I did my first Saturday 60 with Jess. Not live- but that’s my goal for next Saturday. Felt good to burn off the lobster risotto i had last night. We had a great date night and Dh even brought up getting the peloton tread when it comes out!
Dh made breakfast so I had bacon, eggs and half a bagel. Lunch will probably just be a yogurt or shake, then pizza and breadsticks for dinner.

Anyone with a home gym want to share pics or links for how you store equipment? I need something to put my stuff on. I have shoes, and water bottle, 15 lbs dumb bells, 15 lbs slam ball, 25 lbs slam ball, jump rope, slider discs, and resistance bands. Does sprawled all over the floor not count? H snipped at me the other day for the weights being all over the damn place. Oops. I got a text with a picture of like 3 things out of place a couple weeks ago. It’s a very strict plane in our place apparently.

I am working this today and tomorrow. I skipped my treadmill run this morning as I was just plain tired. Hopeful to get some core and a full body lift today after work.

So Valentine's day, my birthday, mother's day, and our anniversary are all a dino of gifting holidays and usually by our anniversary H is pretty burnt out of gifts for me. So I told him all I want this year for every gift giving holiday is a peloton bike. And he agreed! He wants to wait until we get our tax refund back since and can look at our finances because we need to set aside a decent down payment for the camper we're getting in March. But after that he's cool with me pulling the trigger on one. Woohoo! So by spring I'll be really riding with you guys. This is so exciting!!

9 mile run complete! It rained for about three miles in the middle but just enough to make me feel like a badass, not so much that I was miserable. Now finished with week 10 of 18 of my half training.
10 minute warm up with Robin 20 minute Wicked run with Jess King 30 minute Tiesto run with Becs 45 minute Latin run with Jess Sims 5 minute post-run stretch with Robin
The Wicked run was my favorite since that’s a top 5 musical for me, but I really enjoyed the other two as well. Also someone rolled down his truck window to ask if I was single at mile 8.5, which cracked me up because I looked like a damp, bedraggled, exhausted mess by then. It did give me a little confidence boost for that final push haha.
It’s my dad’s birthday today so we’re going over later for Hawaiian bbq and chocolate cake. I’m pretty excited.

Thanks for all the ❤️ & tags everyone! willow sorry to hear your furnace abruptly stopped in the middle of the winter no less! And with little ones, man I would have lost it. Glad you have a warm spot and family to help! RunsforWineandCarbs glad you surgery went well, thanks for checking in. You’ve been on my mind. Take it easy and try to lean into the recovery period with all the guilty pleasures. cnf yay for a Peloton! Another rider to our crew! Just FYI-we chose to do the interest free financing through Affirm—it’s offered as payment option on Peloton during check out. Nice pay over time option that might get bike here sooner for you. notexactly congrats on your weight loss! 👏

Whew, I am beat! I really have enjoyed doing longer workouts on the weekends because I have the time and hey, nothing else to do! Today was:
10 minute low impact ride 30 minute PZ endurance ride 5 minute cooldown ride 10 minute arms toning 20 minute full body strength 20 minute slow flow yoga
Mixed bag of instructors but all great and got that good, cleansing sweat. Plus now that I'm done showering it's noon so I made it through the whole morning and haven't cleaned anything or had to hear DS2 talk about Minecraft!

I mentioned financing to H and he poo pooed on it, which is fine with me. It wouldn't change our timeline since even bringing another monthly expense on we'd have to work into the budget. It's easier to just pay for it and be done with it. Have I mentioned that we have a line item spreadsheet for our budget? Because we do because H and I both are organization people. That said, it's mostly just a layout of our expenditures. We don't really use it to manage day to day spending.

I imagine this being jorkzy 's words of wisdom for us all. My kids only know of exercise to be stronger or faster. They are too young to know it is so often tied to weight. DD2 did yoga with me for quite a while today and kept saying how strong she was. We make a point not to openly associate working out and weight as a thing that goes hand in hand. So far they both love to exercise; running, bike riding, yoga, strength work. They love doing it all. I hope they always love it. Both girls are signed up for soccer this summer. Fingers crossed it doesn't get cancelled this year.

