I had a nice active recovery day yesterday. I chose a 10min restorative yoga with Aditi that was all one supported posture lying on my back. It wasn't what I expected but I loved it. It can be hard for me to turn off my mind and focus on breathing, so that was great practice. I paired it with a 5min full body stretch with Becs. After my kids were in bed, I got on the bike for Christine's 20min reflection ride and 5min post-ride stretch with Jess K. I'll come back later after my workout today. I really wanted to eat like an asshole (TM cnf ) with McDonald's delivery for lunch, but I resisted. Had leftover carne asada fries (Skinnytaste) instead, and they were equally satisfying. Winning!

I actually got up instead of hitting snooze this morning and did a 30 minute powerzone ride. It felt good to get it done.
I wasn’t able to do Mondays workout on the HCOTF calendar so yesterday I picked a 30 minute full body from Jess Sims on 20-10-16. It’s always a really great full body workout and I’m sore for the first time in a while. Today I tried to demonstrate a push up to my kid for virtual gym class and almost smashed my face, thankfully I was well off camera.

I'm over my limit, honestly. Just too much right now, with having to replace the water heater yesterday and now this. I've never run in the snow so I'm nervous, but I'll make it work. I'm also annoyed with myself that I didn't read the mask policy before joining this morning. I think the snow will likely be gone soon. It's almost completely melted here and we had 4 inches. So you should be ok to run outdoors. But also, maybe the universe is trying to get you to take a step back and slow down for a few days. You work so hard, perhaps you just need a break while you deal with the water heater and stuff. I can't do that mentally, unfortunately. I need the exercise.

I did get in touch with XPO earlier because the thing was shipped on the 12th, should be to them by now. They did say it's supposed to be in their terminal tomorrow and they should be calling me a day or two later to schedule delivery. I set up an appt to have a company come out and pick up the hunk of junk tomorrow.

I'm going to give my run a shot outdoors today and see how I feel about it. I hate running loop repeats but it's the closest path to me. Temps are going back up next week so at least I shouldn't have to do this in the cold for too long.

I remember getting back to running again after doing OTF for a long time, and was nervous but was actually better trained for it and had faster times. Anyway, even if performance isnt there, I hope you and your can-do attitude make you feel like the badass you are.

Hi.
I wasn’t feeling it today at all. My allergies are making me feel very off balance but once I started I had a good workout. (Autocorrect changed workout to queso at first...I mean that would be better).
30 minute pop ride with Cody. It was the boys vs girls one and had me laughing. 10 minute arms with Ally (her newest...all posterior chain) 10 minute core with Rebecca. Sneaky hard!
Lots of stretching after. It seems to be helping so I’m going to force myself to do it every day.

notexactly, congrats! I called my old weight doctor's office to order the shakes/bars I had success with pre-pandemic. I am ready to commit to it again. I am so stiff, my sciatica from pregnancy is back, and my joints hurt from the extra weight, especially given how physically active I am (I average 13000-15000 steps a day). At this point, I am medically 90 lbs overweight. I am not aiming to lose 90, mind you, but I DO feel better when I do this.

Rusty Red I just went back to my gym this week for the first time. I was nervous, but it is an LA Fitness so it is massive, and they appear to have strict mask compliance. I didn't see anyone without a mask or wearing one inappropriately. Of course people were temporarily removing them to drink water or wipe sweat or whatever but that is all. I felt pretty comfortable because there were hand sanitizer stations everywhere and I was in the personal training area with just my trainer and no one else, though. I can't say how it feels to do cardio in a mask because I only do lifting with him.

Today I had planned to do a short ride and then some arms but I realized it would be my 350th in two rides so I hopped on for Kendall's live ride at 10:30 after doing a warm up. THEN I remembered it is the 5 year anniversary of Prince's death so I was like ok well I have to do the Prince ride again, ha. SO no lifting today but that's ok. I did a lot of cardio.
5 min Prince warm up ride with Ally 30 min 2000s ride with Kendall (live, 350th) 30 min Prince ride with Ally and Emma
The 2000s ride with Kendall was a lot of fun. It was "emo" themed so all the music took me back to high school and working at Hollister, haha.

