L took a couple steps today! She's so darn proud of herself. That's weird since she is only a couple months old.

So... potty training.
It would go so much better if someone didn't refuse to sit on the toilet.

Dd1 is starting swim lessons tonight. It's 4x a week for 2 weeks. I wish we didn't live 30 minutes away. I'm debating if I want to just send her with dh every night. But then I'll miss out on seeing her do the lesson. What do y'all think?

linewifekat send her with yh! Where we went, the other parent couldn't even go into the pool enclosure, so watching was difficult and not enjoyable. It's basically the same thing every single day anyway. Can you just go the first and last night?

tj that's a good idea. It would be a solid 2 hours of toddler free time. I might as well take advantage.

DH and M are doing this and C and I are tagging along once or twice.

M had her check-up today and weighs 18lb4oz already. She is 4 months old. She's almost 2lbs bigger than J was at this age. I don't understand how she's so big, she doesn't even eat that much!

Nugget weighed a few ounces more than that at a year... I'm always fascinated by the differences in how babies grow even though at that age they're all basically eating the same thing

O will be 3 in 2 weeks. Suddenly in the past few weeks everything is extra. So many tears and meltdowns. It's exhausting. I feel guilty because I'm enjoying the 11 month old so much more.

The Sageling has started the instant cry when things don't go her way. Three is... like 3 weeks away? I may take up day drinking.

The threenager stage makes me realize how envious I am of how easy joy comes to my one year old. I mean, diaper changes are THE END, but she doesn't hold onto it. And a good game of peekaboo or a sippy within reach means that all is right with the world.

Solidarity, it's currently like trying to diaper a small, loud crocodile with all the thrashing and rolling and screaming.

My threenager had an hour long meltdown with tears and sobbing because a show was taken off amazon prime. Something he's seen twice.

Do you know what's fun? My 15 minute drive from DC to home taking 30 minutes because of unavoidable construction. And do you know what's really fun? My one year old falling asleep 20 minutes into the drive and then waking up as a big ol' cranky pants when we get home. But do you know what is really, REALLY fun? Said one year old, at bedtime, having zero interest in sleep, or playing, or nursing, or being held, or being set down because she's too tired, yet awake, for everything. But biting is A-OK! OMG.SO.MUCH.FUN.

My big kid got his first phone. Today he texted me three times, called me twice, and bugged me all through supper to text all his friends parents and ask for their numbers.

I've been eyeing up the whistler haversacks for awhile now, but couldn't justify the cost because I truly don't need one. Well, one just popped up on a bst for 23 bucks! It's got a couple tiny snags but other than that looks great. I'm so excited, and glad I didn't order one at full price.
I now have 3 different diaper bags. But all different styles and sizes. I feel prepared for anything.

I'm going crazy with A and her accidents. She's on her 4th pair of underwear today and it's only 11:30. But if I suggest diapers, she's all offended and screams "no! I don't need diapers!" I feel like I broke her, but I'm not sure how. Or what to do. She starts preschool in September and there's no way she can go through so many changes in half a day.
