I'm currently living the couch life and recovering from surgery. It went great but I am still very sore and walk like I'm an 80 year old.
Waking up after the surgery as I am being wheeled into recovery I asked the nurse if they pelotoned cause I was dreaming about doing peloton classes. Lol.
I am also dreaming of running and then remembering I can't....this is gonna be a long 6 weeks, 😅

Happy Saturday!
DH took DD to the park so I’m in the house alone! Glorious. I did Jess’s Flash 15 from yesterday (so good! So crazy....weighted burpees?!), Matty’s Wicked strength (boring—I ended up bailing), and an arms toning with Hannah F that was stupid hard. I’m feeling good so I’ll stop it there.
I’m closing in on 100 strength classes so I may try to do a live one next week.

Thanks all. New heater won’t be in until Monday so myself and the kids are at my parents now because they live super close. My parents are delighted with this surprise weekend sleepover lol (not sarcasm).

I’m at week 3 of no sugar drinks and being cognizant of what I’m eating. I haven’t kept track of calories very well, but I’m making a pretty decent effort of focusing on what I’m eating. I’ve made zero progress, but I’m still trying. The other day I hit 10000 steps for the day. I’m feeling better with regards to joint pain and stiffness, as I’m at about a month or a month and a half on Lyrica. I can tell it’s increasing my appetite though. I emailed my GP about the weight gain, and she wants to do a telemedicine appt to discuss my other meds.

Hello! 3 mile cold outdoor run done. It wasn’t the best, but now I feel great. Probably just a five minute core later and that’s it for the day. RunsforWineandCarbs I’m glad your surgery went well! I’m wishing you a speedy recovery. willow I’m sorry to hear about your furnace and the subsequent rough morning. I hope you start feeling better soon.

After three weeks of home workouts, I’ve been treating myself to a lot of home workout equipment.
Anytime I can find weights at Target, I’ve been getting some and I added some mini loop bands made of fabric so they don’t roll.
I just got a Reebok bench/deck like OTF has and I’m excited.

willow sorry to hear about the furnace. Ours died in November. We were lucky that it was in the 40s for outside temp so we were able to have a few colder days in the house while we waited for them to fix it. But goodbye 6k! 😢 But the new furnace has been nice and our heating bill has been much lower. Last year I bought this huge Ugg comforter for our bed but now that we have a properly running furnace we don’t need it!

Leg day done yesterday. 750 rep cardio challenge done this morning. My body is crying for a rest day. Working the rest of the weekend then I have my second COVID vaccine on Monday morning, so that sounds like a good time to rest.

Week 3 of tighter together is done! Just one more to go. I’m loving the challenge and am glad I went for it. Today was a full body workout and then I did a lot of stretching.
It’s a beautiful day, but only 20 degrees outside so I think we are stuck inside all day. I’m so stir crazy lately. I miss being able to do things.

I’ve only done the 30 minute versions but as I was going to bed, I was thinking to myself how good I feel. The 30 minutes don’t kill me and I’m not “can’t use the toilet” sore. And rather than feel like it’s not doing anything, it’s been showing me that I can do daily workouts at a less intense level and feel really good about it.

I’m officially a member of the Century bike club!! Completed my 💯 ride with Robin’s Year of Yes live ride this afternoon. No shoutout but got a PR. It doesn’t feel like that long ago I was reading here and decided to go ahead and purchase my Peloton. The whole experience has been awesome! I love this!! Congrats!

4 mile quick walk this am w my neighborhood bestie. 340 calories burned. (271 active- I need to figure out what the difference is.) probably not best breakfast- sprouted bread w Boursin cheese with 2 egg whites and 1 egg yolk. Then I had a cookie. :/ Hopefully that will take me through lunch. Otherwise I vow to make a wise choice bc.... Dinner is beef fajitas with queso and guac and dh makes the best skinny margaritas. Gotta live!

It was my 50th bootcamp, I got a shout out, a new PR, and a lot of high fives. Excellent morning so far!!

I got my three 20 minute elliptical sessions in this week. My hip seems to be tolerating it fine so I'll keep going on that next week. Eventually I want to add a fourth day or go up to 30 minutes on them.

Well I regret not doing classes with Adrian sooner. 2 short classes of his this week and I loved them both. I love the minimal, but solid when it's there, hype. I think my H would like him also so I'm happy to have found more options for us to do together (most of the coaches are too much for him, which I understand and tend to agree with).
Planning for arms & core tonight. Tomorrow is a long run so I want to keep it mellow.

So Valentine's day, my birthday, mother's day, and our anniversary are all a domino of gifting holidays and usually by our anniversary H is pretty burnt out of gifts for me. So I told him all I want this year for every gift giving holiday is a peloton bike. And he agreed! He wants to wait until we get our tax refund back since and can look at our finances because we need to set aside a decent down payment for the camper we're getting in March. But after that he's cool with me pulling the trigger on one. Woohoo! So by spring I'll be really riding with you guys.
