I'm sorry for your loss willow. This morning was a 20 minute walk/run with Matt. This one had longer intervals than the last walk/run I took, which was nice. I was also able to take up the speed just a little bit. The goal is small, but steady progress here.

Had a nice little cardio session over lunch, trainer later.
5 min warm up with Hannah F 30 min 90s ride with Cody 5 min cool down with Ally
I am on a 90s ride kick this week apparently. This one with Cody (his most recent 90s ride) was super fun and a great playlist. He was extra goofy and it was a nice playful ride but also lots of hills.

I was for sure making bracelets and wearing jellies in 1992 because that was the year I entered kindergarten.

Rusty Red, you are definitely a runner. Also, maybe a plus side to the forced outdoor running is that it will help you grow train in some more similar conditions to your marathon. Don’t worry about pace! Put on something you enjoy listening to, and try to visualize different parts of the course.

Easy four miles for me today (to a podcast), stretching and a 20 minute barre class with Hannah C. I definitely feel the burn in those barre classes!

So frustrating! I have heard that the new ones with the new material for the bearings do sound louder but the tread Facebook group seems to think any vibration should be constant, not intermittent. I'm hoping with yours they can recalibrate it to make it work for you. I wish I could send it to you to see if I am crazy or not. I’m still annoyed about it. I tried to see if I could PM you my video but it looks like I can only send a photo. If you’re comfortable sharing your IG handle, I can send you the video there (I think?) but I totally understand if you aren’t comfortable. It’s kind of frustrating because on my phone speakers I can’t even hear the vibration. I have to play it through good headphones to hear it but in person it seems so loud.

30 min intervals and arms ride with Jess 5 min cool down with Emma 10 min full body stretch with Ben That was my first arms ride and I really liked that format! The only problem is my bike is kind of tucked in an alcove so I don’t have full range of motion of my arms. I think we need to pull it out a couple of feet. Afterwards I took my son on what we call a “nap walk”. He basically will not nap now unless he falls asleep in the stroller first. Then you have a window of time in which to transfer him onto the couch or he’ll wake up when you move him. So he fell asleep when I was at the low point of my route and I had to haul it up the big hill to get home within the window. It’s insane what those of us with bad sleepers do. 😅 I’m so glad the baby is a decent sleeper because I’m pretty sure the 3 year old will be sleeping with me into elementary school. Oh wow, this was my eldest. I used to plan for walks in the stroller around naptime, and then beeline back to the house once she was asleep and park the stroller, haha. I seriously just had flashbacks. If it makes you feel better, she's nine now and sleeps just fine, albeit with approximately 100 different stuffed animals every night. Ok so only 6 years to go! 😂😅

Is it weird that I still love that stupid tread? I enjoy it more than the bike. I hope your delivery goes smoothly. Usually they do, that part is easy, but I think the base itself has been a huge hit or miss since basically the very introduction of the tread.
But you've had what, four at this point? And they've all been lemons? That does not inspire confidence! I'm glad you still love it, though. I'm really looking forward to adding running to my routine, my body is ready for a change. (I know I could have been running outside this whole time, but I'm a.) not confident enough to do it in public and b.) have weak ankles that I have rolled repeatedly over the years and I really don't like running on the sidewalk or street.) Maybe you’re thinking of me? I’m on base #3. I bumped a thread from April in the tread Facebook group yesterday to ask someone with a similar issue if their base swap fixed the problem. She PMed me and said the XPO delivery person told her off the record that she needs to ask for a whole new tread, not just a base, because they are “refurbing” the old bases and giving them back to people during base swaps so you could end up with another faulty one. When she pushed for a completely new tread, she got a good one. So maybe that’s what I need to do.

I weighed in yesterday because I knew today would be CD1. And I lost about four pounds in April. I'm pretty happy with that. Then I ordered an acai bowl for breakfast because I was feeling nostalgic for pre-pandemic life in the office. It was delicious. Also moved a little.
-5min warm up ride with Christine -20min groove ride with Cody - loved this -10min of stretching and PT exercises -10min yoga basics: cow face pose with Aditi -10min yoga basics: lotus with Aditi
Today is a rest day because I'm in meetings til 6pm.

