I keep finding small Christmas crap that wasn't put away...like the advent calendar and the singing snowman. Just found a small snowman Cadence made from a craft kit under the couch the other day.

eta: nam2013 that's a good one about flavored coffees, I don't care for them either. I drink regular coffee with cream/sugar, or maybe a cappuccino if I'm out and want to splurge. I like to try the newest flavored coffee out there. The independent coffee shop in our town just added an oat milk latte with lavender to their board — that’s on my to do list for Friday. And it’s the same with most of the new Starbucks drinks. I like to try them with half the syrup, and I wish they could just give me the a size (maybe half of the tall) to just satisfy my curiosity. But black coffee will always be my go to and what I enjoy the most. Unless it’s Mexican restaurant guacamole made in front of me, i’d always rather have chopped avocado with salt and or salt and lime

Sierra has a snow day today. I found her admiring the snow from the laundry room window 😂... So we went outside and played in the snow.

My girls still listen to Christmas music. All the Christmas décor is long gone except for the wreath. I'm justifying that it's winter décor. I used to think I never wanted a big house. Now I have a big house (3000 sq ft) and I love it. So much space. But I wouldn't want a massive house. When I see people on House Hunters insisting they need 5000 sq ft for their family of 4 I get very perplexed. Our target is 3000 SF, give or take. I think that is large enough, gives you nice-sized public spaces, but gives everyone room to spread out. But not so large that we'd be rattling around. I *like* spending time with my family, haha. I looked at one last night that was 3600 and it feels too big (and 700 sf of that space is a bonus room that would have to be our guest room, so...huge waste of heating/cooling and space).

guster I'm on episode 7 of You're the Worst. Thanks for the recommendation. There is something about Jimmy Shive Overly’s personality that I find so attractive. Maybe it’s the “don’t give a shit” attitude anything.

Also I had B's allergist/immunologist appt this morning. I just love him. I felt so... heard. He really listened to my concerns and tried to troubleshoot what the issues are. tgrimes I want to fly you and H up here if nothing else to have someone acknowledge this is not ok. Anyway he ran a whole allergy panel again to see if something random might be causing a flare up (like he have no cat but maybe a classmate does and hugs him a lot so he tested for that). Everything except peanuts came back negative so he ran a blood panel for immunology stuff. He discussed a bunch of possible outcomes and said to call him next monday to discuss. He also said the peanut came back only slightly reactive so he ran a blood panel and was hopeful he's growing out of it! I don't know if I'll get answers but I'm happy he's taking our concerns seriously.

guster I'm on episode 7 of You're the Worst. Thanks for the recommendation. Season three is the weakest. If you can push through that, season four is so beautifully perfect. We haven’t started 5 yet (it’s the final season and I just don’t want the show to end so I keep pushing it off.)

flamingo yes on the Christmas decorations! Oh and songs! Come on people, the season to be jolly is over by now 😉! I am ashamed to admit that my wreath and a sign that says joy is still on our front “porch”. I don’t have just a plain evergreen wreath right now and I don’t know if I want straight eucalyptus to tide me over until the spring.

The girls are going to TKD parents-night-out tomorrow night. They wanted to invite friends so last week I sent them home with notes and our phone number. No return calls. *sigh* It's so hard to set up activities for the kids now. They notes are probably buried in their friends' backpacks. I gave Dude what I call my “mom business card” with my phone number for this reason. He probably never used them. There are kids I secretly hope he doesn’t give them to at all.

UO's (or maybe not, IDK). I am so tired of reading about Harry and Meghan/Megxit. Exterior christmas decorations and PUMPKINS should be down by now (looking at you, people in my neighborhood). And they should DEFINITELY not co-exist. Personally, I'd rather have a smaller house but be able to furnish/decorate it nicely, than buy the biggest house I can afford but have plain and/or empty rooms <-- this brought to you by my perusal of endless homes in north FL. eta: nam2013 that's a good one about flavored coffees, I don't care for them either. I drink regular coffee with cream/sugar, or maybe a cappuccino if I'm out and want to splurge. I love M&H but quite done talking about The Who stepping down thing. Old news at this point. Nope- pumpkins and Christmas trees don’t go. ABSOLUTELY TO THE HOUSE OPINION. (Not yelling, just emphasizing)☺️ +1 to the flavor coffee. I will occasionally get a caramel cuz caramel is the best.

Saying we're coming off as ignorant because not everyone here knows exactly where in Canada you live? Poor choice of words, for sure. No one thinks you live in the entire country, but how are we supposed to know how rules/laws are made there?

When I originally asked you that, you hadn't said it was a paper sign. The people responding literally thought it was like the student driver signs we have here. You said it was because of the weather and as far as I know, Canada is cold as fuck and all of it has snow. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

If I saw someone with a piece of paper that had "new driver" written on it. Then I would just be like wtf? and move on. Your UO seemed to state that this was more than just a one off, like a regular thing. Thus, the questioning of if it was a Canada thing, like is this a thing that people in Canada, whatever region, does. It is not a U.S. thing. Not just not here in Texas, where I live, but as a whole, a U.S. thing. Asking if it is a Canada thing is not ignorant.

Not speaking for her, but I know I hate to be called ignorant. It’s like if someone was calling me stupid. I know- it’s a me thing. Now because I “know”you, I know you didn’t mean it that way, but it did make me feel a way when I read it. Again, I know it may just be a me thing. We didn’t mean any harm or negativity when we called it a Canada thing. If you see these signs where you are, I think it can be safe to assume you may see them on the other side of Canada, too.

Yes, I see the papers on the cars regularly that state 'new driver'. that's neat that you would look away, I look away as well but hence my UO that I dont understand why they have it and it doesnt change the way i treat them as a driver on the road. Saying that my one thing as a UO is a whole country thing comes off as ignorant to me, to you it doesn't, cool. But I stand by my feelings on it and it's great to see that my feelings are coming off as rude.

I forgot to put our elf away with all the Christmas decor and now he's stashed in my underwear drawer b/c I am too lazy to go up in the attic. So every time I go to get underwear out I am weirded out/reminded all over again. Maybe tomorrow...
