I forgot to update yesterday. It was a nice day so I was able to get out for a midday walk and then spent most of the rest of the afternoon outside.
30 min pop ride with Kendall 5 min cool down with Kendall 5 min glutes and legs stretch with Selena
I have to say I didn’t love that ride. The efforts didn’t really flow with the music most of the time which I kind of expect for a fun ride. And then I accidentally took a cool down I’d already taken. But it got done and that’s the important part!

Good morning. It’s been a day and it’s not even noon. My mom called me this morning and told me my elderly dad fell off the top of a ladder. She was very upset but he seems to be ok. He was supposed to stay at home while my mom watched the kids for our Florida trip but now I don’t know what’s happening because she’s scared to leave him.
Anyway, I ended up taking an easy day today. I wasn’t feeling it but made myself get on the treadmill and do something. I did a 30 minute boot camp with Selena and then a short walk, for a total of 2 miles.

I just want this call to end so I can go get my workout done before I talk myself out of it.

I have a surgery tomorrow at 1pm (cataract, bc I’m 85 yo 😒) and they’re putting me NPO after midnight! Ughhhh I’m dreading it already. Whyyyyy does it have to be so far in advance (I mean, I get it but I don’t have to like it). I foresee a day of grumpiness, then a shiny new lens, then a migraine from lack of food. Good luck today! I can commiserate for sure, this is exactly how i felt yesterday!! I had my consult finally and they gave me my instructions for the endoscopy/colonoscopy. a whole day of fasting plus no advil!! it's gonna be brutal and definitely migraine city. It will be nice to get answers but I am absolutely dreading the prep week and especially the prep day. This morning I was rewarded with a snow day so I didn't have to worry about getting kids ready or commuting, so I was able to jump on the Denis live ride. He killed me. It was a hard first ride back after a week omg. But I'm glad its done, onward lol. It’s literally the worst. I mean, like not *literally* literally. But still.

My last endoscopy was like that. 3 PM procedure, midnight fasting. I was like "DO YOU PEOPLE EVEN KNOW ME?!?!". Thankfully it was moved up to 1 PM that day, but still.

My dr's office wanted me to do a 10AM physical and I laughed at them and told them to find me whatever day had a 7:30 appointment.
Ew to afternoon fasting. That is terrible.

My squats were trash last night, so that was super fun. Everything was a mess, I got buried by a weight I can do without my supportive gear, I had to split between gym and home again, so I ended up getting done at like 10 again.
Yay.

I am sorry about your dad caer! I am not going to lie, I am terrified of ladders. I am glad it sounds like he's doing ok. Good luck w/ the procedure today jorkzy. Fasting is the WORST!!

jrun2013 I can't imagine switching gears and going back in person now after being virtual all year. We've been in person since September (technically I started back in July with my students for ESY) but it took a while to get in the groove and establish protocols and work out the kinks. I do prefer teaching in person, though my students really can't be taught virtually so that's definitely a big piece of it. I do miss being able to save time on commuting, throwing in a load of laundry on my prep, or getting in a workout at lunch though. Right! Getting in a groove is definitely a thing, and it seems pointless now. The kids who opt in, will go in for about 8-10 in person days. I wonder how many of those will be used for state testing. 🤔 I’m glad to go back and see students, but I just kind of wish it wasn’t until September.

Ugh caer that's scary, that is 100% something that will happen to my dad because he thinks he's still 27 (he's 72). He still lifts weights every day and runs and rides his bike and does projects around the house. I hope he's ok and your mom can feel ok about the plan so you can still take your trip!

Yes, my dad is almost 77, with a bad knee and a recently diagnosed autoimmune disease that causes balance issues so he had no business on a ladder. But he’s stubborn AF. Aging parents are tough to navigate.

