I managed to sneak in a 30 min indoor cycle yesterday due to a snafu in kid pickup. I'll take it!
I woke early for a full body lift at home. Not my favorite. Lots of single leg, high rep, tempo stuff when I have to workout at home. All things I hate, lol. B: two scrambled eggs with spinach and mushrooms L: sweet green salad with chicken D: wine, chicken tacos

I am going to try to get a PZE in tonight. I wanted to wake up early this morning adn do it but I got no sleep all night so I opted to stay in bed. I am having a hell of a few months and trying to lower my expectations to just make it through as best I can.

I FINALLY got some sleep last night (sorry cnf, I don't mean to rub it in! ). I got up and went to CF, though I probably should have taken the extra hour of sleep instead. Especially since the WOD was rope climbs and my upper body is so sore from the last two days. But I did it! 10x16' rope climbs. I'm taking tomorrow off and running instead. I can barely hold my pen now. It's ok! The baby woke twice and both girls slept through the night, so I got more than usual

I agree re: Selena. It bums me out because I think her programming is excellent, but I struggle with watching/listening to her. Can she please program and then pass off to someone else? Haha. Omg yes. I thought it was just me being a jerk.

I slept in and fit in a live run (outdoors though) - 30 min walk+run with olivia this morning. I did push myself too and was at a 7.50 pace for several intervals. it felt good to run.
i also ordered and tried the new 6am run club pre workout. i think it helped. and it didn't taste like crap. bonus.
Food; B: everything bagel with cream cheese L: taco salad / banana S: yogurt with protein powder D: treating the kids to happy meals before cheer. Me I don't know. maybe a burger as well.

I don’t think I checked in yesterday. I just did a 5k and stretching. Today I did Cody’s Drag Race ride, stretching and core strength. I might try for something else upper body focused. We’ll see.
I got a cortisone injection for my bursitis/ IT band syndrome today. Holy hell did that injection hurt. I audibly yelped in pain on the table. Hopefully it will ultimately mean no pain for me though. The doctor said it could take about a week, and then I follow up with him another week after that. If it’s not working, I get another shot. I so hope it works!

Well, my tread crashed and burned today, so I have to keep the new delivery, though I have no idea when it is coming and no indication. So I have to join a gym temporarily if I don't want to lose my training. I'm just about done overall right now.

Hello! Had a pretty decent workout today, burst training. Had to do some modifications due to my hip because they had some exercises that were done on each leg and it just didn’t feel good. Hoping my energy levels stay up so I can sit on my butt the rest of the day studying for an exam. I also bought some of that Dolly Parton Ice cream from Jeni’s and it should arrive today so I can’t wait for snack time tonight!

I got my first shot today - hoping i feel fine later to workout, but hearing the first is typically ok
Going to hop on the bike later and do core. I'm really trying to stick to my meals with only planned snacks: B - Protein Shake, coffee L - Broccoli Slaw salad with smoked tofu D- Zoodles with tempeh and veggies in peanut sauce Snack - Cheese stick, apple with pb2.

I am spoiled by my weather and neighborhood, but I find there are so few people out in the early morning that I only end up with my mask on for maybe 10% of the time.

My training plan is pretty tight on what I'm supposed to do when and I just don't have the kind of terrain around my neighborhood, like an appropriate length hill. It's also snowing and I don't think my first trek back outside in a while should probably be on the snow. 10/10 will fall.

I do run with a mask (outside) every time I run though. It takes some getting used to. Be prepared to go a little slower than you have been. Take rests as needed.

I had a weird food day yesterday - I ate a yogurt parfait for breakfast, then remembered we had leftover red sauce (with tons of veggies blended in to trick my kids!) that I wanted to eat with an egg cooked in it (like shakshuka) and an english muffin, so I had that for second breakfast, then was stuffed, so didn't eat lunch. Had some veggies and hummus in the afternoon, and made broccoli cheese soup with my kids for dinner. All over the place, but it was all good. I ended up taking 2 walks - one around lunch with H (so nice to be kid free during the day!), and another quick one before I picked up DS.
Trying to think through my choices in advance today, so I am currently cooking some oatmeal with raisins and apples, and I'll probably eat that with a scoop of peanut butter after I do school drop off (West Coast + 9:15 school start!)
My friend and I hiked this morning. I will likely take another walk on my own, and then some sort of family extravaganza outside this afternoon.
I have shot #2 tomorrow, so thinking I'll get up and run in the morning beforehand!

Did 3 short videos this morning as kind of an active rest days - pilates, core yoga, bodyweight strength
B: English muffin with avocado and an egg L: Pasta salad, cucumber, cherry tomatoes and hummus D: Salad with leftover ribs

I have some and honestly I don't find them "better" than the run of the mill ones from Target. I have seen a lot of people saying they prefer the disposable- maybe take an extra in case it gets wet?

I had my endocrinology appointment this morning and I have lost 12 lbs! My doctor is very pleased with me.
Editing to add: she said everything else looks good, all my labs were always great with the exception of one stupid hormone lol, and now I have to see her every 6 months instead of 3. So definitely some improvement!

I did the HCOTF stack from yesterday because I missed it and I didn’t like what was on today. Paired it with some yoga/hip openers to start and an 80s ride with Robin that was really fun to end.

Just too much right now, with having to replace the water heater yesterday and now this. I've never run in the snow so I'm nervous, but I'll make it work. So you should be ok to run outdoors. But also, maybe the universe is trying to get you to take a step back and slow down for a few days. You work so hard, perhaps you just need a break while you deal with the water heater and stuff.

It’s just one day and if running in the snow makes you stressed out, it’s not worth it. I would imagine the snow will be gone tomorrow. There’s nothing you can do about the water heater but maybe there’s a way to reframe all of the workout stuff in a way that doesn’t add to your stress?
