Good morning.

The kids stayed in bed til almost 8, which meant I got to sleep late! Bless them. Even the dog took pity on me and stayed quiet.

B has a basketball game today and my parents are taking us to lunch afterwards. B's teacher reached out this week about coming to his game so that will be a fun surprise for him. We've only met over Zoom, haha; I told her I'd look for her, hope I recognize her in person!

Good morning! MH is at work. It's snowing but nothing crazy. Might see my sister and her girls. A's hair is a hot mess so may see if he will let me trim it up...

Well, the shot didn't help Evies tummy, although part of me wonders if it is partially anxiety/knowing the medicine makes her feel crappy.

I plan on getting rid of most of the cookies today, grabbing some groceries, but otherwise staying inside and warm.

Morning. I’m at work and it’s lightly snowing. We are in a deep freeze this morning so I’m going to just stay inside as much as possible. I developed a milk blister on one of my nips and decided to pop it last night with a needle. So now my nip is very sore and pumping is not great. I’m hoping for no more pain tomorrow.

Morning! For the first time in ten years or so it was possible to be ice skate on the canals! Starting tomorrow temperatures will start rising again, so the whole nation was in a skating frenzy today. It was not as busy as when I was younger, but there were more people out than I’ve seen in a long time. It was nice to see, it felt somewhat normal. The kids had a blast.

We picked up dinner for my parents as a little thank you for all the things they’ve done to help out lately. We got tapas for ourselves too, initially planned for Valentine’s, but I’m not sure we can restrain ourselves tonight .

Any of you girls any ‘fun’ plans for tomorrow?

Unloading was cancelled today due to the weather. The roads are ice and just not safe. It's been postponed until Wednesday. I'm now wondering if this means I have off until Wednesday....🤔😝

We made some valentines cupcakes this morning and have to decorate them later.
I’m going to paint some of the basement today while mh does some crafts with the kids and the we’re ordering Chinese.
What’s your go- to?
It’s a new place for us, so I already placed the order so we’re getting dumplings, general tso chicken, honey walnut shrimp, eggplant in garlic sauce, fried rice, and scallion pancakes ( I was so excited to see it on the menu)

guster our Chinese is indo-Chinese, so Indonesian cuisine mixed with Chinese, so our go to’s are probably things you’ve never heard of! Tjap-tjoi, foe-yong-hai, bami, saté with peanut sauce. Your order sounds delicious!

‘Skating’ pics; definitely more people than I would feel comfortable with these days, but for the kids this might be a ‘once in a childhood’ thing. We kept our distance from other people .

guster funny, I was thinking Chinese for tomorrow. Our go-to’s are beef + broccoli or Mongolian beef, Kung pao chicken, fried rice, dumplings, spring or egg rolls. DH will occasionally do sesame or orange chicken.

guster Now I want Chinese food. I like fried rice, Kung pao, general tso’s, sesame chicken. A place here does a rice noodle as a fried rice-like dish that I have come to love.
Random, but Mh was talking to his eldest cousin recently and he told him we have to go to St. Louis since we’ll be closer driving distance because they have the best Chinese food in the country. I’m skeptical, but if we ever make the drive, I’ll definitely try it.

mwhip Sorry E isn’t feeling better today. Is there any anti-nausea meds she can take to help? I’m blanking on the name of the one I had to take to help my morning sickness, but something like that?

We’re just eating breakfast here since we all slept in. No plans here. I placed a grocery order for pickup this evening. I’ll probably clean the bathrooms and do some organizing in the boys’ closets.

Morning ladies. My work computer did an update making it hit or miss to get on...well...most websites. Including ones I need for work. So I haven't been around as much. Plus the last week was busy as usual at work.

We have had an unexpected snow dump and it's still coming down. This is rare for us so I love it. I asked the kids how much they thought we'd get and Cass said "feet of snow." I kind of thought "dream on kid." Then last night the news said we'd get 2-12 inches. I told her and she replied, "yeah I know, I told you that." Yes, yes you did. Looks like at least a foot of new snow added to what we already had.

So today will be more snow play and decorating Valentine cookies. Safeway had kits of plain heart sugar cookies and decorating kits made up in their bakery so I went the easy route.

lahdeedah she takes zofran as needed, but her rheumatologist doesn't want her taking it daily, regularly, which is what we had been doing and when the GI doc came up.

Oh man. I didn’t realize her stomach was bothering her on daily basis. I thought it was just a day or so after the meds. Poor girl.

I know the zofran can cause constipation with regular use, too.

Do you all get Yh’s gifts for Valentines? I think I usually get Mh some of his favorite candies from Fresh Market candy bar. I was trying to think about it the other day I couldn’t remember. The candy came to mind yesterday. We don’t usually make it a big deal here, so just a small something and dinner without the kids.

Alex buys me potted tulips, my favorites. I get him candy. This year I also got him cuff links with his initials on them for his brother's wedding. We do dinner the week after usually to avoid crowds.

Yesterday I told MH I wanted to tell him his Valentine's surprise. He had a look of fear in his eyes and then I told him I got him nothing. His expression was that of sweet relief and we high-fived. I recanted though and told him if Costco has chocolate covered strawberries he's obligated to get me some.

I get mh a reese's cups heart. Keeping it simple.
I got Cadence a heart shaped box of gummy hearts and a stuffed dog.
I also got them both cards.
