My husband thinks he's hilarious. Getting my car inspection today. I tell them the registration is in the glove box. The guy comes in and asks me to go get it for him. I find a hot pink dildo in there. OMG. Hahaha! Poor guy. I'm half mortified but can't stop laughing. Now....how to pay back husband? Omg. That's hilarious!

Woohoo! Just sold a bunch of diapers locally for $100! Definitely a big discount for the lot, but hey, a quick $100 sale to a local mom means less work for me!

I started my new job on Monday and I'm loving it. It finally hit me what made it so much better here besides being able to use my degree and doing real work. These people are happy and actually acknowledge each other. It doesn't hurt that they have a mini mart, a cafeteria with catered food, a gym, salon (?), and flexible hours while being actually salaried (instead of semi-salaried).
But seriously. Happy people make a place so much better.

Crappy day, last night our new dog, Talia, attacked our other female, Kara. Bit her on the neck and made her bleed, and scared the bejesus out of all of us. It's the second aggressive incident in a week toward Kara (no injuries the first time) so we had to make the hard decision to return her to the rescue this morning. I feel absolutely gutted, she is the sweetest dog and great with people and children and smaller dogs, but got really aggressive toward Kara. They are a no-kill shelter, so they will find her a new home, probably where she is the only dog. We only had her less than 3 weeks, but I feel like I am in mourning, J and I both cried when we took her back.

So sorry Dramaphile . We had to return a dog, too. I was miserable for a while, crying anytime I thought about him. It's hard, but it sounds like you made a good decision for your family. I hope Kara is ok!

I have had the song Despacito stuck in my head for days, so rather than listen to other things I keep listening to it over and over (among other things -- I'm not totally nuts). The remixed one with Bieber.
The line "got me feeling some kind of way" makes me laugh every time, because it's a phrase I associate with Parenting.

I'm so sorry, Dramaphile. It's so hard when you've already gotten attached. I hope she finds a new home soon and I hope Kara's ok.

Someone here recommended Sweet Baby Jesus chocolate peanut butter porter. I got a six pack tonight, and it's freaking awesome. So thanks.

My DH seems to think we need to send flowers to every funeral or hospitalized person he knows of. $100 for flowers every other week just isn't in the budget. I'm sure he isn't comprehending the expense, even though I always tell him what they cost, and I'm just getting basic small arrangements. Last time was like $50 for just balloons! Anyone have suggestions for where to order flowers to be delivered to a different state? What about sending a card and amazon gift card for $25? You can even get discounts on gift cards when you buy them in bulk. Flowers are nice, but to me they can get over powering very quickly and it's a lot to take home. A gift card is easily slipped into a wallet, bag, or used while at the hospital for books, movies, or ordering needed things that can be delivered to home. Definitely for hospitalizations I would send gift cards for food places around the hospital that family could use. Could you send a plant instead of an arrangement for funerals? They would last longer and be taken home by the family, though I'm not sure if they are cheaper.

What we appreciated even more was when someone sent a music box instead of a plant. It is pretty and doesn't need to be watered.

I've been feeling pretty self proud at what I've done with my business 3 days per week with two small kids, but then I just listened to the founder of A&A on a podcast. She had 3 small kids and didn't quit her day job until A&A was bringing in one million per year.
Well.

I ended up sending a small plant to the funeral. I would appreciate receiving a plant if it were me.

Considering I came back expecting a hopping board and there are like 2 posts from today, possibly? I know there was some sort of drama, I just have never seen this forum mentioned and I've never heard of it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I generally feel inspired and this one did too (did you know that only 2% of woman owned business every reach a million in sales?). But it was just an interesting juxtaposition to the exact things that I am proud of with my recent growth.

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk A bunch of the threads on TCF that referenced the move were deleted or moved and this place wasn't named HIH until a week or two ago. And there were several intermediate steps before achieving this place. So you wouldn't easily stumble from one place to the other.