Good afternoon!
This morning I did a 45 minute bike bootcamp with Robin which was awesome, and 10 more min of core with Andy.
B - Skinnytaste bagel w/ bacon and cheese L - buffalo chicken salad D - we are going out for the first time in months. I am going to order what I want but try and be reasonable and eat half. I'll probably get some kind of seafood dish. There will definitely be a drink or two involved. I have skipped out on cocktails all month just to avoid the sugar but I could be swayed by that if this place has a fun drink menu. Either that or wine.

I don’t go here but I have a Peleton question and know many of you have one. I’m ok with the cost of the bike but $39 a month for membership is high. There’s the individual at $12.99 a month. Do you lose a lot with that? It will be me and Dh using it so it would be $25 per month to do two individuals. I just want to make sure we could access everything.
Also do you feel this was a good investment? I’m a bit hesitant but it’s also getting cold out so my daily power walk is lacking. We have a cheapie bike in the basement but I hate going down there and I need the group motivation to continue.

So glad your surgery went well RunsforWineandCarbs I hope recovery goes smoothly! Ugh sorry about the horrid morning willow. I’m glad you were able to go to your parent’s house cnf congratulations on the peloton! We just got a decent chunk of cash with the stimulus check and a PTO payout from the job I left- we considered getting a peloton but decided to pay off some of DH’s student loans instead- boring!

wedding, I don’t have a Peloton bike, but I use the app with my cheaper (Sunny) spin bike. Have you tried the app yet? I think you can do a free trial for a couple of months. It might give you a sense if the Peloton is worth the investment.

It was 7 degrees out but sunny this morning so I went for a 45 minute run with RK. It’s been so gloomy out lately and it was actually really nice once I warmed up. I overdressed on top, but had wind burn on my legs despite 2 layers so I may need to get some wind pants ha.
B- half of a creme dunker from Kwik trip, coffee L- ginger chicken and broccoli, rice D- chicken pot pie, salad

She loves running, biking, swimming, and showing off yoga moves like headstands and handstands that I have yet to master. She loves to tell people how speedy, strong, and skilled she is.

wedding the $39 monthly subscription is for the household. You can add extra users once you have the bike/tread. We pay one monthly fee and have 3 users: me, DH and my oldest DD. Indeed it’s a bit pricey but you get a lot of content besides cycling classes with subscription (running/walk, strength, yoga, meditation, etc.). Others here have a different brand spin bike or tread and use Peloton app only for classes. If you have the Peloton brand bike, you would want the full subscription to access all features.

I have been on the struggle bus today. I could not motivate to run in the cold, but I got on the bike for an hour long stack of rides. It felt good.

wedding I always thought if you got the actual peloton bike, you need to do the bigger membership, like it’s a condition of buying it? Might be making that up.

We have a cheapie bike in the basement but I hate going down there and I need the group motivation to continue. The $12.99 a month membership is the digital app (iOS and Android). If you buy an actual Peloton bike, you must pay the $39 a month to activate it. You can then have up to, I think, eight individual accounts associated with that bike, and it will include full access to the digital app. So you can log in and spin on the bike, and then log in and do yoga on your AppleTV or your FireStick, etc. And you and YH would have your own logins for the bike and the app, but they're both included under that one monthly membership fee.

I just got a sunny bike for $350 off amazon and it arrived in two days. I pay $12 for the app and MH and I both have accounts under the one account, so $12 for the 2 of us.

I got new shoes today! We took the trip to the nearest city and went to a local running store. I learned so much during the fitting. It turns out I have high arches and need a stability shoe. I now have a pair of New Balance 860s with high arch inserts. As soon as we got home, I hopped on the treadmill because I was so excited to try them out.
Before the new shoes this morning 30 minute 90s walk with RK 10 minute arms toning with Ally Love
After the new shoes 20 minute 90s run with Matty
