Since weather is a problem for an outdoor party, we are skipping the party. He will have a mini thing with his cousins at my parents and his other cousins at my in laws. Instead we are taking him to a high ropes course. The minimum age for all of them around here is 7 so we have been waiting.
Here is his wishlist:
pokemon pajamas- charizard preferred Bakugans Bakugan case a Rare pokemon card (I blame dh for pointing out their existance on Amazon) a kaleidescope
He also needs a new Nike tracksuit and sneakers so I'll put those on there. I think for Christmas we may get him a snowboard but we will see.

wedding there are a few free games and some cheap ones on the digital store (go to Nintendo's website). But yes, the big titles are $50-60. If you're getting one get Mario Odyssey or Mario Kart.

Thanks for the heads up about the switch. inthekitty I am considering one this year. M was fine playing my first gen wii. It bit the dust. I think the boys had something to do with it- specifically M2. He would try to put disks in and out when we weren’t looking. Grrr.

I have not wanted to think about birthdays yet. I have no clue what we will do, but I guess I need to start thinking about it. I probably won’t do a party, but may have he and a couple friends do an experience- just not sure what yet.
I have a few ideas for Christmas/ birthday gifts. A lot have been mentioned already.

I want to get the kids scooter bikes for Sinterklaas, I do not want to spend a fortune on them since I do not expect them to be used that frequent, but they having been asking for one for over a year and I need a big ticket item.
Are there things should I be mindful of?

N is queen of planning her birthday as soon as the last one is over. She really wants to go to sky zone (trampoline park) but I’m not sure how i feel. I did look it up and they are open with limited capacity. I thought If we went right away when they open it might be okay. She has 3 or 4 friends she wants to invite, but December is still a ways out so we won’t make any decisions yet.
As far as gifts... i have no idea. She’s mentioned wanting her ears pierced so maybe that.

Evie has already given me a list, although I'm annoyed by it. She told me she wants a dry erase board with markers, a chalk board with chalk and Barbies. Cool, sounds easy enough.
BUT, we had an art easel that had dry erase on one side and chalk board on the other, with the big paper that came out the top, super cool. She never used it, so I sold it. NOW she actually wants something similar.

Grr. That is annoying mwhip. The girls pulled that crap on me recently when they saw some M&D toys in a store and fell in love. I donated a ton of their M&D stuff to a school last year because they never used it. I said they can save their money for it (I know they will forget it).

It was pretty slow until 1130-12, so maybe first time slot is the way to go if she really wants it.

Are there things should I be mindful of? My kids love scooters! We have a few different ones. Razor scooters are great because they fold up small so they don't take up my room or can be thrown in the bottom of the stroller. L also has a cute personalized 3 wheel one they like that my mom got.

Both my kids have the micro mini scooters and they are great even for Josie still. If they still want scooters when they are outgrowing these I would stay with that brand. This looks like the next size up and there are some that fold up. Micro Kickboard Maxi Deluxe Foldable LED, 3-Wheeled, Lean-to-Steer, Swiss-Designed Micro Scooter with Light-up Wheels, fold-to-Carry, Ages 5-12 www.amazon.com/dp/B089DPYJJ8/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_fab_KSJAFb18J58ZM

DS started with the micromini scooter guster posted but his feet became a bit too big so we moved up to a Razor a couple summers ago. We never really fold it but I love how easy the handle height can be adjusted. I’ve even done a few tricks on it.

Ugh I am stressed about this already. It will be too cold to do anything outside here by then, and we really only see 1 family inside. But he's been talking about/asking about a birthday party since B's (which was in August so he had a few families over for BBQ outside). I have no idea what to do. As to presents, literally every day he tells me more things he wants for his birthday. So far its: More pokecards Giant lego sets (he likes the ones that are like $200) books Nintendo Switch & games his own tablet More real tools transformers other stuff that I can't remember, I should probably start listening better Obviously he won't get all of those things. And MH has been adamantly opposed to a switch for a while now, but I think I am going to convince him we should get it since I feel we'll probably be home a lot this winter. I finally caved on technology in June and got Dude a Switch. So far he just does Minecraft. I figured it’s more engaging than sitting around watching TV.

Not sure what we’re doing for a (very small) party. Dude is requesting Spongebob theme, so I have a Pinterest board going to collect ideas.
I have no real idea what will be going on the actual day of, since it’s Halloween and ToT and parties were banned, so I booked us a stay at Great Wolf Lodge. The kids are swimming every day and I figure that is enough excitement to distract them from the fact the usual Halloween stuff isn’t happening.
I don’t have many gift ideas yet. Dude is super into classic rock lately and basically obsessed with Jimi Hendrix. He’s been asking for his own guitar for awhile, so Pete ordered him a red Hendrix strat.

cagoldi we went to Great Wolf around Halloween one year and it was fun. They had different spots where there was candy. Some out for the littles but also some as part of the game with the wand.

Does anyone have an idea for a Christmas gift that'd work for kids ranging from 1-7? 7 kids total, all girls except my two boys. It's for my mom to gift all the grandkids. I think her budget is usually roughly $100 a kid. Last year she did adorable monogrammed sleeping bags along with a cuddle and kind doll and framed print for each kid.
She will do seperate gifts if needed but was hoping to find something she could give all of them.

@wine, I wonder if she would consider getting each family something big for the house like a bounce house or one of the indoor rock climbing/slide/climber combinations?

For part of his birthday he’s getting a map of Neverland for his wall. I put on his wish list the Magic treehouse books. He’s almost done reading the first one and is loving it. We are still trying to decide what else to get him. I’m leaning towards more The Deep tots. He really likes them.
For E wipe Christmas we are 95% done. Disney Store has a good sale on Frozen 2 stuff so I bought almost everything. We just need a couple of stocking stuffers and L’s gift to her.

She totally would, the only issue is she gets so stressed about things being "fair". One sister and I each have 3 kids and other sister only has 1. My mom will feel like she needs to spend equal amount per kid rather than house but she won't want to get each family one big thing and then something extra for the families with more kids (though my sister's and I don't care at all).

guster do they have to be read in order? A friend had a handful of duplicates and dropped them off but they are just random ones. He does have the first one.
