I’m always on board for more cooking at home when possible but I love take out leftovers! Everything tastes better when I don’t have to cook it, lol. What’s wrong with leftover take out? Nothing is wrong with it and sometimes I will (we got takeout tonight and I saved half for tomorrow since I'm not starting tracking again until Monday), but usually it's hard to make it fit my macros two days in a row. It's fine every so often since we typically only order out once a week or a few times a month, but with the frequency we've been eating out the past two weeks I'd be eating leftover takeout and then fresh takeout in the same day, multiple days in a row, which is not ideal for me. H won't eat leftovers at all and we tend to have very different tastes with takeout, so he's no help. Yeah take out twice in a day might not feel great. Re the macros though - if you eat more than you wanted so you don’t have to enter it twice or have to deal with leftovers, isn’t it still the same calories in the end? I’m not following.

With regard to the weekly intake I see what you're saying. But if I "overeat" by eating most of the dish tonight (let's say 3/4 or 7/8 of it) I would discard the small remainder instead of splitting it and eating 1/2 tonight and 1/2 tomorrow. So I would end up eating more of the high caloric meal total over the week when I split it into two meals. And I replace what would have been a meal of about half those calories tomorrow for lunch by eating the leftovers, so it feels like it adds up significantly (both on paper and with my body).

Ran a family 5k in the cold this morning (43! There was nearly frost on things!) Pretty lazy day other than that, but we got the best sandwiches from this new pop up for dinner! Chicken katsu caprese on Dutch Crunch rolls. So good!

2020 was my year in many ways. Sometimes during everything it was easy to get lost in the bad portion of it all. First I stopped clearing my. Plate. I’m not hungry. I just had to tell myself it was ok to not jorkzy way of looking at it. I relIe is kinda what he have been doing. I’m focusing on what I can add in not so much take away. I just want to ride 10 minutes a day. Walk the dog 2x a day for 20 minutes. I’ve started in November because food was becoming my nemesis again These are all awesome steps 🍍 🍊 Fineapple 🍍 🍊! The whole “clean plate” mentality is HARD to shake. I’m always saying - unconditional permission to eat means you eat when you’re hungry, or even if you’re not but feel like a little something, but ALSO it’s permission to say No thanks or I’m full, regardless of what’s still on your plate. Yes. It’s so hard. Poverty really shaped my mind. Also parent stalking about starving kids in Africa. I will say MH is very very good at telling me don’t bring home my leftovers because I’m not going to eat it. 😂

I’m always saying - unconditional permission to eat means you eat when you’re hungry, or even if you’re not but feel like a little something, but ALSO it’s permission to say No thanks or I’m full, regardless of what’s still on your plate. Yes. It’s so hard. Poverty really shaped my mind. Also parent stalking about starving kids in Africa. I will say MH is very very good at telling me don’t bring home my leftovers because I’m not going to eat it. 😂 I struggle with this a lot too, I feel like if we are splurging on a restaurant (or 2020 version, on curbside takeout) I feel obligated to “justify” the purchase by eating it all even if I may not want/need to. My H is also the same in trying to talk me out of it and remind me how infrequently we eat it out doesn’t matter, but also shouldn’t in general. Working on it! I’m trying to at least look at it now in supporting the restaurant industry though I know I should probably focus more on myself and my own feelings about it!

I went on a cruise with DH in February (feels like one million years ago) and the pictures from that trip were a real wake up call, I barely recognized myself. So I cleaned up my diet, started experimenting with intermittent fasting, and used my peloton more regularly. Now I’m starting 2021 40 pounds lighter than I was this time last year and I need to keep the momentum going. I still have more weight to lose (SW 230, CW 190, GW 160) so this year needs to be about consistency.

Reading all you ladies and your motivation through the weekend I am so jealous about. Our little getaway is over tomorrow. And I am ready to meal plan and not drink. I decided not to run two days in a row and feel gross and disgusting now. But I do believe the break is good.

I wonder if we did the same 10 minute core with Olivia today. It was very, very intense. I FINALLY got to try out the new spin shoes I got for Christmas today (I was waiting on delta cleats), I did a recent 45 minute pop ride of Cody's and it was hard! I didn't PR but I was within striking distance of it so I will take that. My chest is sore from the chest and back strength I did with Rebecca yesterday, not a muscle group I usually pay attention to! Looks like it was! It was brutal so I bookmarked it to do again, ha! What shoes did you get?! These ones, I don't know enough about cycling to know if the brand is any good, but I like that the uppers are knit so they aren't so stiff or so hot. I can’t remember, do you have the Peloton tread? If so, it’s under the “just run” option. It will record as a run but there’s no instructor (just a blank screen) and you can walk it or do whatever you want. I found this area the other day which is why I now have a 6 second run on my record that I don’t know how to delete. 😂 If you have an Apple device, you can go to your profile on the Peloton app and then to your list of workouts. There should be three dots in the upper right corner of each recorded workout - just touch those and it will give the option to delete. There’s a way to delete from the tread too but it’s been a minute since I’ve done it. I think you might be able to just swipe and delete the workout from your profile? But I can’t remember for sure.

Mad props to all of you trying to work out with young kids in the way! And dogs, lol. I remember how extremely hard that was and I just have one kid! It does get much easier once they are old enough to be happy with an iPad for an hour! I know my parenting skills there are awesome and all but whatever works...

Good morning! I decided to try the Olivia ab workout some of you were talking about and omg!! So tough. I had to modify and take breaks. Maybe someday I’ll be able to do a full ab workout without stopping. Here was my full workout this morning:
30min top 50 ride with Kendall (I loved this playlist!) 10min cool down ride with Kendall 5min stretch with Kendall 10min ab workout with Olivia AKA death by abs 😝

I was not feeling like working out today, but I did! I hate riding while DH is home because he’s really fit; top 5% of every ride, and it makes me feel self-conscious. But, I still did it!

FWIW, I hide the leaderboard on every single ride or run I do. I find it makes me anxious and working out is supposed to be about releasing anxiety, not creating it! Have you tried any of the Power Zone rides? DH swears by them because you’re only competing against yourself and seeing the progress.

I did Matty’s 45 minute 90s run from before Christmas. It was really fun. At one point, he had you run at an incline equal to how many times you saw Titanic in the theater 😂. I got 4.5 miles, so that should be it for today.

Hi loki & typo31chriskoo congrats on your weight loss & amazing work in 2020! What is it about vacation photos that trigger us to restart our workout regimen. The same thing prompted me to get my butt back in gear after an all inclusive trip in 2018. It seems like a common theme reading through fitness blogs, etc. CurlieWhirlie love the new cycling shoes! willow I bat signaled sunshinedaisies awhile back but didn’t hear anything from hear after she gave me a code to use for my Peloton.

sudsy I have a brand new in the box Fitbit Alta if you want it. Never been used. My H got it as a gift at some work event a year ago. ETA: I see you already got one offered. Let me know if you need a second lol. Or if anyone else here wants it.
