MH went out yesterday to clean the deck. He used compressed air on the sliders’ grooves and got something in his eye. He’s a disaster but pushed through yesterday but it’s so bad now has to go to the ophthalmologist to fix the issues. Unfortunately his dr.office is closed so he has to meet at the hospital. He’s freaking out (understandably) about covid and putting himself in germs’ way. This is going to be a long few days for everyone.

Morning.
I’m at work. We had one patient and I’ll be out in 30 minutes. I was planning to take the boys to a park with a walking trail today just to get them out of the neighborhood and the nurse that works with me said they closed all the parks near us. Boo. I know it’s for the best, but I just wanted to get them on the trail for a change of scenery. If the park looked busy, of course we wouldn’t have gotten out.
I didn’t make a grocery run yesterday, so I’ll be hitting up Costco when I leave because apparently they are starting to limit meat and stuff at the grocery stores and hearing you guys talk about chicken shortages, I want to be sure we have some on hand. Fx Costco is stocked.

It took me 5 hours to clean our 1700sq ft house yesterday. Of course I have C “helping” for over an hour and dh not helping at all so it took a lot longer. I also found that while I love my cleaning person she does not get into all the nooks and crannies I do. I am sore today.
No plans today really. I think I need to find a book to lose myself in. It’s been hard concentrating though.

Oh my wineallthetime! I hope she’s doing better soon. We got home from our trip late last night (midnight). We left a day early because everything was closing and we didn’t want to be around people anyway. Hindsight we shouldn’t have gone. And I tried talking MH into canceling before we left but we couldn’t get a refund at that point ($2500). And things weren’t quite as dire at that point, although they were headed there quick. And he was insistent that we “continue to live our lives, just more cautiously “. We did practice social distancing. Spent most of our time on the beach where everyone there did great about keeping distance (not like the spring breakers/partiers you saw on tv) and at our villa by ourselves which was right on the water with a private dock. And we took extra precautions while traveling, cleaning things well when touching anything like door handles and gas pumps, etc. So now we are holed up in our house and trying to get unpacked and settled into a new routine.

I scored some chicken, chicken nuggets, carnitas pork at Costco. They were out of ground beef and you could only buy one carton of eggs. I then went to our regular grocery. Still no bread and I barely snagged tortillas. I will try to get up early one day this week to go in as they open so I can check for bread.

DH was able to get some flour so the freezer is jammed with muffins. wedding - My parents are okay. I cancelled my trip this past week and we likely will cancel our family trip in a few weeks. They are surrounded by people not taking this seriously - comparing it to the flu vs. the Spanish flu in terms of danger - which really pisses my Mom off. As she says, her time with my Dad is limited, she'd prefer not to further shorten it. They're understandably worried that things may not get back to normal in time for my Dad to enjoy it. I've worried about the same thing, so I get it.

It's so interesting to hear what people can't get in their areas. Ours is paper towels and napkins. We currently have 1 roll of paper towels and are using party napkins that we have leftover from Cadence's birthday.
I got a whole chicken and some leg quarters this morning(there was a limit of 2 items per meat category), but I'm taking it to my mom tomorrow when I go to pick up Cadence. I'm also taking her some fruit, canned goods and shelf stable snacks so she doesn't need to go out.
When I went this morning I went to the smaller store option. They were letting people in 10 at at a time. It went quick and everyone was very friendly. Plus, they were better stocked.
When I got home mh freaked out on me saying unnecessary outings are not allowed. I told him if I don't get out of the house each day I'll go crazy. Yesterday I didn't even want to get off the couch. Don't mess with my mental well being!

Here we had a hunt to find yeast yesterday. Third store was a charm so cinnamon rolls were made.
Today I don't think we'll go out except for a walk. It's gorgeous.
Big parks here are blocked off but our small neighborhood park isn't. We won't let the girls go if there are many kids there and we don't have sanitizer on hand.

Cass is a spitfire this morning. She grabbed my middle finger and said "you do this one to Trump." Meaning flip him off. 😆 Can't disagree with that.

Just so we're clear, I agree that unnecessary outings should not be happening. This was me going and getting food to take to my mom tomorrow, though, so I didn't find it unnecessary. I don't want my mom going out, the I will help any way I can.

I don't want my mom going out, the I will help any way I can. I would not see that as unnecessary. I went to target on Friday to get some medicine (OTC). While there I picked up a few more items so we won’t go insane. I think your trip was important so your mom doesn’t go out. Who I’m assuming is high risk.

I’ve been going through all of E’s clothes and after nap will finish and then go through L’s. Working on laundry and dishes. I’ve already vacuumed the living room and I’ll maybe try to mop the floors downstairs.
I’m just trying to get as much done today before the workweek starts.

Hey. I took the girls outside around lunch time for an hour and now DH has them out around the neighborhood. I tried to give him Lysol to take with for when the girls inevitably want to go to the park but he refused. Our neighborhood is doing a “bear hunt” where people put teddy bears in windows for the kids to find/count. I’m enjoying the solo time on the couch watching tv. I have not been productive at all this weekend.

My neighborhood is doing the bear hunt as well.
We all still have to have food to eat. I don't plan on going to the store again for at least a week. And I picked up Mexican tonight from our normal place.
I was thinking how I didn't want to work tomorrow then told myself to shut up...I have a job I can do from the safety of my own home. Many people don't.
