I might be the odd one out but I am happy to pay for pictures. My photographer charged $200 for our mini session and we will get 30+ pictures edited in color and b&w. What really annoys me though is when you do a mini session and the photographer only gives you 5 photos edited and you have to pay an arm and a leg to get more or all of your pics.

In the past we’ve paid less for mini sessions but because of everything going on I think she bumped up the prices. I don’t actually know what our newborn session is going to cost, I haven’t asked.

I usually opt for the half-hour session b/c 1) that's about all DH can stand of posing, etc., and 2) we're running out of room to display photos. I only have so many surfaces, haha. 

Considering I haven't even had photos printed/framed from the session we did last August--other than using a couple on my Christmas card--we're taking a break for a bit, lol.

C keeps asking to go to school. We are leaving him in the home daycare another year because 1. Love my daycare lady and 2. It will be less exposure to others. My kids could end up with crazy schedules but MH will probably be working from home for the foreseeable future (though I must admit I was googling office space in our area earlier today because I’m getting really tired of keeping C away from him when he’s on calls).

I signed the kids up starting July. S starts camp July 20 but it is week to week and I will only lose 1 week if I cancel. B officially starts July 6 but I am thinking about keeping him home till S starts on July 20. I get nothing back if we don't send him. I am having major anxiety about it. Honestly there is a chance we will not send them and eat the money. But if we didn't sign them up we would lose the spots.

MH thinks it doesn't matter if we do it now or September so we might as well do it now.

I have not even been in a grocery store yet and my outings have consisted of 2 pizza parties w/ S BFFs family who has been social distancing too, and 1 trip to Dunkin's to pick up coffee I ordered online. I feel like we are ripping the band aid off and I am super terrified.

I am also slightly jealous of those of you in states without big outbreaks who seem to be living a more "normal" life.

Anyway, sorry for that. Apparently I have a lot of feelings.

She lost her shit when they were trying to take blood. They tried in the crook of her elbow first and blew the vein because the nurse couldnt see them. They finally got it in the opposite hand.

Waiting on results from xray and blood work.

Shes being a trooper but is hungry. She keeps telling is everything she would prefer to be doing...at home.

jewels I’m sorry, these decisions are paralyzing and anxiety inducing for sure. I hope with a little more time you are able to make peace with whatever you choose, there is no ‘right’ answer or clear path.

Both kids made their beds this morning, put together their lunch plates and then asked to dry the dishes after dinner. I dont know what kind of nonsense they’re planning but I am on guard.

Probably some versed/midazolam. S has had multiple MRI’s. For the long ones they knock her out fully. But they can also do short ones...5-10 minutes. For those they give her the versed and it just makes her chill.

I got the headboards picked up and groceries bought. Those beds are definitely going to be more of a project than I remembered, lol, but I think they will be really cute. I need to figure out what all I need supply-wise so I can hit Home Depot.

This afternoon we made cupcakes while DH took my car to be washed--perfect timing since the carseats were out to make room for the beds. Plus after the road trip it was in dire need!

jewels  Sending socially distant hugs  I think it's good you signed up and at least have the spots held. Take it one day at a time...you've got a month+ to decide and see how things go b/n now and then. I think camp is a great way to start easing back in, but you have to do what you are comfortable with.

@jewls, I have that fear, too. We have literally seen no one so be 3/13. I did a curbside pick up on Sunday and today I let the piano tuner into the house, and I kept apologizing to him and telling him I couldn’t tell if we were 6 Ft apart when he’d call me into the living room for a question.
Nothing feels at all normal to me yet.

I’m dying at Josie’s cuteness. She wants to start a little free library in our town (you know those chicken coop looking ones) but just for kids.
I told her I would help her write to our town and school librarians and our selectsman to see if it’s possible, but it might be such a fun summer project to create and publicize.

+1 I have been more places and see people on our walks, but I don't actually want to go somewhere. Like the idea of being inside a restaurant freaks me out and don't have the desire to eat out at all. I suspect we will be home until the end of the year at least.

ETA: if everyone was wearing masks I'd feel much more comfortable, but seems like people aren't in crowded spots which is concerning

Cadence made my bed yesterday. Then requested reimbursement in the form of a toy. 😕

They didnt give her anything before the MRI. I asked the guy doing it how long it would take, when he said about an hour, she started crying. I feel awful for her.

Shes back now. H and I are sitting in a waiting room. We are all hungry and tired.

I’m ok with that price with 30+ pics-pretty good deal- especially if given to you digitally to make prints as you see fit, but not as a yearly thing. I would be cool with 10 or so pics because after doing both boys, my wedding, and 1 family session, all the pics I have aren’t even being used. They are just in some file with just a couple of my faves out to family members. I’ve come to realize that I don’t need ALL the pictures. I am overdue for a family session though. It’s been 3 years since M2 was born. Whoops!

I have started doing every other year for family pics. Of course there will be more this year with the new baby but I like having all the pics too.
