My head boss sent an email yesterday that said starting Monday, we are to provide him with a document stating what work we've done daily.
I'm.....very annoyed by this.
The funny thing is he sent it to 2 of our attorneys. They legit don't have shit to do right now so I'm interested to see what they come up with for their daily tasks.

Work this morning was quick. Not sure what’s on the agenda today. I think I’m going to reorganize and purge the laundry room cabinets. If not today, then tomorrow.

We have a team meeting each day where we have to say what we completed. We have a slack channel just us hourlies that make fun of it because our bosses never tell us what they do. So we know this is justifying us getting paid. |

Made some blueberry pancakes. I had mashed a banana in them as well, since it was ripe and I didn't want to just throw it away. As Cadence was plowing through her pancakes I asked if she could taste the banana. She immediately stopped eating and said she didn't like the banana in them. 🤦 I should have just kept my mouth shut. Ha. I had an uncle who ‘hated’ onion, mushrooms and garlic, but loved—for example—my mom’s lasagna which had all 3 in the sauce 🤦🏻♀️ As long as he wasn’t aware of those ingredients in something, he’d eat it happily and rave about it. I puree my spaghetti sauce when I'm serving it to my brother for this reason. |

Just finished my 3 papers and now to play with the kids. During the kids nap time I’ll start my test. After nap time Zumba. Pray this works or I’m out of ideas for PE. #idont wanttogooutside

Ha. I informed him that the green eggs I make is with spinach and the grilled cheese pizza I make also has spinach. He took a bite and said oh I guess I do like spinach now. |

I hate that you all have bosses that are being such assholes right now. Last week I lead an hour call with my kids literally screaming in the background and occasionally sticking their faces into the camera. I just kept going and everyone on the call was understanding.
Our company has openly stated that there will be no layoffs this year and have focused as much on keeping a good work/life balance as on providing tips for working at home. Our business group leader - our CEO before the acquisition - actually spoke to us about balance with his own kids in and out of frame. I'm feeling incredibly fortunate right now.
DH's company did recall their recent raises, but as he put it, he'd rather they take 2% away than start firing people. I don't have much faith in his company NOT to do that eventually, but he's been there for 20 years and would be massively expensive to let go. Not to mention that he's absorbed enough from prior layoffs that I don't think there's any fat to trim in his group. FX that I'm right.

Legends of the guardians. I’m really surprised they liked enough to rewatch. I wasn’t really paying attention so I’m not sure what it’s really about. M has watched Stargirl, Zombies & Zombies 2 on Disney+. We tried High School Musical for the 2nd time last night. The first time she gave up within the first few minutes. H has been really into watching Kim possible |

chrisy01 it's funny you mentioned Disney Zumba because I just saw an article about it last night. I did a couple this morning before my Zoom TKD workout. They highlighted what a pathetic, no rhythm, white girl dancer I am. Go Noodle has good dance videos for the kids.

We went for a drive today to a farm place that sells awesome donuts. They advertised their Covid friendly no-touch pickup. We're obviously not the only ones who saw the ad because the car line is huge. But what else are we gonna do?🤷♀️
Last night I watched The Sound of Music in it's entirety. And yes, I sang along. Only a monster wouldn't.

I've got a Walmsrt cart started for random stuff including Easter things. They are both getting tool kits that I've had put back from Amazon for a while. I'm ordering a foam baseball bat and ball kit.
My SFFC is that I saw Lucky Charms marshmallows (just the marshmallows) on Walmart's site and they're currently sitting in my cart.

inthekitty we got the foam baseball bat and balls last year and they love them! Target had some very cute and cheap coloured gloves last year too  .

inthekitty I love The Sound of Music. I have the cutest video ever of a 2 y.o. Caroline standing in front of the TV singing and dancing to the Lonely Goatherd number. We made an impromptu decision to hit up a local park that is known for cherry blossoms and a camellia garden. They had the playground, etc. shut down but the park itself was open and fairly empty. So we walked the loop and had a CFA picnic. Felt almost normal! There was a couple having their wedding photos taken...looked like parents and a couple attendants were with them. Hate to think of their (likely cancelled) wedding celebration but at least they'll have beautiful pics. Now the kids are in the (freezing) pool and DH is doing a couple projects in the backyard.

My boss wasn't overkill this week but borderlining in dick territory. He sent some email about people not responding to emails quick enough. If he meant me he can bite me. I'm the only person with young kids at home, so yes, the first day navigating WFH/schooling/parenting was hectic. I still got everything done and my productivity is WAY above everyone else on my team.
Not to mention we have people who don't have laptops so they are getting paid to not work. So be appreciative of those picking up the slack.

We spent the morning after the tap class re-organizing and rearranging the playroom and the living room. We moved a ton of toys down into the basement, either ready for resale or donation or (depending on how long this goes on) swapping out some of the kids don’t get bored.
The playroom has a lot more space now. We have this sort of blocked out space that I want to create a window seat with storage. I am not handy, but I’m pretty sure we could figure something like this out over the summer.

Zumba was a partial hit so we will do it again. I enjoyed it as well so at least it will keep me active as well. Next day is Monday.

I think with the exceptional amount of screentime in our future we should start a post about favorite movies/tv shows for the kids. We are all looking for new distractions these days and I'm out of ideas. Although now they are watching the Lion Witch and the Wardrobe and seem to like it.

He's an awesome instructor and a really nice guy (and now that I've started watching The Office also a doppelganger for BJ Novak). These workouts are also great for adults and will get you sweating. We had a vet out to the farm today. My pony has had a wound forever that we've never been able to heal. I had a younger vet come out because although I love him, I think my old vet is losing his touch. She did a full exam and says misty is in great shape otherwise but the wound is most likely cancer. She was able to really examine it because she's a woman. Misty hates men. And she found the stem where it starts. The stem is so large we cant have it removed because they could never get it closed. If we can get it shrunk down and can get her to let us keep it covered, she may have another year. If she wont let us cover it, or keep the cover on, we'll have to put her down soon... if flies/maggots get on it this summer she'll have infections and the vet doesn't think we could stop it at that point. So I gave both ponys good scrub downs and got misty all covered. I'll go up in the morning and see how she did with it. Shes also on antibiotics. She's 27 but I'm not ready to lose her yet.. here's my old girl.  |

My child was crying because she wanted our pizza delivered and not have mh go pick it up. It took a bit for her to calm down, but it ended up she felt like mh might get in trouble because we aren't allowed to go places right now.
I explained that it's ok for picking food up, we just aren't allowed to go to restaurants and sit and eat.
So many emotions today. She also cried because the cats messed up the zoo she had set up.
