Quoted. for. truth. I did so great ALL day and then right before my kid got home, I scarfed down a leftover stroopwafel. My self control is so bad right now. I'm starting a more anti-inflammatory "diet" but slowly - but maybe I need to just go cold turkey. The amount of shamrock shakes and eating out I've been agreeing to on the weekends is undoing everything good I do the week prior and I then painstakingly spend all week trying to fix. I've been so bad. .... I forgot shamrock shakes were a thing. omg.

Got on the bike for the first time in a week due to toddler shenanigans and exhaustion. Did a 30 min ride with Cody and 10 min arms with Tunde.
Due to more toddler shenanigans I've been up since 4:30 so I had plenty of time this morning.

I’m here but haven’t been great on posting. I’m still hate completing my BBM. I think I’m on day 73 or something. Also kicking up the cardio more as I attempt to get back into running. And I’ve got a 59 day streak of yoga with Adrienne. Feeling good. The scale is totally not moving and I’m trying to ignore that.

The spin bike is taking some getting used to. My undercarriage is not impressed, even with padded shorts. I keep adjusting things, which eats into my workout.
Meh. It'll probably just take time.

It took a good 10 days for my undercarriage not to hurt. Even now it's still feeling a bit battered post ride, but doesn't hurt during.

I decided March was the month I should be anything but a completely lazy lump of a human. I turn 41 this month and since covid ruined my 40th bday, I am ready to kick 41 in the teeth. I have lost a good chunk of weight with diet alone but the jiggle is real so I am going to try to fix that.
I started with 30 minutes on the elliptical yesterday. Hoping for a 2 mile outside walk today if work allows. Otherwise I will do another 30-40 on the elliptical.

I’m on day 12 of my program and it feels endless, haha. So I’m impressed.

I did a peloton land and water scenic ride. So relaxing! I went with a higher resistance, and still burned a shit ton of cals. I did find myself trying to dodge people walking, though. lol.

lemondrop I like the scenic idea. I will have to go check out what I could do for treadmill. I know there are apps or free-run options somewhere. I did 25 minutes on the treadmill today. I didn’t do anything over the weekend because we went skiing. Skiing with the kids versus on my own is way different though, so today actually felt more tough. I need to get into a better routine again.

I get overwhelmed with the classes because I’m so out of shape so I do either the scenic rides or the just ride option and then either scroll on my phone or I propped my iPad up against the bike screen and watched a stand up comedy show. I love it because instead of sitting on the couch doing those things I’m on the bike. And I make the resistance a little higher so even though I’m not going fast I’m still working out.

I do the scenic rides, too. Last week I did one through Paris while listening to my audiobook.
I had to take a Peloton break because my cheap padded shorts were causing some... abrasion. On my undercarriage. 😩 So I’m also in the market for recommendations for something better.

When I used to go to the gym in the before times, I’d do a resistance routine while watching Who Do You Think You Are on TLC lol. 10 seasons, 45 minutes each episode - jackpot!

So, stupid peloton app question. How do you find more scenic rides? I see a few on the featured tab, but I can’t find the rest of them. I thought there were like 200+ of them?

Look into triathlon specific bike shorts (2XU, Pearl Izumi, Soas). Then one thousand percent you need to be commando underneath.

What is the macro tracking app that most people use? Is it called My Fitness Pal? (It is not something that I think would be healthy for me because I’m prone to some OCD about food, so I’ve always skimmed past the discussions, but I want to suggest it to MH. I think it might be beneficial for him.)

I’d really prefer that, but MH is the one who rides it almost every day, and he likes the traditional seat. But maybe I’d ride it almost every day too if It didn’t hurt my crotch so bad 🤨

If you pay for premium you can set down to the gram, make different days have different allotments, set certain meals to meet certain amounts of macros, etc. Just so you have an idea of the distinction. You can very easily do macros on the free version. I do love the paid version when I'm training for long distance racing. Being able to set higher calorie days when I had 3+ hour long runs was worth it for me. But I'm a weirdo.

But also because my upper thigh skin was constantly raw. I got back on the bike today and the exercise felt good again, but my skin is immediately fucked. So annoying 😡 I think my next step might be to talk to my dermatologist. I’ve tried different clothing and aaaaall the moisturizers.

Ugh. BBM was another 55 burpees in 10 minutes cardio. But my yoga after was lovely. And being light out later allowed me to walk the dogs even though I worked way too late.

MH uses it for cycling hut i also use it when wearing skirts or dresses for thigh runs it's amazing. We use assos brand but not if that's easily available stateside. But most creams should work well.

This stuff looks like it’s more cycling specific, thanks

I did another 30 min scenic ride today, but this time I did it on YouTube. They have some surprisingly nice long rides. But the one I was on had a lot of hills, and every once in a while, the simulation would have to pull over so cars could pass lol. I also witnessed a close almost accident (uphill, windy road and a truck was trying to pass a car illegally) and ran over something dead in the street that was blurred out.
My eating hasn’t need horrible but I had some meatballs for dinner that I immediately regretted.

I did a 20 minute Robin ride on Peloton and 20 minutes of core.
I weighed myself yesterday and I gained about half a pound. So that blows. Hopefully I will be back trending downward next week.
