We didn't watch the Golden Globes last night but Twitter had me dying with the various takes and reactions to Sean Penn.

The agency we hired is interviewing two nanny candidates this week. I'm so excited.

My girl dog slept in for an hour today. I got worried because she is old AF but when she woke up and came downstairs she had tons of energy and acted like it was no big deal. I want her life.

I saw a reference to Sean Penn’s hair on twitter but forgot to look up a picture. That did not disappoint. He’s so weird.

Sean looks like he stayed too long in the tanning booth and now he's melting.

I have a hair appointment on Saturday. It will be my first hair cut since December 2018. I meant to go last year, but between my stylist moving to Richmond and the pandemic, it just never happened. The split ends demand attention, though. I can't wait.

The split ends demand attention, though. I can't wait. I am starting to turn gray. I went late last February to get highlights to hide the gray. Lol me. Now I am gray AND a terrible grow out. Maybe this summer I will venture back into the salon.

I have my first hair appointment in a year scheduled for 3/13 but I have to cancel because we decided that’s when we are visiting my grandma.

I am digging having long hair, so I'm hoping they don't have to take off too much. My hair is the longest it’s been in a decade and the ends are pretty healthy, but it has no shape at this point. And it’s thick, so it just looks messy all the time. I’m planning to get highlights and long layers when I finally schedule a hair appointment.

I don't remember which thread we were in talking about Oatly and oat milk. I made a honey oat milk latte this afternoon with a new-to-me brand called Dream oat beverage, and it's very tasty.

My layers are all grown out and it's a mess. I ended up cutting my own hair in late November. I had been debating it for a while but needed it shorter before my surgery. My hair is curly, so forgiving, but it actually turned out okay. It wasn't as hard as I thought either! But I also knew I wasn't going to see anyone other than my family and my doctors so I was okay with the risk involved.

I got a hair cut a couple weeks ago. It was so long, she probably cut 7-8 inches off and it hits just below my shoulders now. My head feels so much lighter. It is taking a little bit of relearning because my go-to quick buns or braid is not possible anymore.
For those getting cuts, enjoy it! It had been since before shutdown for me (minus a DIY trim), and it was glorious.

I have a pixie cut, which should be trimmed every 6-8 weeks. I have had two professional cuts since February of 2020. My pandemic hair journey has been rough.
(Lighthearted rough, though. It's just hair.)

I can't wait until I can get my hair done again. I'm just not sure when I'll feel comfortable going. Maybe once I'm fully vaccinated because I want to get color and highlights done too.
I also need to find a new stylist because mine ended up closing her business after they were closed the second time around.

I got mine cut and colored last month after a year. It was great for my mental health. There were other people in the salon but all socially distant and masked. Plus salons already had pretty strict cleaning protocols here and they just amped them up.

I have a hair appointment Friday afternoon. Covid fatigue is very very real for me at the moment. Our numbers dropped after the holiday surge and have remained consistent (though not as low as I would prefer) for two weeks. Most everyone around me has already resumed normal life. I would bet money on another spike for us, in 2-3 weeks, so it’s definitely a feeling of getting in what I can when I can.

You know that feeling you get in your fingers/neck/back where you just have to pop/crack your knuckles/neck/back and then that feeling goes away? I have that right now in my knee and the damn joint won't pop/crack. It's been days. I'm cranky.

I have had horrible tooth pain since the weekend and my dentist couldn't get me in until today but it got so much worse last night and I had to go to the ER because I was nauseous and had the chills from the pain.
I'm now on antibiotics for an abscess that formed and hope my gum swelling goes down by Thursday so they can properly numb me for a root canal. ðŸ˜
I spent most of today sleeping and DD2 was so sweet. I was in my bedroom with her and she went and got Kamala and Maya's Big Idea and tried reading it to me. She asked me which one was "Kala" and was telling me the story in her words on each page. When she went to get the book she told MH that I like that book so she was going to read it to me.

How do you guys feel about kids’ sports right now? H wants our kids to do soccer since they haven’t done it since the fall of 2019. I am very hesitant due to the pandemic. For reference this would be for 5-6 year olds in one league and 7-8 year olds in the other. I can already guarantee no masks on the kids while playing.

Our girls are in dance, but they are very conscientious about precautions. Everyone gets temp checked every week, they wear masks, and they are all in their own individual little boxes. H said no way to DD2 playing TBall this summer, though she's interested in it. He doesn't trust it. We're less sure about soccer, but it's in the fall and who knows what things will be like then. I'd be a bit hesitant now. Especially without masking. Soccer is an up close and personal sport, so no distancing either, for sure.

Before March of last year, my 6 yo was in weekly swimming lessons and she had made so much progress and it was so good for her gross motor. She hasn't been since the last week of February 2020 and I really want to put her back in but I'm just so nervous about making the commitment. I think I would be more comfortable with outside sports like soccer or softball than indoors and am strongly considering signing up my almost 3 yo for something in the Spring. I hate making these decisions.

We signed the 3 who are age eligible for baseball this spring/summer. I’m trying not to be uneasy about it, and hoping that at least H can get a vaccine by then and hopefully me too. The outdoor sports are making me more comfortable than the thought of basketball this past fall/winter.
