I signed the kids up starting July. S starts camp July 20 but it is week to week and I will only lose 1 week if I cancel. B officially starts July 6 but I am thinking about keeping him home till S starts on July 20. I get nothing back if we don't send him. I am having major anxiety about it. Honestly there is a chance we will not send them and eat the money. But if we didn't sign them up we would lose the spots. MH thinks it doesn't matter if we do it now or September so we might as well do it now. I have not even been in a grocery store yet and my outings have consisted of 2 pizza parties w/ S BFFs family who has been social distancing too, and 1 trip to Dunkin's to pick up coffee I ordered online. I feel like we are ripping the band aid off and I am super terrified. I am also slightly jealous of those of you in states without big outbreaks who seem to be living a more "normal" life. Anyway, sorry for that. Apparently I have a lot of feelings. I’m sorry you have mixed feelings and anxiety about the kids. It’s not an easy decision. We decided to not start M until July also. Are numbers starting to at least decrease in your area? Maybe you can scope it out the first week on a random day to see how the rules are being followed and how many kids are in B’s class. Vent away. We are here to “listen”.

They didnt give her anything before the MRI. I asked the guy doing it how long it would take, when he said about an hour, she started crying. I feel awful for her. Shes back now. H and I are sitting in a waiting room. We are all hungry and tired. I’m sorry your evening turned out like this and hope it’s nothing major. Glad she got through it. There was a baby wearing lady that came in for an outpatient MRI and she said the baby was the patient. I was like- say what now? I was sure they were going to send her into the hospital for the scan because no way a baby will be still for an MRI without something. I wondered why she wasn’t at the children’s hospital down the street. I didn’t see when she left so I don’t know what happened.

It took a very very long time, but I am officially a Schitts Creek fan. The end of season 3 made me most interested, and I’m such a fan of the David/Patrick storyline.

Finally caught up.
I’m a little annoyed. The boys started the second session of swim today. Their classes were scheduled at the same time. When we got there she told me M’s class was actually at the time slot before, but he joined in with another class- which actually turned out to be a solo lesson with one teacher. She said they had been having “technical difficulties” all day and would figure it out. She called about an hour after I left and said that she doesn’t know what happened and there was probably confusion because their first session was at the same time and she doesn’t see a way to get them in this session at the same time. M2 was all over me and crying because he smashed his finger so I just quickly said ok and got off the phone. After I dealt with him, I found the email she sent with his scheduled time and forwarded it to make sure she knew whatever “confusion” was on her part because I had receipts with the boys time schedules and it was the time she gave me. I said it will be fine and we will be there at the other time, but just an “I see you biatch” for her.
So now instead of 30 min of peace, I have to be there an hour entertaining the boys one at a time. Inconvenience.
ETA: I forgot my phone at home when I was actually there, so I didn’t have the receipts then.

Vent away. We are here to “listen”. No parents are allowed inside. I heard back from the day care director (Camp and DC are at the same location but run by different people) and she said before it starts up again I could bring B in for a bit to meet with the teacher. I think I am most worried about him adapting to a new place. I trust that they will follow the rules. I am worried about them being out and about but honestly, I don't think that worry will be quelled by the rules. I think it's just them being anywhere, if that makes sense.

jewels I was jealous of Norway last week since they are a lot more relaxed with the rules and things seem under control and of New Zealand yesterday, no more disease there!

How the fuck is she supposed to sit still for an MRI? I hope she’s okay. Is she freaking out? Probably some versed/midazolam. S has had multiple MRI’s. For the long ones they knock her out fully. But they can also do short ones...5-10 minutes. For those they give her the versed and it just makes her chill. I love Versed. We have to use it for X and that stuff is miraculous.

guster yup, 1 week is the standard now instead of 24 hours. Basically, nobody will ever go back to an office or WAH without at least one child here.
