Finally Friday

Morning ladies! ☀️ What’s happening?

I start work in 10 minutes. E is already up she wanted water (aka wa wa). Right now her fever is only 99.5 but I’m temp-ing again in an hour since temps are lower when you first get up.

All of the fish are dead. We are returning it to the pet store for credit. It was a failed experiment but it reminded me why I don’t like fish.

Happy Friday ladies! I have a grocery pick up today. Hoping it's a quiet work day and I can finish the documentary I've been watching, catch up on Big Brother and get some things done around the house.

Hi everyone. I am playing w the basement TV and trying to set up the antenna, (we cut cable over a year ago) so that I can watch football down here on Sunday.
All the news stations have their 9/11 remembrance coverages on- it really takes me back. I’m sure none of us will forget what we were doing and where we were when we heard. Such a sad day.

Anyhow, TGIF. Looking forward to a weekend of nice weather here.

Morning ladies. It’s 3.30 over here and I’m playing hookie from work, so that I could have a moment for myself. I just gave my h an unjustified hard time about finishing all the bread yesterday, so I guess I should clean out the dishwasher and hang up the laundry to sort of make up for it. And I need to figure uit dinner for tonight...

chrisy01 I'm sorry your fish died. You should keep your tank and try a betta. We've had good success with them. I've also learned that bigger tanks are easier than smaller tanks with other fish. There are so many guidelines now as far as which fish can be in which size tank and how many.
I'm considering getting another small tank for another betta. I saw some panda ones(black and white) the other day and now I'm obsessed.

I got Cadence set up for school and then brought my car in for an oil change and inspection. Hoping it doesn't take too long, but the dude said 1-2 hours. If it looks like it will take longer I'll see if mh can pick me up, but it's really not that big of a deal. Not like I had anything else planned.

My H was supposed to go on a guys trip tomorrow, just for the night. He just sent me a text that it's cancelled because the roads are flooded (they camp in a field in the middle of nowhere).

I'm disappointed. Not that I had any plans, but I was looking forward to the time to myself.

mwhip i feel the same way when mh says band practice is with his drummer instead of the bass player. With the bass player he leaves at like 3, but with the drummer he's home for dinner and doesn't leave until 7. I don't want to make you dinner, dude. I was going to have cereal and binge watch random shit on netflix. You've ruined it all!

MH is leaving this afternoon for a hunt test with the dogs so I am looking forward to a weekend of peace! Just me and S, doing what we want, when we want. Dinner shall be easy, and I can just relax! This is the time of year he is gone a lot more! The spring and summer is rough because we go from winter when he’s gone a lot, to being together 24/7. Especially since we work together and our office is in the same building. So to say I’m looking forward to this first trip in a while is an understatement 😂.

H had virtual speech at 8 this morning. I made MH take care of it because why should I have to do everything? Anyone want to take a guess at how many times he came in to get me because he was fed up? At the end of the session he told me how pointless it was and H won't sit still and wasn't paying attention, etc. NO SHIT, dude.

Perhaps that’s a good FFFC, I don’t mind so much when mh goes on work trips. Me and the kiddos do like you guys mentioned, eat easy yummy food (or takeout!) and watch movies and snuggle.

Did I tell y’all about the crappy babysitter we’ve had since I went back to work after the stay at home order was lifted? Well...I have someone else now that is wonderful! Her son is in S’s class. She is so good with S and actually pays attention to her and interacts with her. It’s amazing! At the crappy babysitter she clung to me and didn’t want me to leave at drop off. Then when I would pick her up she instantly would grab her shoes and come to me. At the new babysitter on day 2, she pushed me away and grabbed babysitters hand and asked for cereal. Then at pick up she looks up at me but keeps playing. 😂. This makes my day!

The old babysitter I don’t t think interacted with her at all. All she did was watch Netflix all day long every day. And there was sooo much more crap too. I’m just sooo glad to be done with her!

We’re slow at work. My sofa is getting delivered this morning. I decided to keep it. It is interest free financing anyway, so it shouldn’t be a big problem. MH has a number of in town football players that want him to train them, so that is a source of income until he gets something else. Hope the word spreads and he can get quite a few clients.

Thanks for the beta fish reminder. M has been wanting a dog since the beginning of quarantine and I said I would get them a fish, but forgot about it. We had one when we lived in FL and he lived a good while.

lfig, that is awesome! I'm so happy for you and S!

tgrimes, DH would take a day off a week to do distance learning with C so I could have a nice block of time to work uninterupted. DH would come in at least 4 times holding the laptop and asking where to sign in, how do I find assignments, etc. I thought it would be a few weeks and he would know how to do things. I was wrong.

Sometimes I think he is purposefully helpless. I call this the Mac n Cheese theory. A few years back I asked him to cook the mac n cheese for dinner. It's from a box so nothing too difficult. Throughout he asks, how long do I cook it for, how much milk, how much butter? It was a lightbulb moment for me because he has cooked it for himself many times through the years and the obvious that the box gives instructions. Whether it was purposeful or subconsciously, him asking me a ton of questions was a way to get me to just do it or even kind of still own the process. I told him later in the night and he was fascinated. Now when I catch him doing these things I just say Mac n Cheese!

Still at the car place. They just suggested I get the fuel system cleaner and the tires rotated. Yeah, sure, go for it.
Meanwhile I've ordered bath bombs and soaps on etsy for Cadence. I found one that is a white cloud that spews rainbow foam. She's going to freak!

Morning. It’s rainy here today. S doesn’t have preschool on fridays so it was nice to not have to rush off to do that this morning. I’m planning to just hang at home all day.

It went up but not as high as yesterday evening. Virtual doctor appointment this afternoon. We can’t go to the office because she has covid symptoms even though we have a negative test.

I don’t think I mentioned that we have a leak under our kitchen sink. We found it Wednesday evening. It’s the same leak after the countertops were done, so we called the contractor and he is coming back out. Hope he can figure it out and fix it.
