willow I can definitely see a difference! That cute baby looks just like you too 😍 Haha thank you, he’s definitely the twin that resembles me a bit more. His brother looks just like my H. Which is funny since so many people have trouble telling them apart. 😂

I think I forgot to check in yesterday. It has been a busy weekend! I loved the HCOF arms stack yesterday, but was so ready for a recovery day today.
20 minute low impact with Tunde 10 minute core with Olivia 45 minute two-for-one yoga flow with Denis and Chelsea
DS2 had his very first drop-off playdate today with a little boy in his class who lives nearby, and had the best time! I hope that bonding more with a few close friends will help him feel less anxious at school.
DS1 learned a "fun" lesson about putting off a big paper until the day it's due, and then being tired and stressed having to stay up and get it done. If only his parents had warned him!

I know we were recently talking about pausing workouts on the Peloton and I saw this in the Peloton mom FB group. I haven’t tried it but thought I’d share in case it works! Copy and pasted below. “ Discovered a way to PAUSE during an On-Demand Ride and just had to share - for those of us that need to pause (for any reason), I hope you find this helpful. For those of you that don’t believe in pausing, please just move on.... While riding an OD ride, hit “Settings” on upper-right corner, then “Device settings”. If you leave the screen there (as if you were adjusting WiFi or BT settings), your ride will PAUSE and will return to where you left off when you Exit “Settings”. 😊” Will definitely try this. It make me hesitate to use the bike for workouts, riding or otherwise, when I also have to solo parent because it's rare when I don't have to pause a workout. I can still pause on all my other devices. So dumb. willow there's definitely a noticeable difference! You look great!

I spent most of my day doing laundry, cleaning and organizing my house. I did manage to get in a 10 minute low impact ride and the 10 min core workout from the HCOTF calendar. I was too tired for much else, so it worked out to an active rest day. I didn't really track food today, but I didn't go crazy either. Food is already tracked for tomorrow.
I saw that there is a very local to me in-person half in October on a mostly downhill course. I'm really tempted to sign up even though I am currently in end-of-training angst for a half I haven't even run yet. I need to decide by mid May before the price goes up, but I'm leaning toward going for it, especially if I can keep some of my current endurance going through the summer, which would reduce the length of training I'd need to do.

willow I can definitely tell a difference! 20 min hike with Olivia 20 min EDM run with Becs 10 min cool down with Andy 5 min lower body stretch with Ben I hadn’t done a hike in awhile and forgot how high the output can be. It was on par with a run of the same length and that was one of the easier Peloton hikes I’ve done. It maxed out at 10% but the average incline was only 5%. For comparison my last RK hike averaged 11% and I had to go at a snail’s pace. I need to remember to incorporate the hikes in more often!

I got up to work out at 5 am today. I haven't done that since before I had kids. Oof.
Stack: 20 minute Beginner Ride with Olivia (Note: this beginner ride didn't feel so "beginner" that early in the morning. She does not play.) 15 minute Legs and Glutes with Ben 5 minute lower body stretch with Ben
Happy Monday! It is 8:07 and I want to nap at my desk.

I had a 5k Saturday. I went to dinner and my dad came wiht us on Friday night. I ended up drinking like 2 bottles of wine with him while chit chatting. Needless to say I did not pr that run. I felt sick at the beginning but it ended up as a really awesome run, even slow. We ran thru this nature preserve that only opens up once a year to the public - we saw multi million dollar homes, so many peacocks, gorgeous sun rises over lakes and lots of orange trees and flowers. Instead of a medal we were given red maple trees. PDQ poof
Then we went to a resort and swam the weekend away celebrating DD's bday, which is today. 8 years old. I hope to get in a quick 20 min run before cheer practice tonight.

It's school vacation week and H is off with the kids so I am working in office most of the week. Which meant getting up at my old time if I wanted to squeeze a workout in. I only half succeeded, lol. Managed to fit in a quick upper body strength and a 2mile run. If I have energy later I may do a bit more.
Food for the day: B:Coconut milk, Protein & Spinach shake. Banana L:Mixed greens, carrots, app[le, coconut milk yogurt S:RX bar, Pineapple, blueberries D:Roasted chicken, green beans

i drank a little more than i planned to Saturday, but i kept my eating in check and i am back on track for the week after doing a little meal prep last night - DS is away until Wednesday so i have a little more time to fit in workouts
B - F-Factor smoothie L - kale salad with roasted broccoli, sweet potato and smoked tofu S - mini peppers and BBQ sauce D - Cauliflower fried rice with tempeh W - 45 min ride and core

good morning! I have been dabbling in macros this weekend, but I am going to have to be a lot more mindful of my choices, since I found just the way I eat normally was around 50% carbs, 35% fat and 15% protein. My clothes are getting uncomfortable and so I'd like to just get back to comfortable and lose 5-10lbs.
We spent last night making the wood fired oven pizzas and it was amazing! I am in a great mood today because my sister is pregnant! She has been doing IVF and I had all the things crossed for her.

So now I'm back on live chat and ready to light somebody up, because NordicTrack confirmed they got it on the 21st. I want my delivery.

So the latest is YRC ran the first leg of the shipment route but didn't leave the POD with XPO, and they can't call me to schedule delivery until they get it. Supposedly it will be today. I'm going on YRC's live chat as soon as it opens.

I got up this morning for a 20 minute walk/run with Robin and lots of stretching. Right now, I'm erring on the side of more stretching than less until I feel more comfortable with how things are progressing. After all the work I've put in so far to get here, I don't want to take a step back.
I also got my second vaccine today! Fingers crossed it goes as well as the first one did, but also completely expecting to be taking it very easy.

The scale has been creeping up pretty steadily over the last couple of weeks and I don't get it, I have changed absolutely nothing about my diet or exercise! Maybe additional stress is causing it? Work and school stuff for the kids is pretty hard right now.
I mean it's not a big deal, I'm not focusing on the numbers, just thought it was weird since I've been pretty steady and over the last couple weeks have inched up two pounds. I don't track my food but I am content with my diet.
Anyway, busy day at work today, and I have to try to get the cat to the vet between meetings in the morning because he appears to have torn one of his back toenails pretty bad and I want to have it checked out.
I'll spend the day looking forward to my evening workout for that sweet, sweet stress relief!

ood morning!
I didn’t check in this weekend because THIS happened:
I’m exhausted. First night was okay, but last night she decided she was done being in her crate at 2:30 and proceeded to whine and howl for over 30 minutes. Then she started rattling her crate. Then.....blissful silence. Most likely because she figured out a way out of her crate and we found her sleeping at the foot of our bed, snuggled into the plush area rug. Her crate door was still locked. 😳
On top of that, I came down with a cold the same day we brought her home and it’s robbing me of any and all energy, so so didn’t even bother to bring my running stuff to work. just want to put my head down on my desk and sleeeeeeeep.

sweetp , omg she is so adorable! but when i start mentioning that we are looking for a puppy; please refer me to this post, lol. I have been anti-puppy for so long and H and the kids have been BEGGING since one of our other Goldens died two years ago. She kind of fell into our laps and my parents have her brother. Who, according to my mom, slept though the night last night. I have so many exhaustion-fueled regrets for not sticking to my guns.
