Morning!
We are sitting in the Home Depot parking lot while DH gets mulch. It’s gorgeous here today so we’ll be out by the pool after we get the yard work done. I think we’re going to do steak kabobs for dinner.

Morning! Kids are having a snack platter lunch outside and playing with some old toys i dragged outside.
I found some seed packets in a gardening caddy so we’ll do that this afternoon and try to keep them alive.

Oh, I also ordered a ton of play clothes for Charlie from Target this morning. Cat and Jack drawstring shorts for 4 dollars and t shirts for under 4.
I tried Josie’s shoes on her yesterday and she has nothing for summer but a pair a of brown leather sandals, a pair of birks and one pair of natives. She is indesperate need but I don’t know if I should order 12s or 13s.

Not sure how return policy are, but with shoes I usually order both sizes, see how they fit and often keep both if the smaller size fits (if they’re cheap) or send back the smaller pair. |

Hey. I am alone at my house for the first time in what seems like forever. It’s a quarantine miracle! DH and the girls ran to my sister’s house so she can cut his hair. The girls have been begging for me to set up the swimming pool so I am currently getting that filled up. It’s supposed to get to 80 today so hopefully the water warms up quickly, cause it’s ice cold right now. I have so many gardening tasks I want to do but I’m trying to take it easy today, we’ll see how long that lasts.

My kids never have shoes. They all hate them and are so picky so they usually have 1 pair each. Today, C stomped all through puddles and his are now soaked and gross. Everyone needs sandals and new sneakers and I dread ordering online because of the pickiness (I’m the same, I hardly own any shoes either). DD will spend the summer in cheap Old Navy flip flops. DS1 will wear Adidas slides and I have to figure out something for the other boys. I’m pretty sure T has work the same sandals the past 3 summers.

M2 loves his crocs that they are actually hand me downs from M. They are easy and even M2 can put them on by himself. |

lahdeedah which croc style does M2 wear? I saw that they have the typical 'clog' but also a sandal now. Curious b/c my sister was talking about getting some for my nephew, who is 2. I was trying to find the ones online that Prince William made famous several years ago, lol.

Natives are our go-to's in the summer, I remember tallb told me about them way back when B was a toddler and we've been fans since  B loves Reef flip flops, C just wears the cheapies from Carters. I get her the white Saltwater sandal to wear with sundresses and whatnot, and those can get wet, too. She also has white leather Kids Mary Janes, which I like for school b/c they're enclosed--of course I bought those in early March and she's hardly worn them since we've been home so much 😒 |

Hi. We all slept in today. Its pretty outside but I’m feeling lazy. The boys are asking to go back to the park. We may try a different one. They are currently driving me crazy. They can’t leave each other alone and it’s a lot of whining. Anyone’s kid wearing deodorant yet? In the last two weeks, I’ve noticed M have a stink head — ok wtf autocorrect- I meant “stench” — after being outside. Even if he is just out there for a couple minutes, as soon as he comes in he smells. I bought a trial size Native deodorant to try because I don’t know if I want him using the aluminum yet. I do have baby powder that I can try on him, too to see if that helps. I think joelies had a similar issue and tried some different soaps? Any you recommend? |

Last year, M had a pair of the navy sandals and like those, too.  I can’t find the exact style of the sandal, so they must have discontinued it. They have a similar style, but it seems heavier than the one we had. |

I just ordered the little boys sandals. I don’t know what brand they are but they were the only ones they had the correct sizes and could be delivered in under a week so they are going to have to like them.
Another fail for the day. DD can’t ride her bike. Like she can’t figure out how to balance. She’s 9 and can almost do a backhand spring on a balance beam but she can’t figure this out.
I was going to go for a run but instead I’m having a donut and a white claw in my driveway with the dog.

I had to edit my post because autocorrect changed “stench” to Stink head?? They must have made autocorrect more aggressive with updates because I swear in the last few months- maybe longer- autocorrect has been killing me with the the substitutions.

Natives are the best, and cutest I think! I did just order these Crocs for J but midsized and they are way too big. We had done the "bump it" croc the past 2 years since they are easier to get on and off for water play at school with mulch. I also got some slides for around the house for j. |

lahdeedah - I use Dial on both boys daily. They still both stink by the end of the day if they were at all active, but at least I've avoided deodorant for the time being.

I do have some dial bar soap. They use the kids dial all in one body wash, but I may have to make M use the bar and see if that helps. It’s pretty hot here now a days, so he may just be sweating more. |

Ugh! Cs teacher just sent the plan for school tomorrow and it’s too much. He has his usual start and end Zooms, his small group ELA and Library. Then he has four assignments that need to be turned in, two video lessons to watch, and a writing assessment. How the hell am I supposed to work and get this all done! Not to mention the battles with C.
