My child was crying because she wanted our pizza delivered and not have mh go pick it up. It took a bit for her to calm down, but it ended up she felt like mh might get in trouble because we aren't allowed to go places right now. I explained that it's ok for picking food up, we just aren't allowed to go to restaurants and sit and eat. So many emotions today. She also cried because the cats messed up the zoo she had set up. I think we're going to see a lot of random emotional days from our kiddos. Yesterday started out that way with mine. It's hard for them to make sense of everything.

Aww, poor Misty peachsmama . klong11 Poor C. Hope she feels better tomorrow. Emotions have definitely been a bit closer to the surface here lately with B. I think it's probably a manifestation of the change/stress/etc. I know he misses his friends and school--I think he enjoyed the first couple days of being home but the newness has long since worn off.

I’m sorry, @peach! I hope she lets you keep it covered! Thanks, inthekitty! Josie’s class has zoom meetings but it’s always good to have other things to do!

wedding the more you describe C, M seems like the female version of him. She shuns pajamas and would hang out all day in her underwear if we let her.

Today was rainy. DH did curbside pick up from a local burger place. The kids usually take this for granted but they were so excited. We did movie night and watched Onward. C asks 100 times a day to go potty but hasn’t actually peed yet. I put him in pull ups yesterday for the first time and he immediately visited each member of the family and dropped his pants to show off his new diaper (including DH who was on a video work call at the time).
DD was watching a show on Disney Channel today and the girls were talking about getting their period. I wasn’t prepared for that on Disney channel.

Someone was just complaining about the episode on a local moms group. She was upset her 9 yr old was learning about a period for the first time and bc the episode was about having an accident, she was afraid it would spike her daughter’s anxiety. She was not met with much sympathy.

Not at all directed at you Kim. I cant recall how old you dd is.

We were at my grandparents cottage with all my aunt's, uncle's, cousins, ect and she started screaming from the bathroom that there was blood everywhere! Not an ideal place to start.

Peach, Misty is adorable. I'm sorry she's not well. Is 27 pretty old for a horse? I don't know much about horses.

I wasn’t against her seeing the episode, my kids have seem much more than that on tv, but had it been something we needed to discuss, she wasn’t watching it at a time when that was possible. I was in the middle of a test for my class. She’s been watching shows like that since she was 6. I wouldn’t have wanted her to see it then. It was just unexpected.

C watches Disney channel shows sometimes. Don't want to have to talk to him about periods.

Peach, Misty is adorable. I'm sorry she's not well. Is 27 pretty old for a horse? I don't know much about horses. Depends who you ask. They can live to 40 but not often because riding them wears their body out. But misty never gets ridden (mostly because she hates it lol) so it wouldn't be a stretch for her to make it to 30-35 if not for the cancer.

Has anyone ever frozen milk before? My gallon of milk partially froze because it was stuffed in the back of a very packed fridge. Now that it is defrosted, it seems to be curtailing very quickly. I’m afraid to use it but also not wanting to waste it because of the shelter in place. The date is April 5.

I’ve seen people say you can freeze milk kim22, but I haven’t tried it. Other than meat and actual frozen products, I don’t freeze much bc I never think it tastes the same/as good defrosted.

We tend to be late bloomers in my family...I didn’t start my period til just shy of 15 and my mom and sister were similar. Not ready to deal with that in 5 years 😳 so hopefully the pattern continues!
It was something my mom was fairly open about so I plan to be the same, but don’t know that I want to hear about it on Disney even as an adult lol.

Morning. It's another rainy day so we'll be trying to keep busy indoors. I should clean a bit since we're obviously not having the cleaners come in. I'm trying to keep Colin from overdoing the educational apps on the weekend since we let him have free range during the week. I don't want him to burn out while we need him interested in online learning.
I can't believe this has only been going on for a couple weeks, normalcy seems so far away. I'm trying to keep up with the news but it's so scary. And so many people are still in denial, which is only going to make this last longer. It's frustrating. And we're all still getting along (so far).

I don’t want to intentionally freeze it, just wondering if the curtailing is normal after it froze itself. My city is up to 132 cases of Corona so I would like to not go out ever.

Will we just have a day we can wake up and go fully back to our old lives? The GAP is feeling optimistic I guess. They send me a coupon good in stores only from April 1-4.
