Just print the labels and Evie will have a fun afternoon of sticking stickers on every single thing she owns.

mwhip I’d vote if my kids drops something on the floor, throw it out and I’ll buy a new one.

mwhip I’d vote if my kids drops something on the floor, throw it out and I’ll buy a new one. This is what I said. I'm already sending 4 boxes of Crayola crayons that cost $0.50 per box, what's another one later in the year? and another question about these labeling requirements...per the school supply list, boys bring in hand sanitizer, girls bring wet wipes. Does that mean my kid doesn't get to use hand sanitizer since it's labelled specifically for that child? You can't tell me there is no sharing of supplies being brought it.

mwhip Oh my goodness, that is a bit much. There is no way that I would be labeling every single crayon...LOL if someone had a problem with it I would dare them to waste their time asking me such a dumb question.

We have to label all school supplies also: markers, crayons, etc. I just use a sharpie. I don’t label community supplies like Clorox wipes or Kleenex. Although I can’t find Clorox wipes so 🤷🏻♀️

I have yet to see them in the wild in ages. That is the only reason I have them.

We just got notified we are switching from full in person to hybrid. School starts next week, N will go M/W/every other Friday. I just picked up a small table to use as a school station because I don’t want to use the dining room table again. N found out her teacher yesterday and we have a virtual open tomorrow to “meet” him and hopefully she’ll know a few kids in her class to make it easier. She got the only male classroom teacher, which she was surprised by, but now says she’s lucky

Cadence and melaniesue's M are in the same class this year. They are so excited! I just hope they actually get to go to school at some point.

Remind me, do you start the year virtually? Yes, we start on the 8th and the first 4 weeks will be virtual. Then they will start a phase in process of kids who want to do in person. Her teacher is ready for in person, but if not enough kids from her class want it, then Cadence may have a different teacher is she goes back. So I'll base my decision on what her class majority is doing. I would gate for her to have to adjust to a new teacher a month in.

We were told we can’t ask parents for those types of items.

I just figured it was the norm.

It was on our elementary supply list (which I think is the same each year) but the school sent out an email saying don't worry about wipes, and that the district is supplying them. I found some so I'm sending them in anyway, and I gave some to C's teacher as well (they were not requested but I figured she'd use them regardless). guster I've been seeing them more lately, both at Target and grocery stores, but you have to get there in the a.m. before they sell out.

We can give supply lists but can’t penalize those who don’t have supplies. My kids in elementary usually got a list of stuff for themselves and then a teacher wish list with stuff like tissues and wipes. A few years ago, all the handsanitzer was taken from our rooms overnight and we were told it was dangerous and illegal to have in schools. No one seems to remember that incident. This year we were told not to ask for any of that stuff because they are going to be very specific about what can be used so we have to use what the school provides us. Allegedly, we are stocked up on such items.

I gave some to T and he said “smells like grapes.” I was impressed.

I offered to buy these for M's teacher. She said she wanted to do some research first but thought they were neat. I ordered some for myself. I'm not going to be one of "those people" but I do get hot and faint feeling while wearing a mask. I think this will help for longer trips out. Yesterday at the store, when I got in an aisle by myself I would pull it down and take a few deep breaths. These come in next week. I actually saw a video on facebook about them by a teacher. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08CVDG7HK/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Also, kim22, I'm putting together a little gift bag for M's teacher. I have a apple pointer from target that M insisted she needed lol. A nice sanitizer, lotion for the dry skin from constant hand washing. What else would you like to get?