My bench went ok last night. Deadlifts started ok and ended with a mess of missed lifts, stuff being harder than it should be, and a tear in my new lifting suit (I'm working with the company I bought it from to get it replaced ASAP). I won't be able to lift Saturday, so I asked to get my stuff moved around. Well, I can do Friday's today and Saturday's tomorrow. Not what I wanted (I wanted Saturday's today and Friday on it's normal day and time) but FINE.

I just finished the Rebecca Kennedy 10 minute arms and shoulders from 4/6/21 and the Chase Tucker 10 minute glutes and legs stretch from 3/10/2020. Both were really great. Definitely recommend them if you haven't taken them already.

Walked the girls to school and scheduled a lower body stack for this evening. Then I shattered the glass top patio table and spent about an hour cleaning it up. I may have a drink instead of working out.
B: Yogurt w granola L: Black bean patty with fajita veg and avocado D: Cauliflower pizza

I had planned an active recovery day for today; 20 minute recovery ride and some yoga. But it's so awful and gross and rainy. School was kind of a shit show and I'm tired. So I spent the evening just focused on my kids and ordered us too much pizza instead. I'll get a run in tomorrow.

Luckily escaped without a scratch - it was all very dramatic. I was trying to put the umbrella into the table so I could take a meeting out there this afternoon...then one of my sweet precious angels distracted me and the umbrella slipped out of my hands. I used "ove gloves" and was able to scoop a lot of it up with my hands and a dust pan. Unfortunately, the patio has a bunch of cracks in it so a big of glass is stuck and will take a while to get out.

3 mile run in the pouring rain today, and I did it in exactly 30:00! First mile was slower but the last two were under a 10" pace. Twice this week I have managed that! Between the HCOTF workouts yesterday and running today though, I'm looking forward to my rest day tomorrow. My legs definitely need it.
Food has been good and on plan today. I haven't felt any deprivation from the lower calorie goal, so that's positive.

I know we were lamenting the lack of true descriptions in class descriptions on paloton workouts recently. It looks like a 60 minute PZE class of Olivia's dropped that wasn't supposed to because it's apparently a midpoint class for a new PZE program. So not only will there be a new program but the description included the actual workout break down! I'm hoping that become a norm for all classes going forward. Here's to hoping that's a new drop for Homecoming this weekend.

Yesterday was an active rest day. I did 30 min WHM: Women of Pop yoga flow with Aditi. I planned to do a 20 min low impact ride but DD decided late yesterday evening she absolutely must make a cookie cake for my birthday today so I ended up supervising/assisting with that instead.
Today wasn’t my best food day — breakfast included a cake pop, and I’ll have cookie cake later tonight, but I’ve got some healthier options pre-planned for tomorrow and my workouts already stacked. I LOVEDDDD Kendall’s emo ride I did today, took me right back to high school. 10 min core w/ Andy 10 min HIIT w/ Jess 20 min full body w/ Robin 30 min 2000’s ride w/ Kendall

Back and shoulders and core tonight with my trainer. He was not messing around. I was doing so much better with planks though so I am really happy that my core is getting stronger.

Had a really good arm day today, I will be feeling that tomorrow. Today I also got 15k steps, which is the first time I got over 10k steps (with exception of my 3 work days per week, I always hit over 12k) since my semester started and it felt SO good to not be a sloth. I am really looking forward to being more active this summer. 5 am cardio tomorrow, then work all weekend. Bleh.

That's where I saw that, sounds like a new PZ program coming out, which make sense with Ben joining the PZ crew.

I did Hannah's Vinyl Vault ride today as planned and it was great. A great active recovery ride. Not easy, but not hard. Loved the music.
Super annoyed that you have to take *specific* yoga classes to count toward the badge. Since today's HCOF stack included a 20 minute flow and a 10 minute beginner focus flow, but neither of them counted toward the Foundations badge.
Oh well. I have a really light work day tomorrow, maybe I will work in some shorter yoga sequences just to stretch throughout the day.
I'm going to try to get on for Cody's live XOXO tomorrow at 3pst/6est for my 500th, anyone else planning to be there?