I didn't end up doing the HCOTF stack yesterday - I was working on my computer outside while my girls played in hot tub and noticed that the weeds growing through our gravel were getting a bit out of hand; so I weed whacked instead. I ended up totally wiped and my wrists and hands are feeling weak today as a result. This evening I'll go on a long (for me) trail run with my dog. Hopefully he gets his butt in gear, last time we did this I had to drag him because he got tired.
AM Snack: Dried coconut B: Yogurt w granola L: Big salad with pineapple sausage D: I think my mom may bring me a salad for dinner too - if not I'll have a baked potato and chicken

I'm still not quite at a point where I can eat the same calories every day. I'm trying to eat a little more but not yet that brave. Kind of makes today suck because it was a light workout day.
Anyway, at least the workout is done. Opinion/personal preference question. If you did full body lifting on Mon, Weds, and Sat, but only had to do abs on two of those days, would you do Mon/Weds or Mon/Sat? I can't decide which I prefer.

Hello!!
I am dragging today. I could not sleep last night! Forced myself on the bike finally and did Ally’s low impact Broadway ride. Amazing and what I needed but I could not keep it low impact. Rent, Hamilton, Grease, and Wicked all in one ride. All my faves. Finished with a cool down and walk with DH and that’s it for today.
Y’all. It’s only Tuesday?! This week is endless.

Hi everyone! I did my first weigh in and gained 2 lbs I tracked, but definitely could have made better choices. I didn't eject a big loss, but was Hubraum surprised about a big gain, mainly because I did slightly better than I have been doing food wise (a few would be binges were stopped simply because I'm tracking and therefore thinking more about choices), plus I exercised. That being said, I certainly didn't do everything I could, so just moving forward. I did 40 minute biking yesterday and 30 min interval run this morning.

Cardio day for me.
5 min warm up ride with Jess K 30 min Jess King Experience with Jess K 15 min low impact ride with Christine
I took Jess's first JKE ride ever from back in 2019. It was so fun and entertaining to see her do it with a live studio. It was also exactly what I needed today. Jess was especially unleashed in her energy and weirdness and I really absorbed that and felt great.
Christine's ride was nice as a slow cool down too. She said at one point "YOU are bigger than a smaller size of pants." and I really liked that.

willow there are definitely days that Christines rides just fill me up. She talked once about her (ex) husband setting her priorities for her and that hit for me. Her WHM ride last year and especially this year was soooooo so good. Like when I am having a hard time I want to take them and I always feel better. When I am purely looking to work out I don't often take her classes but the days when I am looking to release some shit, she's great for that lol

Hi, all. I have been feeling... okay? The last couple days. I think maybe because I have actually gotten enough sleep, or my body has finally accepted that I am on Reglan for the remainder of this pregnancy and it isn't kicking my ass quite as badly each time I take it. I am going to try to get in 20-30 minutes of some sort of activity tonight, either yoga or a bike ride. This is my plan for today and tomorrow, hopefully. I am in "eat ALL the things" pregnancy stage, and have been making up weight gain accordingly. I am happy with where I am at, and glad I scheduled family pics for this weekend while I am still feeling somewhat cute and not quite yet like an inflated, big nosed beach ball. I have been doing my best to fill myself with nutritious choices, but definitely having my fair share of treats. My lunch was this, one of my fave Lillie salads, which I made for dinner last night and just made a couple extra servings for work lunches: lillieeatsandtells.com/farro-and-sweet-potato-salad-with-blackened-salmon/Dinner will be her easy chicken and veggie primavera (from her cookbook) over pasta! Lots of veggies.

Today was a mostly easy day, I wanted to do more but ran out of time before I had to start supervising morning distance learning. Only three more days of this nonsense!
15 minute strength for runners with Becs 10 minute core with Emma 20 minute pop walk with Robin
Salmon and broccoli for dinner, but Costco had my favorite raspberry tart/cookies so that is happening later as well. Balance!

It's here! I was bummed to find H had XPO just leave it in the garage, but my bike is set up and working great now. I'm pretty bummed about my cycling power and strength too. I used to be a beast on the bike. I could ride endlessly outside and could crank out back to back to back spin classes sometimes doing 3 hours straight. I just did 20 minutes of a beginners ride with Leanne and it was hard. Oof. Dumb. I threw in a 10 minute arm toning with Hannah too and that's all I have time for. I need to do a bunch of food prep and cooking and eat still and ugh, too much work. I'll get through it.

cnf it will come back to you! I remember feeling so defeated when I tried my first few rides back after having the twins but it didn’t take long before it was much better.