I don't think I have ever taken a class with Selena, but curiosity is killing me now. I got in some early morning rides before a busy morning of work meetings. It was a Cody day. I needed something upbeat since the weather is nuts here and we currently have two inches of snow. Boo hiss. 30min pop ride w/ Cody 10min cool down w/ Cody 5min stretch w/ Cody She is good in small doses. Her older glutes and legs classes are really well programmed, IMO. I feel like her new stuff is really rushed and a little messy. This is good to know. I have liked her strength classes, but I probably took older ones.

Hello! Had a pretty decent workout today, burst training. Had to do some modifications due to my hip because they had some exercises that were done on each leg and it just didn’t feel good. Hoping my energy levels stay up so I can sit on my butt the rest of the day studying for an exam. I also bought some of that Dolly Parton Ice cream from Jeni’s and it should arrive today so I can’t wait for snack time tonight! Please report back on that ice cream. I almost bought some and had it sent here, but I have several pints of Jeni's still in the fridge, so I didn't. I'm so curious!

Oh also many of you may know that my peloton handle is a nod to Prince and there were a good handful of people doing the prince ride with me live and I got a bunch of high fives so I suspect that is why, haha.

Hi.
I'm very cranky right now. My kids are driving me god damn crazy. I don't feel like answering dumb questions anymore tonight or listen to anymore whining. I had a shit day at work and I'm so fucking over teaching this year. And I got to miss the first semester and I'm still burnt out by the pandemic bullshit teaching bullshit. Only 8 more academic weeks after this one 🙄😫

That was apparently my 100th yoga class.so that's fun.
I missed lunch today at school. I'm starving and ordered us pizza. I give no fucks right now, but I will be pissed in the morning when I'm bloated and fat. At least I'm aware of my own emotional self destruction.

Speaking of motivation - I've had too much screen time today. I was on a zoom meeting from 9am - 2pm while also juggling distance learning with two kids who violently hate it. Now it's 2:36pm and I am totally fried. I'll probably cut out a little early so we can have a picnic dinner at a park.

I love Selena for running. She's never my first choice for strength. I agree with this. Her country and rock runs are always so fun. I don’t think I’ve ever taken a strength class with her.

Finally saw a PT today for my hip injury. I got lucky, apparently he’s the running specialist in that office. I’m going back in a few weeks for a running-specific evaluation. Today he checked out my flexibility and strength and gave me some stretches and strength work to do before the next appointment. I was really pleased with the appointment over all, and I’m glad to have some next steps. Apparently my right leg is slightly longer than my left leg, too.
Walked about three and a half miles today with the dog. Might try a run tomorrow. Hip is feeling better after three days off running.

My workouts have been light on strength this week, but I feel great. So I'm fine with that.
-5min warm up ride Jess K (and a PR! Lol) -20min low impact ride with Leanne -5min post-ride stretch with Leanne -10min focus flow hips with CJR and my PT homework
Food has been good today. I'm excited about dinner. Once a week Mh and I have a picnic — hummus, veggies, pepperoni, cheese, etc. — and it's my favorite.

I ran 3 miles in a rain and hailstorm today. Luckily the hail was small and it switched to snow quickly after I was done. The beginning was slow but I was able to maintain a fast pace for me for a pretty long time during the last mile.
I have been so tired and uninterested in exercise this week, so I am proud of myself for getting it done everyday. I haven’t been sleeping well recently, and school has been such a mess. I’ve been cleaning up a lot of messes that aren’t mine and I’m really burning out. The fourth quarter doesn’t even start until next week 😭.

Ugh. Work was rough today and my period came almost 2 weeks early. Wtf?!
But I had tofu green curry for dinner, which was excellent. And DD wanted to do a cosmic kids yoga with me before her bath, so I got a 25 minute bonus fast yoga session.
