I did Cody's core bootcamp tonight and it was HARD y'all. The core stuff was no joke. Cody is usually on the easier side. I was going to do Kendall's 20 minute climb ride and then a barre on-demand but I only had 30 minutes before a social call so I will do that plan tomorrow.
I need to drink more water. And sleep more.

I did 20 minute barre with Ally and 20 minute power yoga with Kristen! The barre was okay. I will need to try a couple more before making a decision as to whether or not I would like to continue. Power yoga was great as usual.

I'm fairly certain I strained my quad. I've had it up all night, it's compressed for now. It's had some ice and heat. It feels mildly better. Hopefully my chiro can get me in tomorrow or Thursday. Ugh, worst. I'm sorry. I hope it's minor and you're ok.

RunsforWineandCarbs, I know it’s a huge bummer to have to take a break from running, but I’m glad to hear you finally have a date set to take care of your hernia. You’re going to come back from it better than ever!

I did a 30min intervals and arms ride with Cody this morning followed by a 5min cool down ride and then a 5 min meditation. I need to work more meditation into my life because it really does help to slow down and clear my mind for a bit. Sorry for the quad issues GhoatMonket. I hope it feels better this morning.

I hope your quad is feeling better today GhoatMonket! 5 miles for me this morning— felt great. I need to do some strength and a serious stretch session today. My calves and arches are still sooo tight. I have arthritis in my feet and I am really feeling it.

I’m so happy- our boss is finally letting us work from home again. We were WFH April-June but she brought us back in for reasons that do not make sense. I work in an office in a hospital so I’m definitely grateful to cut out that exposure. Plus WFH is so much better for my work/life balance. I’ll be able to work out and make healthy home cooked meals much more easily now.
This morning I did a 10 minute HIIT workout and a 20 minute power walk. I haven’t planned food yet.

Cross-training day for me so I did Olivia's 10 min HIIT Cardio (9/9/20), Andy's 10 min Arms & Shoulders Strength (9/5/20), and Hannah's 10 min Intro to Barre (9/21/20).
It was definitely a jam-packed 30 minutes.
Olivia was tough (as usual) with the HIIT and I was pretty much moving the entire time.
Andy's was challenging and he did very little rest as well. I'm noticing an issue with my left elbow when I do the tricep overhead extension so I switched that up to doing behind my back.
As for Barre, I loved Barre when I did it before (I was a dancer - ballet/jazz - many eons ago) so this was a nice way to ease back in as I haven't done it since last year. I will absolutely be adding it into the rotation on my cross-training or active recovery days. I have missed the shake/burn, although maybe not the charley-horsing in my ass/hamstrings. But all for a good cause. LOL.
I'm also going to get back in the habit of taking 1-2 shorter walks each day.

Does anyone use a pre workout they’d recommend? I’ve been trying one the last couple of weeks and I love the energy it gives me, but it also makes me really bloated which I do not love.

No-Repeat HIIT this morning. I love the no-repeat aspect, but man, it's killer because you KNOW it's only 45 seconds of this ONE THING.
S: Protein B: Oatmeal L: DIY Lunchables (pepperoni, cheddar cheese, a few crakers) S: Apple, Carrots + Hummus D: Wednesday night is pizza night!

Joel kicked my butt with shoulders today (and I am not that strong I pulled my 5s out) and then Shaun T kicked my butt at T25 cardio. It was the first morning I had to turn the fan on because of sweating so that is good.

i was so, so tired last night that i let myself sleep in and it's looking like this is going to be an off day, unless i can miraculously squeeze in a good chest/back circuit. if i can't, i'll do it tomorrow without concern.
i average about 6-6.5 hours of sleep per night and last night i got more than 8 hours (according to my fitbit. it felt like even more than that!). i'm blaming my ear infection, lol

Went a little farther today, a bit over 3 miles. My personal victory was that I went even though it was less than 60 degrees outside. I do NOT like cold weather but I wore my ear band and keeping my ears from throbbing seems to have made all the difference (I have sensitive ears when it’s cool and breezy out).

Do you guys stream free peloton app from the tv or from your devices? If I'm working out from inside my house, I use the app on my TV (FireStick). Otherwise, I use on my phone.

I still recommend the body weight scale if anyone is looking for one. It gives you lots of neat data to obsess over. 😀

Do you guys stream free peloton app from the tv or from your devices? Both. I use my tv to stream from fire tv when I run or workout in the basement. I use my iPad if I workout upstairs or do a challenge since those don't show up on the Amazon compatible app.

Howdy friends.
I did Robin's most recent 20 minute HIIT run and walked everything but the intervals. Then I did Olivia's 20 minute full body. Feels good to move mostly normal again.
So far I've had eggs and turkey sausage for breakfast and a PBJ for lunch. We have lots of chili left over that I'll have for dinner. Then pie and ice cream, because balance.

Yesterday was a 30 minute rock fun run with Andy. I don’t know if I was just grumpy or what, but I found him very annoying. He kept saying “Let’s go baby!” like a frat bro every time he wanted you to speed up. Bugged the heck out of me, but it did put me over 40 miles for the month so whatever.
Today I tried the 10 minute barre intro and really liked it. I’ve never done barre before and I would be too embarrassed to try a real class because I’m so self-conscious. This is why I like Peloton, it’s perfect for ridiculous antisocial introverts.

Went to the beach instead of on a walk yesterday - it was nice to be there, but DD melted down towards the end, so that marred the whole thing.
Went for a walk this morning, grocery pickup around lunch time to make up for my missing imperfect box, and hopefully a barre or strength video this afternoon.
Sous vide pork tenderloin with roasted veggies for dinner tonight - yum!

What have you been using? How much do you want to spend? Something called Nooma...an IG ad got me. It was $30 for a 12 servings (with a discount code). I’d do better with something I don’t have to mix. I also tried old school labs last year and it was fine, but I almost never used it because apparently mixing it myself is just too much work 😆. It is $40 for 20 servings on amazon, but I think I used a code. I don’t think price is really a factor for me.

My Apple Watch tells me I burned 720 calories during my workout today. I don’t believe it, but I like the extra credit anyway!

I've used the "clean" C4 and just don't care for it. My other one that I cycle in is Promera Pre or Pump (I have their creatine already). If you go that route, let me know and I'll give you my friend's discount code. Their flavors are decent (other than the Apple Recovery drink- that shit is awful).

Hello all! I just got back to my office from bootcamp! She crushed us in the best way. Quads and triceps on fire. I have youth sports all night so I will get in ample walking up and down stadium steps lol
B: Oatmeal w/ almond butter L: hearts of palm "ziti" and a arugula salad with balsamic, grilled chicken and cherry tomatoes D: hoping I can just do a protein shake (with PB and banana added) and avoid the fast food the rest of my family will likely be eating S: hummus chips and tzatziki
