Would the Grace Tranzitions work?
It looks like the harnessed booster goes to 120 lbs.

Luckily, I have a backup frontier seat that I can install for J in the new vehicle (and rental in the meantime). Now to decide what seats to get for the girls. GAH, why can't this be easier.

T is still sick and it’s been so hard on her. This is def the worst stomach bug I can remember any of my kids having? She basically has barely eaten since Tuesday night, and it’s Friday night. She has eaten some, and I’ve been able to keep her drinking.
I am so, so, so exhausted from dealing with her and H and M all day. And she has woken up 3x since bedtime 90 minutes ago, and I’ve dealt with every one. A is home, finally, but I’m upstairs so I’m closer so here I am.
Just brought her to our bed. A better sleep in the guest room.

Oh my goodness ovenrack! I know there has been a VERY bad stomach virus going around down here. Even though I was only puking for one day, it was by far the worst stomach virus I’d ever had, and it took a good 3 days to feel human again, and more like 4-5 to feel normal. Is she still throwing up? Keep an eye out for dehydration, remember the BRAT diet (banana, rice, apples, toast) of she feels like eating. And if she is still throwing up, I’d call her ped or go to urgent care and ask for reglan or zofran. And try to take cafe of yourself and rest as much as you can. (I know you know all of these things. But I can’t be there physically to help, so medical advice is all I have. Hugs.)

T’s terrible bout has ended with a bout of gas/trouble getting her gastro system back in gear. She was in such pain, screaming, couldn’t sleep, that I was literally packing a bag to take to the emergency room - when she finally farted etc a lot and got relief.
I hate the part of parenting where you’re in total charge of someone else’s health and they can’t fully articulate what’s wrong.
You go from feeling like an overreactor to a negligent parent, and back, SO QUICKLY.
She’s been eating a little and fully hydrated, no more pukes. I hope the worst of it is over. Lots of BRAT over here.
Thanks for all the kind words.

Oh my goodness, I'm glad she's feeling better ovenrack. I hope you both get a good sleep tonight. I know the feeling of wondering if you're over- or underreacting well, it's so easy to lose perspective in situations like that.

I hate the over/under reacting feeling so much. I am immensely grateful that our ER has always said “I’m glad that you came in” every single time I have taken anyone there for any reason.
And I am glad that T got out a good fart and is on the mend.

I’m so glad she is finally feeling better ovenrack. Some probiotics might be good to help re-establish that good bacteria!

Aww, poor T! I'm glad she's doing a bit better ❤️ And I agree, being in control of a child's medical course of action is so stressful!

I was recently diagnosed with ADHD. I never really felt that I struggled until after I went through treatment in 2019. The brain fog and attention problems never went away after that. So I’m not sure if that is even really ADHD? Anyway I started a new medication for it and it’s still early, but I do think it’s helping! And honestly it’s a huge relief. I can already feel my performance improving at work.

Is anyone getting worried about the delta variant and others in kids? The declining covid rate has flattened, people are resuming their regular lives and going unmasked, yet my kids aren't vaxxed and I have no idea when they will be.
I am grateful my state has a very high vaxx rate overall, but people are looking confused when I wear my mask in public. If they (my kids) are wearing it, I'm wearing it. UNVACCINATED PEOPLE ARE STILL SUPPOSED TO MASK.
I am living in cuckoo land.

ovenrack I am getting very nervous about the delta variant. I am masking everywhere and if people ask (and dickheads here do, all the time) I tell them I am masking because my kids are too young to be vaccinated and we will all be masking until they can be fully vaccinated. And I'm still very very rarely taking my kids anywhere. The only people they see are their dad, my parents, and my sisters family who all of them are over 12 and been fully vaccinated.

Totally agree. I still mask at stores with or without kids and unless my kids are outdoors, I ask they mask up.
I didn’t mask at my hair dresser/ waxing appointment this weekend. But that is the first time I’ve done that outside of dentist appointments. And even then it was only when I was in my chair.
Dance sent a notice that masks are optional. But we will have E mask up.

Personally, I'm not too worried. I don't let my kids go into risky places, like I won't fly with them, I'm not taking them to restaurants, etc. Our case count in Vermont has dropped low enough that the risk of them picking it up somewhere is very low. But the thing that made me the most comfortable was the research that showed that when fully vaccinated people (like me) do get a breakthrough case of covid, they usually have such low viral loads that they don't pass it along to family members. That paired with the low risk to children overall has made be feel very comfortable with the state of things. So I'm ok grocery shopping unmasked or going to a restaurant without children. Vermont also just hit 80% of folks 12+ have at least 1 shot. Which is amazing.
But I would never look askance at someone who wanted to continue wearing a mask. My childless friend is still wearing hers because she has just really enjoyed not getting sick for the last 1.5 years.

I bet I'm overanalyzing the looks I feel I get. It could all be in my head.
And I see a lot of unmasked kids, indoors. Ones who appear to be under twelve. That's the part that is weird to me.

I still mask everywhere indoors. None of the general public around here seems to agree with me, though.
We do take our kids out now that we are vaccinated (masked), but we try to avoid places that are indoor *and* requires us to be near people. Well, my kids do go to daycare right now. So there’s that.
We are looking forward to getting DS1 vaccinated as soon as it’s approved for six-year-olds (hopefully fall?).

I'm mentally preparing my kids to get 2 shots, because that's never been the case before. I was really hoping that J&J was going to come out for kids first. I'm 100% bribing them with doughnuts. And because there are two shots they get double doughnuts (one after each shot).

I will 100% have to bribe my kid to get any shot ever. It’s been a few years since he’s had one. We skipped the flu shot last year because he was hysterical about it.
