Thanks, all, for the moral support. My sister did email and apologize a little while ago, which I appreciate. I’m just not quite ready to pick up where we left off. Ahh, sisters 🤪 cagoldi big hugs. You are doing great. I hope you will extend yourself some grace if/when you get down about things.

Hi Ladies! I was busy this morning and finally got a chance to check in now... Let's see if I can remember all my thoughts peachsmama nooooo!! I hope you recover quickly and that no one else gets it. I also hope A is helping a lot since you are sick too lfig that's tough, I'm glad she's ok now. cagoldi - man you are nicer than me. I would be too terrified to bring all those germs into my house. Also, your feelings about P make perfect sense. flamingo - glad you have an action plan and I'm sure it will all go smoothly. That's great that your mom is going to come help. Sorry about your sister, I hope whatever she's going through subsides and things improve. I'm pretty much always on the verge of being dehydrated because I suck at drinking water and nursing. So after vomiting for a few hours, my body just gave out. I passed out on the bathroom floor at 10pm. I guess as I was going down I told A to call my mom. She came down and I was unresponsive. They got me awake and up within a few minutes. But Alex has told me at least a dozen times that I scared him and he was ready to call 911. My mom stayed the night because MJ only wanted him and she helped me. And then at 2 am Matthew came out of his room vomiting. A went to work at 4 am like normal but just to get his crew working and get through some meetings. He came home at 10. I had to do payroll so he ran my deposits and my mom stayed with me and Matthew. He took the other 2. Now he's getting it.. this thing is no joke. I'm past the bathroom part of it but I'm just drained. I can't walk far without seeing spots. Awful. I’m sorry.

Well, got the pathology back from my endoscopy. They think I may have a possible gluten allergy, I'll be getting bloodwork done to rule out celiac disease. And they discovered I have Barrett's esophagus, which will require routine endos to make sure the cells don't change into precancer cells. I have to schedule a follow up so he can explain everything further. It was a lot to digest(no pun intended) just reading it all from the patient portal.

guster +1 on the gym idea. I *loved* taking tennis lessons this past fall. I put off starting up b/c time, expense, etc., but it was fun, just for me, and I loved the workout and learning something new. I'm taking a break from it right now due to DH's flying schedule but can't wait to get back into it once things calm down a bit. peachsmama Yikes, that sounds scary. Really hope it's out of your household soon.

That’s awful peachsmama. I got noro when S was still nursing and it was so bad that it ended up making my supply go way down. Try to drink as much water and Gatorade as you can. flamingo sorry about the fight. I hope whatever is bothering your sister is resolved soon so you can get back to your regular relationship status. cagoldi sorry about clingy P. I hope she’s able to become more independent soon. Is she the same way at daycare?

The gym sounds like a great idea, guster. The boys are so darn cute today. They’re downstairs working on a “secret present.” A few minutes ago, they brought me an apple and Hershey’s kisses because I “like to eat healthy.” 😂

The rental I got is a Toyota Sienna. The ports for Apple CarPlay to work in Toyotas is awful. I didn’t find it in the last rental until one of the last few days and I can’t find it in this one yet. I let S skip nap today because I just wasn’t in the mood to force it, plus I work tonight so DH can deal with the before bed crabbiness.

Hi hi - decent day so far, about to head out to start the schlep home. I saw the article about Evenflo big kid booster seats being total crap for side impact and realized that's what we have for j in mh's car. My cousin said the maxi Cosi rodifix is awesome and she's a carseat tech and just got one for her daughter, so I just ordered one...and used a Macy's gift card from 2010(!!) that covered most of it I'm so proud of myself for finally using it on something I really didn't want to pay for.

I’m sorry flamingo. I was just discussing with a friend about anxiety and how it can boil over and cause us to lash out at the people we love. Will her personal issues resolve at some point? Either way you can be there for her but protect yourself, which is what you are doing and why you are a great sister and friend.

cagoldi can Pete take her for a few days/nights to give you a break? There is nothing worse than feeling trapped but it is ok to feel that way. Hopefully you can get a breather from it for a bit. @peachesmama I’m glad someone was home for you. How scary! lahdeedah do you have other prospects if you have to jump ship?

My anxiety today is focused on C and him having a hard time with sight words, spelling, and reading. He’s way over the standard for math but decently below for the above items. I’ve tried working with him at home but it’s been a struggle. I have a meeting with his teacher tomorrow morning to get an idea of where he is at in relation to the group.
I also want to see how his behavior has been since he’s come home with a few stories that sound sketchy and he makes stuff up a lot so I never know the truth.

Is this what they suspected or is it a total surprise to you? Hopefully he can answer all your questions at the follow up and get you on the right track health-wise.

I haven’t looked elsewhere yet. A few months back the nurse I work with mentioned a dc her friend uses that is super close to my house. I’m sure with all the kids jumping ship, the daycares around me must having long wait lists now.

I am still trying to find a babysitter for S when I go back to work. I posted on the buy, sell, trade site....not my preferred method but desperate times call for desperate measures. I had a parent who also has a son in Kdg message me. I don’t know her but I wasn’t impressed upon my FB stalking. But I hate to judge a book by its cover so I messaged S’s teacher. Knowing she might not be able to tell me anything...but I figured if it was good she’d say so and if not she wouldn’t say anything. I had messaged her on the school’s message app. She said she couldn’t say anything because of confidentiality.....then she FB messaged me and said NO...DON’T DO IT! Lol. That’s all I needed to know! Still searching!

We have 2 or 3 in my area and I’ve found some people off of that before. I know you’re in a super rural area so the options may be more limited

I think most, if not all, of us are guilty of it at some point--subconsciously it's easier to take out your frustrations on loved ones b/c they 'have' to love you.
