Ok so I need all the help with registering. What are the best places? What do I need? How many of each thing? Also has anyone ever used babylist.com? It allows you to add things from any store, like Etsy. I'm thinking I should still register at one or two regular places then link so I qualify for completion discounts. Thoughts and advice please!

I'm a newb at this too, but I'm just registering at Target. They seem to have all of the stuff we'll need at first.

Advice on strollers. According to the Baby Bargains book a Bob Revolution or Flex fits my needs. We tend to walk the dogs in the street in our neighborhood or on flat trails. But it's at least $450 for just the stroller and I would still need to buy a car seat and adapter. Is there a travel system that would fit my needs or do I suck it up and spend the money on a Bob?

I know some people swear by being able to put the carseat on the stroller ... we never did. My mom got one of those baby trend frames for the carseat and she used it like 4 times. I wore DS in the baby k'tan when we went for walks. We have a city jogger mini gt (you can get a carseat adapter for it) and have been very happy with it. All terrain tires are great.

Also, a good stroller is well worth whatever you are willing to pay for it. Walks are how I maintained my sanity when DS was a newborn (and yes he was born in January lol). There are likely other strollers that are less than the BOB that meet your needs. Look for something with all terrain tires.

For DS I registered at babie r us and target. I went into babies r us and used the scanner to pick things. It helped me to actually see things in the store. the target one I did online. Most people bought things off of the target one. I had trouble deciding whether to duplicate things on each one. There are usually suggestions on the site that can help with types of things to get. I created an amazon registry for this LO, mostly for fun because we don't need much. They had a list of most popular registry items that helped me remember what I might need.

My concern for mine and the pups sanity is not being able to walk outside since this is a November babe. Not sure what is temp is considered ok.

I definitely recall walking on a day that I could see my breathe lol.

I'm in NJ so further north but I was thinking I might be able to wear the baby in the colder months to help with temp.

We have Bob Pro and love it. Keep your eyes open on Bob's facebook for promotions. We bought ours when they had a buy a stroller plus adapter and get the car seat free deal. And even then we ordered from BBB and stacked 20% off on it.

Lots of blankets and a good hat!

I wouldn't hesitate to wear/take baby in stroller. Just be careful of ice/slippery spots.

For DS, I registered at BRU and Amazon. I thought BRU was more expensive (we got crib and dresser). We got our stroller, pack n play, co-sleeper, high chair, crib mattress, and car seat through Amazon. We tested the stroller out at BRU though I got a ton of stuff during Black Friday/Cyber Monday sales. Prime Day is coming up and I'm on the look out for sales! This kid, I'm using an Amazon registry and registered at Target to get their registry gift bags. I shared the registry with my MIL and will share it with my mom. That whole 2nd kid thing.

Also has anyone ever used babylist.com? It allows you to add things from any store, like Etsy. Amazon lets you do this, which is what I did for DD. I was price-comparing on Amazon for most things anyway, so it helped to be able to just add things to the registry as I went.

We have a B-Affinity stroller - it can be a travel system with a Britax infant seat. We love it and loved being able to pop DS out of the car and onto the stroller. I spent a lot of time walking the mall on my last maternity leave because it was too cold to walk outside. Not always good for the wallet, but good to see people and not feel claustrophobic. Figure I'll do the same thing this time - and hopefully, I can knock out the holiday shopping during the non-crowded hours

Definitely register for bottles, even if you plan to breastfeed. As I learned, somethings can't be planned, and we needed bottles starting week 1 (combo of low supply, tongue tie, and bad latch). But I'd recommend registering for 1 set (if I remember, most have a starter pack) because some babies are fussy. Avent naturals worked for us - and thankfully were easy to clean/ not too many parts. For bedding, we put on 3 changing covers, 4 PNP sheets (it was our bassinet), and 4 crib sheets, plus 2 waterproof mattress covers. I didn't want to be in a jam with sheets in the middle of the night.

Talk to me about carriers. Do I get a wrap for when baby is small or get a regular carrier that has an infant insert? I will admit the wraps intimidate me a little and the structure of other carriers seems like it would be easier. Also which one ergo, tula, etc.

I'm super behind here but I love put B Agile with car seat adapter (we have a Brita Chaperone). Love. We will definitely use it again. I will say the BOB has a much smoother ride so I used that for longer walks and runs. But the B Agile is light, easy to fold up and drop in the car, and was and will be our go to day to day stroller.

I will go ahead and 100% recommend having a travel system where you can snap in the bucket seat. Also getting car seat bases. It makes getting the baby in and out of the house/stroller/car so much easier.

I did get a double BOB already so take my advice with a grain of salt, haha.
I still plan to use the B Agile for day to day since DD will be almost 4. And I added a Sit and Stand to our very minimal Amazon registry so I am still thinking about that.

For our first we registered at Buy Buy Baby and Amazon. This time around I registered at PB Kids, Target, and Amazon again just for the completion discounts. I haven't even added anything to anything but the Amazon registry.
If you have $1000 in eligible items bought from your Amazon registry, you get $100 toward diapers! I added a dresser for DD's room to that list, haha.

What are good double stroller? Which ones are terrible. J will be still be pretty tiny. I need something that easily fits in the back of an SUV. I have two other strollers so part of me questions if I need to buy more. I only started using a stroller with J for his chemo appointments. I might wear the new baby and push J in the stroller.

Also which one ergo, tula, etc. I had a wrap like one for when DD was small (a KTan) and I loved it and will use it again. I then used the Ergo when she was bigger, and I never used an insert. I actually think I may put the Ergo 360 on my list because it wasn't around when DD was baking and I like the front facing option. Plus I think there is one with a mesh fabric for hotter weather. It doesn't get too cold here so that would be nice.

Make sure you get your pre-preg shirt size or you won't feel like it's secure! I have an ergo too and love it. I got the mesh side one but it still is a little warm- I went hiking with it though last summer (DS was almost 2) and could barely feel the extra weight. I am not going to get the 360 just because I already have the old ergo but think it's worth the money!

The same one is on our registry because it's brutally hot here in the summer and DH runs hot in all seasons. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

We also have an ergo, tula, and lillebaby. I hate the ergo (straps were too bulky for me to get comfortable). I love the tula. And the lillebaby is new for this kid. I got it because I don't need an insert. I also have a wrap, also new for this baby. I figured out how to wrap DS on my hip when I first got it and am gonna youtube learn infant wraps once baby is born. I'm potentially interested in a ring sling but want to see if I can do the wrap thing See if there's a local babywearing international group near you. They have carriers you can borrow/ask questions/show you how to wear/help your carrier fit etc.
