DH is so desperate for sports that we've been watching horse racing and the simulated Nascar racing. And we do not normally watch either. The boys are now watching WWE. Colin is in hysterics after DH explained it was scripted. I'm concerned about letting Chase see it though... Whoops.

Also I had just turned 12 when I got mine but my Mom had a nursing background - L&D actually - so I had been exposed to tons of books and knew all about it by probably 8.

I was 14 when I got my period. My mom and I have not discussed it to this day 😂

I tried to object earlier and C said “if you don’t like it you can go to your room and watch your videos”. So I did. It was glorious!

We just had an intense thunderstorm move through here. Our house was shaking. This month has been so creepy!

wedding, my dog Lily (border collie mix mutt) has always been a weirdo about licking. She goes to town when bathing and starts on her legs and next thing she's licking the furniture she's on. She used to do this occasionally, the last few days it's been overboard with gross wet spots left behind when she gets up. Any advice?

I don’t think I remember the age I was, but I think it happened as soon as we got back from getting my sister settled on campus at LSU. I think it was the year 2000, so I was just shy of 12. My mom never discussed anything with me either, but somehow I knew what it was and what was happening.

M has been such a moody beast lately. Just not good energy. He had been like that before all this started and it’s so much worse. I get it, but I think it’s time for a little tough love. I’m planning to hide all the toys in boxes in the garage only leaving puzzles and art stuff out. Also iPads will be hidden. This is probably crazy to do right now, but I need him to change his attitude ASAP. I will probably cave on the iPad mid week, but the toys will be away until next weekend.
Pray for me.
I am also breaking out the responsibility chart I have had for a year and not opened. 🤦🏽♀️I know there are some changes I can make day to day, too, so I will do my part.

To check you can give her Benadryl and see if it stops during that 6-8hrs after dosing. It’s 1mg per pound so a 50lb dog gets 50mg every 8-12 hours. Often these things start as an itch and then become habitual and self soothing. It could also just be anxiety. A lot has changed in her world too. Is she getting out enough? Having enough down time? They also do it out of boredom but given you all are home, I’m doubting that is the cause.

He watches dudes play video games. I’ve given him crap about it and he said that if golf was on he would much rather be watching that.

I have no idea when my period started. How do you all remember that? And I'm in denial that it could happen here in just a few years. Not ready for that! I was in Düsseldorf in a Christmas market with my parents, sisters and family friends. They bought me hot cocoa & I couldn’t swim the rest of the vacation, you don’t forget that. My dad took me out to dinner just the two of us the next week. It was a way to incorporate my dad into this very woman thing. Both my sister sort of looked forward to their first period, because they knew my da would take them out to dinner too. I love my dad/parents for doing this and plan on continuing this tradition . I remember being horrified that my dad probably knew I started mine. Unsure why!

Holy shit I thought it was Monday. This life is so disorienting. It feels like the Twlight Zone. I can no longer use being aware of time to help assess for psychosis. IDK why I laughed so hard at this.

kim22 I saw something on FB about freezing milk...I think people worried about being stuck in their house and this was an idea. Anyway, I think the higher the fat content, the less likely it is to taste normal when it thaws. Skim milk is likely to taste the same. I kind of remember my mom freezing milk when i was younger and it being fine. I have no idea when my period started. How do you all remember that? And I'm in denial that it could happen here in just a few years. Not ready for that! I was twelve and we were at church. I had the lead part in our Christmas play and went to go owe before our performance started. I also remember the first time I had discharge. I was ten and we were finishing dinner at a restaurant. I was alarmed because I had no idea what it was and when I got back to our table I pulled my mom aside and told her I had a very embarrassing emergency. I told her “I have snot coming out of my butt.”

I never agree with Trump but I’m wishing he locked down my city. My parents are not getting the stay at home order. My dad commented on how my mom has a Costco in their basement right now. Then they went to Costco. When I asked what they needed, my mom said “grandma said she wished she had a chocolate bar.” Really mom? That was worth a Costco trip when we are adding almost 50 new cases a day here? My stepmom went out last week just to buy Peeps.

Glad Misty is doing better, peachsmama. Re: period stuff, my family was always pretty open about that. My dad bought me supplies when I needed them. I remember bleeding on my sheets and clothes and him laundering it like NBD.🤷♀️ The kids never let me pee in peace so they see my bloody pads and I have explained in very basic terms what’s going on with it.
