20 minute beginner ride with Matt today. I really liked him. 5 minutes post ride stretch with Hannah after. I was down 1.5 lbs this week. Paying attention and being more mindful on the weekends plus actually drinking water seems to be working.

cnf it will come back to you! I remember feeling so defeated when I tried my first few rides back after having the twins but it didn’t take long before it was much better. I know it will. I have barely ridden in five years, so I'm not sure why I thought I'd magically be good at this, lol

This ride sounds fantastic. What day is it from? 4/2! It’s not labeled as Broadway just low impact. So good! I just bookmarked it for tomorrow. Thank you!

Also, can I give a WTF reaction to the fact that I can't seem to pause my workout on the bike. Is that real or am I missing it? My kids interrupt my workouts regularly, I need to be able to hop off occasionally. I'll be seriously bummed if I have to abandon my workout because there's no pause button on the bike. I'm able to pause on my tv and ipad, so that's kind of a bummer.

I’m not sure on that though but I feel like I’ve seen the button “resume workout” before.

There is no pause button 😔

When you come back to the bike in the bottom right corner is a little stopwatch looking symbol, click on that and it will show you your workout in progress and you can either resume or restart. You can’t do it for live rides, but for on demand works fine! Signed, another mom with small children who interrupt 😂

Maybe I’ve been cheating workouts thinking I paused 😬

I rested again yesterday. I jumped on for a 20 minute ride while DS napped to feel things out. I made an appointment with sports med for next week just in case.
20 min country ride with Ally 10 min arms toning with Emma 10 min core with Selena 20 min country ride with Olivia 20 min upper body strength with Selena
I loved the music on the rides - perfect for fun and easy efforts for me. Both classes with Selena were just not good and I’m pretty bummed about that.

I saw an April fools joke on IG this year about how they finally added a pause button. It’s been a long standing gripe of bike and tread owners

I specifically remember one postpartum ride where DS was napping and I had to jump off mid ride and run up 2 flights of stairs in my bike shoes to replace a pacifier and run back downstairs to finish the ride. I knew my fitness was coming around because I still got a PR.

It's here! I was bummed to find H had XPO just leave it in the garage, but my bike is set up and working great now. I'm pretty bummed about my cycling power and strength too. I used to be a beast on the bike. I could ride endlessly outside and could crank out back to back to back spin classes sometimes doing 3 hours straight. I just did 20 minutes of a beginners ride with Leanne and it was hard. Oof. Dumb. I threw in a 10 minute arm toning with Hannah too and that's all I have time for. I need to do a bunch of food prep and cooking and eat still and ugh, too much work. I'll get through it. I have no doubt that you will be a badass on your bike in no time. It always takes a minute to get back into something, but you’ll get there.

I just went with it, but it was frustrating not to be able to truly pause it.

I think their reasoning is so that people don't game it by resting in the middle then getting to the top of the leaderboard. Which is silly because the calibrations are so different between bikes and people at the top are purposely gaming it anyway right now

Literally no one should care either way. Just let moms get shit done!

I've been having a lot of random, severe bouts of pelvic pain for the past several months and I'm having another wave. Sunday night I was in tears because I was in so much pain on my left side and thought I might need to go to the ER. Today at school it hit me hard again on the same side and eventually ibuprofen and a thermacare wrap helped me stop doubling over. I have no idea what it is, possibly ovulation pain or cysts or a recurrence of my endometriosis. I had an ultrasound nearly two months ago and those were possible causes for the pain, but it's hard to know what to do about it when I don't really know what's going on.
Luckily I was able to get my body under control and got my run in. I really wasn't sure if I was up for it and promised myself I could stop if I needed to, but my body was strong and consistent for all 3 miles and I had a great pace. I've felt decent all night, so hopefully the pain won't pop up again.
Food was great and under my macros today, so I'm on a streak there!

Like if you took an in-person spin class in a studio, the leaderboard doesn't allow for pausing. But if I were good enough to be ranking at the top of the leaderboard, I think I might focus my efforts towards competitions where there is more fairness like actual races and keep Peloton as a "just for fun" activity.

You guys. I took the same upper body strength class for the 3rd time in a row on accident! It's a fine class but I didn't mean to take it the second time, let alone the 3rd time in a row. Clearly these kids are frying my brain. Next time I'm picking a different instructor all together to make sure I don't accidentally click it a 4th time.
I got a ton of walking in today despite having a headache most of the day.
10 min upper body strength with Ben 10 min core strength with Matty 10 min full body stretch with Matty
Does anyone know if Peloton gives you the century shirt for 100 stretching classes? Because I do a wide variety of class types but always stretch after, I'm going to hit 100 first on my stretches. It seems kind of a cheesy to get a shirt for that but on the other hand it's important to stretch!

15 min Min hip hop ride with Alex and a 20 min 90s ride with Ally. I had a rough day and these were good to just get me moving and out of my head a bit. Working crazy hours again so I’ll take what I can get.

I don't care that there isn't a pause for live classes, that makes total sense, but on demand should have that option. I'll be curious to see if I can still pause on my treadmill now that my membership is upgraded.
