I'm late on this. I don't have Amazon prime so I can't get that box, but how do you get the target box? Do you have to make a registry?

I have a questions.
I've never used a rock n play. We have a swing, a boppy, and a playpen for downstairs. As well as a crib and bassinet. But I've heard so many good things about the RNP. Is it worth getting? And if so, is it important that it has the rocking feature? Or is just vibration enough?
Also, I was looking into getting the dock-a-tot. We already have a bassinet for by the bed but I wonder if getting something like the dock-a-tot would help ease my PGAL brain. Plus, it's portable and small. Anyone have knowledge or insight on this?

quinn we had a vibrating rock and play without the auto rocking and it worked fine. I kind of want an auto rocking one this time but it definitely isn't a must have.

But yes, it was the only thing DD slept in for a solid 2 months between bassinet and crib.

I think if you already have a swing you should be fine, but I've also never had a RnP. I'm still not 100% on the function of a Dock-A-Tot. Anything that would help ease your mind might be worth it though.

thatgolfb maybe if I can find a cheap RNP it might be worth it. I have the 4moms swing but it needs to always be plugged in. So I guess it wouldn't hurt to find a portable alternative? AnnPerkins my bassinet is pretty big so it has to go at the foot of my bed. I'd like something closer to me that I can just reach over and check on or pick up baby. The dock-a-tot can be brought around the house and eventually put in his crib I think. Now I'm wondering if it's useless to get both the RNP and the dock-a-tot?? Maybe I should just get 1 or the other? Sorry so many questions. I'm just typing as I think lol

quinn, we have a RNP but never used the rock or vibrate features. We treated it like a bassinet and it was next to my side of the bed the first few months. H got me a Halo bassinet on prime day, so now it will go to my mom's for when the baby comes since we use the PNP downstairs

I think the doc-a-tot is more meant for safe bed sharing. I could be wrong though. The RNP is narrow enough to snug up against the side of the bed. Our last master was tinyyyyyyy and it worked fine.

I think I would rather have him in bed with me. I never bed shared before but it really appeals to me this time around. Plus, H would have the ability to wake up with him at night.

The Amazon registry box! If you go through the thread, there is a lot of info on it. (I don't mean that to be snarky, it would just be easier for you than me explaining it lol).

Anyone have knowledge or insight on this? quinn, I think some of it depends on the kid. My son would NOT take to a swing no matter how much I tried. But he would go in the RNP. I eventually invested in the auto rocking one and it was a lifesaver for me. He never liked the vibration though so I didn't use that feature.

Ok, I scanned through this but didn't see if anyone had recommendations for amount of clothes? I know this kid will be in lots of sleepers/sleep and play because winter, but how much of everything do I need? We do laundry frequently, about every other day or so. I read elsewhere that 14 outfits or sleepers are suggested. Does that seem about right?

I read elsewhere that 14 outfits or sleepers are suggested. Does that seem about right? I think I got 10-14 sleepers for DS. I went out and bought more in newborn size because I only had like 3. He was in newborn size FOREVER. Most people will tell you not to get too many newborn size sleepers but my kid was a peanut. We did laundry every 4 days or so (more frequently if there was a blowout). Now we do it weekly, but will probably do it more frequently once baby is born. Infants just make a mess. Honestly, with Amazon prime so available, you always can order what you need and get it within a day or two. ETA Once DH gets the newborn stuff down from the attic, I'll update with a count. DS was a winter baby so he was primarily in sleepers for the first 3+ months of his life.

fancy I have 18 newborn size sleepers combo of fleecey ones and cotton. DS was a peanut though so you probably don't actually need that many.
