Terrible Thursday

lahdeedah no, I wasnt expecting it. I went because my primary wanted me off the reflux meds. Since the barium swallow came back "ok" and when the scope was done they said it looked normal, so I was expecting them to say it was nothing and to try and wean off the meds again.

cagoldi idk how I feel just yet. Family response has been, "darn. Hope it's not cancer" and, "hey, maybe that's what's causing you to gain the excess weight." Oh and mh got pizza and cheese sticks for dinner. I can't eat that!! So for today, I'm feeling very alone and unsupported.

I'll know more on March 31st after my follow up. I'll do my blood work before then so they have it in time for the appt.

klong11 sorry you have to wait so long for the follow up appt. From what I understand about barretts is that you can live for a long, long time without it progressing. One of my friends was diagnosed with Barrett’s and it’s actually resolved. I hope that’s the case for you.

Work was super busy, we had a ton of people walk in to be seen tonight. This was my 6th shift training the new girl and it seems to me like she’s hardly retaining anything I have taught her. Super frustrating. I know for sure she’s with me next week and that weekend so hopefully she puts a little more effort into trying to remember things before she’s done.

I think it was a returned gift for my, and we don't shop there that much. I am the opposite with gift cards, I often hold onto them for the "perfect" thing. I think we still have a couple from William Sonoma and Crate and Barrel from our wedding 🙈

I’m sorry klong11. I hate that you are in limbo until the end of March. Health issues can feel so isolating. There was a thread not long ago on GD about chronic health issues and it was nice to read about others and feel less alone. I’m sorry you have to wait so long and that they dumped this much info on you with out a closer follow up date. Did you get a sense of what kind of diet you should follow until that point? I’m also happy to help with any gf tips. Big hugs to you!

That's a lot to take on klong11. I hate that you have to wait so long for any true confirmation but I hope your family gets their butts in gear and support you, no matter what.
