I had an arthroscopy for my TMJ pain yesterday and holy crap I’m in pain. Also hangry since I’ve only eaten yogurt since 6p last night and my last real food was Tuesday night dinner. But the pain is unreal. And I have to sleep sitting up for 3-5 days. And my hip joints are screaming at that after one night.
But hey maybe in a month I’ll be able to eat a burger without my jaw locking and causing insane pain 👍🏼
And bless my nanny. I forgot to get DS is special pretzels so she went to the store to get them. She also bought me smoothies and ice cream and made me chicken soup. I am so freaking lucky with her.
I am behind and catching up. Work has been a headache and just so busy where I can’t keep up here and then i get so overwhelmed at seeing how many pages I need to catch up on in the weekly threads.

My honeysuckle was delivered today! lol Um. From where? This brought back a childhood memory of a rental house we lived in that had honeysuckle all across the fence line. I swear I can almost smell it right now.

Yikes addymac What are you taking for pain? I hope you get some relief soon. Tramadol q6 and then my dr just called me and told me to add on Advil every 4-6h. It is helping as long as I don’t move my jaw 🥴 I also have a sweet head bra thing going on to help not move my jaw. So fun.

I got this treadmill set up to walk on while I work now. And I thought I'd walk on it a few miles every day to reach 10k steps per day total but I'm loving it and so pretty much strolling more like 7, 8+ miles while I work. The problem is by 6pm I'm fucking falling asleep. And today, finally feeling hangry AF. I'm gonna need a snack plan that isn't Fruit Loops at 2pm.

richard , do you have your original windows? No, they are hideous vinyl insert windows from who knows when that are in terrible condition. We're going to go back to windows that look more in keeping with the house and aren't cheap as shit. The interior trim is original though, but most of it is in terrible shape. So we're going to see how much it is for them to replace the trim but do some custom millwork to keep some of the charm. (We do have some original stained glass windows that won't be touched).

That is a travesty! I bet it will look so good when you're done though. I feel your 100 year old house pain. As it were, my H does window replacements for historical buildings as part of his job if you have any questions/are in need of advice.

We just had someone come in to do an estimate for replacing our windows which are in terrible condition in a 100-year-old house. Hold me. Oh girl i understand. We spent $2700 on one window in our first house (1910 victorian). ONE WINDOW. But it was facing the street and we were in a historic district so i had to follow certain guidelines and then when I found how much the big company cost to do it ingot a local guy who did it for nearly the same price but made me feel better about the exorbitant cost.

As it were, my H does window replacements for historical buildings as part of his job if you have any questions/are in need of advice. Ooooh, I may hit you up if questions arise. I'm trying to mentally prepare DH for the cost, lol. I know for a fact it'll make the exterior look so much better because we have this awful vinyl cladding around the outside that will go away. But we have interior moldings like the below on every window and to replace all of that is going to be $$$. But I don't want it to go away.

He says the molding shouldn't have to be removed to replace/install the windows, but if you can take a picture of the jam in the corner he can tell you better (also a picture from the outside/general picture of window from the interior). Anyway, this is one of his favorite topics. He is happen to provide info

It looks different than the picture but I will file this away as a question to ask them. Tell him thanks!!

We're not even touching the big picture windows because they're so freaking expensive and we have 5 of them. I'm glad this next stimulus will help a bit with phase 2. It's...a lot. I want to weep every time DH and I talk about it.

I feel like that does not bode well for my monies.

We just had someone come in to do an estimate for replacing our windows which are in terrible condition in a 100-year-old house. Hold me. I am not kidding when I say this was part of the reason I sold my last house. It was 100 years old and most of the windows were original to the house. It was going to be $$$$$$ to fix or replace and they were in terrible shape. I didn't want to deal with it. We have a program in our city that allows people who buy in certain neighborhoods up to $10,000 forgivable loan and it is 100% forgivable if you own the house 5 years. The people who bought it went through that program for their mortgage to get the loan and have since gotten new windows and a few other things done. It brings me great joy because I bought that house when I was 27 and loved it so much and I am so glad they get to enjoy the upgraded version.

We replaced them with two giant double hungs.
