Ok, the shade thrown at Andrew in the favorite children episode was pretty excellent. Oh I loved it. What a fucking ass.

I just watched the Fagan episode last night, I've been doing like one a night and am enjoying it so far!
I think Philip's character is relatable, funny, sympathetic, and I just keep reminding myself that...no no.

I have one episode left to watch and it's the strongest season since S1, maybe as strong.
It's certainly bolstered my disdain for Charles and Camilla as I'm never going to care how many drinks he has or chickens or how "down-to-earth" Camilla seems or whatnot, I'm never, ever gonna be "yay, I'm so glad you got your happy ending, cheaters!"
When I think of these two, in their early 30s, gaslighting a barely out of her teens girl, it makes me sick. Diana was certainly no saint and went on to have affairs of her own, but she was basically set up for failure, what with Charles never being faithful to her, not even for a single day as emotional cheating is still cheating. I have to wonder, especially in watching the first part of the Australia episode, if Charles had paid even half as much attention to her, would their marriage have had a fighting chance?
Also, this "Romeo and Juliet" thing show Charles (and to some degree RL Charles) is trying to portray is pure rubbish. He may have been besotted with Camilla from the beginning but she was besotted with Andrew Parker-Bowles and wanted very much to marry him. So the whole "lovers torn apart" is a fallacy as Camilla never wanted Charles all those years ago. Had Andrew stayed faithful and/or Charles not been the Prince of Wales, I highly doubt she'd given Eeyore the time of day.

Hey all! I just binged this whole show and am 2 episodes in season 4.
The scene at the end of the visit with the family when Diana is shown walking down the street with photographer mob makes me so sad. The start and foreshadowing of what’s to come.
I had no idea Camille and Charles were still so involved at the start of his relationship with Diana.
The family forced him to marry Diana and she didn’t stand a chance.
I like this season better then season 3.

Late to the party but I’m finally getting around to watching. On ep 6. I feel like Margaret has been seriously under utilized this season, maybe that will change. The queen, Philip, and her children are insufferable, though so far the queen has come across to me as more sympathetic. Charles, ugh. Just ugh.
