Missed these checkins! Kids' activities and work kept me from the gym for 9 (!!!) days. Yikes. Back at it this am, 5:30 am Body Pump, then I had to leave and get kids to school. Back to the gym for 35 min cardio. I really liked doing that; the gym is right by my house so nbd. I should have done longer. Probably won't get a workout in this weekend and eating will be mediocre but cocktails will be enjoyed! Back to the grind Monday.

Y'all will be proud to hear I stayed sloth yesterday. NSV, I can tell my consistency with speed work is improving my running overall. I recover much faster now between intervals. Pretty cool. I've been watching the MBF workouts while I've been running and I think I want to give it a try. Just playing around with different things for lifting until I find something I actually enjoy. 7 mile run w/hill repeats (3%, 8:34 pace, 8 x 400) 10 Rounds - Wk 2 Boxing 2 I completed the first 3 days before i turned into a sloth this week.
I like it so far.

Those of you that have done MBF - I can fake the rope movements for the first couple of workouts, right? I can't get one delivered until Sunday and they don't seem to sell them in stores anywhere. oh i fake those every work out with no intentions of buying any.

I had a physical therapy evaluation today, and I think it went really well. I was evaluated for diastasis recti, which I have a mild case of. It'll change some of the core work I do; that's fine. We also addressed pain in my right hip and low back I've had off and on for years. No one has ever been able to explain why that pain radiates into my foot and toes, but she said it's likely due to an aggravated sciatic nerve. Which I'm excited about! Maybe some real relief. Anyway, now I have homework. Tracked my food for the first time all week today. Also, I got in a 20 minute low impact ride with Robin and 10 minutes of restorative yoga with Chelsea Jackson Roberts. When I went to my very physical hands on pt - i learned this could be from your hips. if they are too tight then your muscles aren't lining up right - if that makes sense. my hips caused foot pain when i walked or ran. we worked on my hips mobility for 6 weeks and my foot pain went away. i continue to do hip focused yoga and stretching. I'm so glad to hear you say this. Exactly what my PT said too. And that it should improve with 6–8 weeks of therapy and stretching. When the pain in my foot first started, it was excruciating. Like Mh and I had to leave in the middle of a concert because my foot and toes hurt so badly. I saw a doctor, and the doctor totally brushed me off. It feels great to have taken this step and advocated for myself.

6 AM CF this morning:
20 minute AMRAP: 10 80# push press 10 American KB swings 10 20" box jumps
It was miserable and my entire body felt like lead, but I beat my score from a year ago by 8 reps so I'll take it. 10 rounds + 25 reps

Yesterday's recovery day aligned perfectly with my first Pfizer shot. I was glad to be moving but not working too hard.
20 minute reflection ride with CDE 15 minute pilates with Kristin 20 minute yoga flow twists with Anna 10 minute restorative yoga with Chelsea (the Christmas music kind of threw me off on this one)
Happy to report I'm feeling totally fine, my arm is a tiny bit sore but less than with the flu shot this year. I'm planning to do a ride later and HCOF leg day later, assuming I continue to feel fine.
Yay, Friday! I hope everyone has a great day!

Ran 3 miles in the rain after school today. I was a little slower today due to being super sore from the strength workout yesterday, but my run felt really good and was very consistent. My quads and hips are KILLING me now though. I did a 10 min stretch and it’s feeling better but looking forward to a rest day tomorrow. I stayed within my macros for the 8th day in a row but I’m feeling just as bloated as ever, of course. ![](https://i.imgur.com/9wMaPJq.jpg) Very true! And at least 75% more in the snow!

I am so sore today. I am feeling muscles in my thighs that I didn’t even know existed. Aside from stretching today is a complete rest day. I have an 8 mile run tomorrow morning and I don’t want to risk further strain even from working out other parts of my body.
Food is all planned and within my macros for the day. I even put dinner in the crockpot, so no chance of ordering out or messing with my macros.

I am a bottomless pit today. I've had breakfast, a snack, another snack, and I just finished lunch and am already trying to remember what else is in my lunchbox. I need to reign it in.

I had two breakfasts + a bonus cappuccino. It's Friday, and you've been working out hard! I am proud to say I included fruit in both of my breakfasts, and feel satiated and happy! (Yogurt with raspberries/honey/almonds, followed by an english muffin with avocado and Bitchin sauce). BTW, this is my official (but unsponsored) plug for Bitchin sauce - we got it in our imperfect box and it's tangy, salty, and just delicious. We've been eating it on top of our grain bowls this week, but it is also great as a dip in place of hummus (so with chips or veggies) and spectacular mixed in to avo toast!

Rest day for me today as I donated blood this morning. I'll do some stretching in a bit but that's it. Maybe a walk later after work.

I gave blood Wednesday and it really took it out of me! Took it easy yesterday morning, just biked my kid to school, and then after a solid day of eating ran in the afternoon. My heart rate didn't recover as well as it normally does in the intervals, but I was happy to get out on a nice afternoon. We rode bikes to school again today, and I plan to walk at some point when H and I have schedules that line up between now and lunch time. One adult will go pick her up by bike as well, we'll rock paper scissors when that time comes ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) ETA I already forgot that I did a 15 min Jess King pilates class this morning. I like adding some core work in to my day!

Very true! And at least 75% more in the snow! I will take snow over rain any day! I despise the snow and cold in general, so any activity in the snow is harder for me to get through both mentally and physically. We actually got some snow today and I am so glad it’s not a running day!

It just hit me today that I have not run outside since my last race in Nov 2019. Huh.
It doesn't really bother me, just weird to think about.

We’ll have already eaten by the time he gets home.

yay friday indeed! I did a PZE this morning. It was nice to get on the bike and just ride without it being too hard. The challenge starts Monday so I know the hard rides will be here soon enough haha.

I’m about to head downstairs to workout. Today is my last day of liift4, which Is timed perfectly with a little beach getaway Dh and I are leaving for tomorrow. I’m definitely not as beach ready as I hoped, but the second I have a cocktail I’ll be bloated anyway so, oh well. This was my 4th round of liift 4 in 16 months, and I’ve increased to weights that I would have never thought I could, so that’s awesome.
Food this week hasn’t been great because I didn’t buy any groceries since we are leaving and the kids will be with my parents. So it was a lot of leftovers from ds’s birthday and whatever else we could scrounge up. I did manage to get a few protein shakes in at least.

TGIF! Happy Friday y’all!
I haven’t been around much this week. My body has been so stuff and sore so I’ve been concentrating on just walks and stretches. Attempted to get back to it today and massive fail. My back immediately tightened up while riding so I bailed after 10 minutes and attempted strength instead. Nope my knees couldn’t take it. So very frustrating. I guess I’ll take a few more rest days and start fresh next week. It may be time for me to head back to the gym. The elliptical is always good for me when I need lower impact.

At PT this morning, I was told to give more walking a try to see how it feels. I'm really pumped about this! I'm hoping either the weather cooperates to get outside or I'm able to get on the treadmill for some walking this weekend. I also need to get back to my strength work-outs. I was in a weird mood/feeling sorry for myself this week, so I really took to sloth days. My balance was doing enough better this morning that I had to try and balance on one foot with my eyes closed. I'm sure that was entertaining for everyone around because I was falling all over the place.
Happy Friday everyone!

Happy Friday! I got in 5k, some stretching and walking. Currently walking home in the rain, actually, because I did not prepare! Oops.
