overboard, welcome to the less scary version of the GD motivation thread 😂! Hi, I also need a kick in the ass about eating. Are you using an app for tracking? I've been bouncing between Carb Manager and MyFitnessPal. I use my fitness pal. I track a meal or two and then forget. Now that I’m thinking/talking about this, I wonder if I should talk to my doctor about my adhd meds. Im not focusing so well lately.

I don't know if this helps, but i've found that if I put all of in my meals in the morning, I'm more apt to follow my diet to the ounce. I put everything in as I'm making breakfast, and then I'm like, ok, at lunch I'm having 4oz of chicken, 1.5 cups of romaine, blah blah. My trip up is when my gremlin toddler gets home and then I start shoving crackers into my face.

cnf I’m sorry the weather isn’t cooperating today. I know how good it feels to just get out and away for a bit. My March has been not great either. I’m trying to go out with a bang today and tomorrow by actually getting some runs done.

Otherwise I'll end up off at the end of the day too which will drive me crazy.

I found the G Hughes thai chili sauce! It's a bit spicier than I'm used to (I like more of a sweet chili) but definitely tasty and not fake sugar tasting at all! Highly recommend!

I like spicy so I will have to check it out. I'll show my midwestern and say that I would love to make sweet chili crockpot meatballs and that would work perfectly.

I use the sauce with turkey sliders on butter lettuce (just ground turkey, Penzey's Revolution, and caramelized red onion). I use a big ice cream scoop and then flatten them with a spatula, and voila. So basically just flat meatballs. LOL. And I'm making buffalo chicken meatballs tonight if it makes you feel any better 😂 www.wholesomeyum.com/buffalo-chicken-meatballs/

I got a last minute appointment with my doctor to change my adhd med. I weighed myself and updated my fitness pal, and I tracked all of my food today. No more calories available for a morgorita but I did meet my protein goal. Thanks for the push lemondrop!

How’s everyone doing?
I had a pretty unmotivated week. Going to try to reset this weekend and get back in my workout groove.
I also cleaned out my fridge to make the healthy snacks more visible and accessible. After I stuff myself with Cadbury Creme Eggs. 😬

A ton of steps but only 2 runs. Now the pollen is doing me in so energy is in short supply. I'll be back at soon though!

I had two productive days this week with runs. The weather got warm andbI spent a lot of time outside with the kids and dog.
The fridge cleaning is definitely on my list to do soon. Every since they had that fridge judging thing around the election I’ve been self-critical of my fridge whenever things get messy.

I'm doing ok. March stunk for me so I'm trying to do things better this month. I had a few good days with food, then yesterday was my birthday so I indulged but still worked out.
Today I did an easy 2 miles and will do some naptime yoga. I'm back to good eating today too. Not planning to have any leftover cake, the kids can finish it off.
I'm tired of the baby weight not budging. I haven't lost a single ounce since I was 2 weeks postpartum and it's driving me crazy.

Back around the election, NYT or Wash Post had a online quiz on whether people could guess Trump or Biden voter based on the contents of their fridge. It was not as easy as you’d think. Also it made me realized people have really different fridge habits.

I’ve made some progress. I’ve tracked all food for a week and lost five pounds. I need to add some more movement during the day. I’m going to start scheduling it in, even if it’s only 30 minutes. I twisted my ankle stretching out on the sofa this weekend, so I’m going to stick with walking for now. 🤣

The weather was amazing yesterday. I haven’t run outside in ages, so I decided to do a couple miles, and MH told me to just run 5K because he had the day before. So I did a very slow but steady 5K, and then took two long walks in the afternoon, too, so it was a much more active day than I had expected. Felt great. I am so excited for spring weather.
Today my exercise will be cleaning my house!

Oh no, overboard 😂 Scheduling helps me so much, even if it’s just the accountability aspect of MH asking, “I thought you were going to work out this morning?” (I think it has helped him, too.)

Ya know when you're lifting stuff and everyone is like, "don't lift with your back, lift with your legs!" I thought it constantly as I was lifting 24 bags of mulch yesterday with my lower back. OMG. Whyyyyyyy?!!!? I KNOW BETTER THAN THAT! On the positive, my front yard looks fantastic. On the negative, biking today is going to be a challenge.

Yikes lemondrop. Hope you feel better soon. I was so wishing we had the money to get someone to mulch this year. I’m doing it in phases because it’s so much work.

It's been soo lovely outside the past 2 days. I really wish I were allowed to run. It's perfect weather for it and I miss a gentle run. I was able to get a good walk, in, though, so not a total loss.

Guys. Ditch the mulch and spring for landscaping stones. One and done. It's more money upfront but you never have to redo it ever again, so it save time and effort and money in the long run.

We have landscaping rocks - just be warned that they work their way into the soil. You need to either dig them out or recover.
I'm thinking about mulching my front flower bed. Our extension office has a publication about it - it is supposed to help keep flowers and plants moist. It's already high 90s here, and last summer was brutal. I need to help those little plants out or just cover it in vincas.

I've been upping my mileage and finishing a 10k training plan. I'm a slow runner, so I won't get the full 10k in 60 minutes. I'll top out at just over 5 miles. Still - go me! I have liked the plan, but I need SO MUCH recovery time. I've had to move down the frequency. I will blame the heat, but it's likely age and fitness level. 🤷♀️

I didn’t do so well last week with the kids on spring break so I’m starting anew this week. So far I’ve completed runs the last three days and I’ve recommitted to watch what I eat.

I’m trying to switch over to native plants, but it takes time and gets expensive. I am using the eco friendly coconut fiber mulch. At least, I hope it’s eco friendly. I’m a bad consumer and fell for the packaging.

I had an errand to run today while DS was at preschool. I was planning for a rest day today, but since it was only a little over a mile away and the weather is nice again, I decided to walk there and back. It was a good way to squeeze in a little movement.

We did order another yard this year though since they were a bit sparse in some spots. We just landscaped last year, so hopefully that's it for a good long while. I've never considered the extreme heat and mulch holding in mositure. I live in the north east so our days of pushing 100 or over are like only a handful of times per summer. We're usually in the 80's most of the summer, which is like two months, lol.
