It's another hot one here, so I got up at 4:30 and ran. At least that is done for the day. Just work for me today. I'll probably do a load of laundry. I have this weird thing about going out of town and leaving dirty laundry, so I'll do some every day this week.

I'm annoyed with H. I found out yesterday, the house we are staying at on vacation is empty this week. I asked H how much PTO he still has. Like 3 weeks, plus a week and half of sick time. I suggest leaving a day early, on Thursday, so we get there a day earlier. His response...I don't want to spend another $75. Really? You are spending $1400 on fireworks, but don't want to spend $75 to be at the ocean?
I rolled my eyes. So I'm trying to forget that and just trudge through what will be the longest 4 days before we leave.

I was supposed to have a kid free morning and planned a ton of errands... Both kids woke up with ever so slightly runny noses, normally I wouldn’t even bet an eye, I mean they’re 4/6 they have colds all.the.time. In these times however it means no school. I had a little meltdown this morning on how on earth we are going to do this in the fall, when both Dh and are expected to be at work, grandparents can’t watch the kids, we can’t bring the kids anywhere, so all errands have to be done when both parents are home... For now I really hope the kids noses clear up soon, ds his teacher is supposed to come by Wednesday and they have a field trip in Friday. Apparently I’m guilty of FOMO for my kids, i can miss all the things and won’t really care, but when it’s those two...
ETA the fall, because ds and Dd had runny noses from oktober till February or something like that 🤦🏼♀️.

nam2013 you are not alone in your questions of how parents are to handle things. I get schools not wanting any kind of illnesses around, since you can't be too careful, but most parents don't have unlimited leave. It's definitely something that has been stressing me out and I don't have to worry about it for a few months.

I contacted several photographers about doing a few family photos on the beach. One responded this morning...$250 for a 30 minute session. That's significantly more than I was expecting. Pretty sure I can't convince H to go for that. Hopefully someone will have something a bit more in my budget.

I just got to me this morning, I’m sure my hormones aren’t helping either .

Morning.
I could not fall asleep last night and pretty sure I got less than 2 hours of sleep since I had to be up at 5am. So tired. I’m at work doing temp screenings today. Just gotta make it to 2pm.

mwhip I would be annoyed at that, too. OMG to 1400 on fireworks! nam2013 I’m sorry. I haven’t thought about the runny nose thing in regards to school this fall. Uugggh.

I woke up feeling off. My stomach hurts, sore throat, and super weak. I had a bunch to do today, including making a cake for MJ's cake smash photo shoot tomorrow. Don't know if I will be able to power thru.

I woke up randomly at 3:30 and was surprised MH and the kids were still in the tent in our backyard. Then I heard a few cars drive up outside our house and thought it was odd so I looked outside and there were 4 cop cars! We live on a small cul de sac and they were all around it. I called MH who luckily answered and brought the kids in. It looked like they had someone pulled over? But no lights or anything. Also strange because we live about a quarter mile into our subdivision.

Morning. Nothing on the schedule for today. It’s going to be hot but we are also supposed to get a thunderstorm this afternoon so we probably won’t do much.

Even if it turns out to be allergies they’re still not allowed in school... According to our equivalent of your CDC, people should not use public transport, go to work/school when having a runny nose/cough etc.

trtlcrzy I’ve been meaning to ask, how have you been feeling? No more contractions? Nope, no more contractions unfortunately. I’m feeling pretty good for the most part. I am achy this morning from working this weekend. Baby basically has no where else to go, when I’m standing up I feel like she’s super low but when I sit down she’s up in my ribs. Short people problems. I got out my exercise ball yesterday so I plan to sit on that quite a bit until she makes her grand debut. I see the OB tomorrow.

Morning. I woke up motn with a pinched nerve in my back so I’m heading to the chiro soon. It’s supposed to be 95 but super windy so not sure what we’ll do all day. MIL asked just Last night If they could have N and H today and tomorrow. It seemed so last minute (they are 1.5 hours away) and N finally gets to go back to dance class in the studio so I don’t want her to miss it. So now Dh is going to meet his parents tomorrow evening and they’ll have the kids until Thursday night. Works for me!

Camping this weekend went pretty well, all things considered. L did fine, he slept decent and didn’t fuss too much. I, however, don’t know if I’m cut out for this camping life. Lol. A thunderstorm came through at dinner time on Saturday and i just can’t handle the chaos of getting inside and everything being wet and muddy and then being stuck in the camper for an hour with our kids (plus our friends 2 kids who took shelter with us) it was just too much. Which lead to Dh and I getting frustrated with each other and me just being over it. It’s probably a good thing we don’t have another weekend planned until the end of August.

slenle I talked about this with my mom yesterday, I love camping, but I’m really a ‘fair weather camper’ especially now that we have kids.

Hopefully today goes by fast lahdeedah, and you get some rest time in the afternoon. Feel better peachsmama, hopefully it's a quick illness. That's weird wineallthetime, but how great that they spent the night outside. My neighbours bought a new trailer and brought it home this weekend slenle,, I love it and of course got me searching out the perfect layout for us. I think we're going to rent for next year and then decide if we like it as a family and what layout we'd like, bunkbeds or not, it's such an investment I want to make sure that we'll use it.

Morning! I stayed up late finishing a book and slept til 9:40 this morning 😳 DH goes back to work on Friday so I guess I should enjoy this while I can. I’m making a grocery run today and I may swing by my sister’s to pick up 2 twin headboards she’s been storing for me. I bought them off a resale sight a couple years back (literally) and have been planning to refinish them for C’s room. I’m thinking I’ll start this week so maybe they’ll be ready for move-in? slenle hope your back eases up, that is the worst! Glad you survived camping 🙌🏻 mwhip I hate spending money on photography. Like, I know it’s their livelihood and obviously a service I cannot do myself but it seems to have gotten so expensive in recent years, at least in my area.

According to our equivalent of your CDC, people should not use public transport, go to work/school when having a runny nose/cough etc. It's the same thing over here as well right now, daycares opened back up with small numbers allowed but they have to be so strict with any sort of sickness that kids have to removed immediately and out for the 14 days. So if I enrolled them, paid, went back to work and then one got 'sick' (and of course they will kids are cesspools of germs) I'd have to go back to working from home, get a COVID test for them, and then do it all over if one of them gets sick. It'd be a complete waste of money and energy with the work from home/office transitions. I honestly don't know when the kids will go back to daycare.

They're trimming the trees at my office today so it's pretty loud. Hopefully it doesn't take them too long to finish up because they're blocking the entrance. Pretty sure they were supposed to do this on the weekend so it wouldn't interfere with our customers trying to get inside our office.
