I’ve been looking forward to this day. No work for me so I have the house to myself. Too bad I have a few loads of laundry to do, but at least I can do it while I catch up on some shows.

Enjoy your day lahdeedah! This week has been crazy. The new LEAN procedures implemented last week have my calendar full of stupid meetings, that people don't stay on task during, and take up my entire day. Last night I was making white chicken chili in my instant pot and I burned the shit out of my hand on chicken broth. I still have red spots on my hand this morning. Then I brought a container of leftover soup for lunch and the broth all spilled on my red wool jackets. I rinsed it in the sink at work and put a bit of Dawn on it, so I guess I need to find a dry cleaner on my way home tonight. I don't own dry clean only things for this reason. |

We're having a baby shower for our receptionist today. I'm really looking forward to ordering food in. My coworker and I always split fish tacos & a steak salad. Best of both worlds.

Hi ladies. Hmm, UOs. Nothing earthshattering. The Joker sucked and was very overrated, and yes, I'm not uncultured swine who "doesn't get it." I got it, it was boring and sucked. It was much better when it was called A Beautiful Mind. And I don't get the avocado hype--I guess it's not as much of a craze now. Avocados are okay. Nothing amazing and worth putting on everything or paying extra for at restaurants.

Ohhhh UO's I have so many.....
I think that it is absolutely ridiculous when there is a 'New Driver' sign on cars. I don't give a shit, you're here and at the same standards as me and every other person on the road. What makes this EVEN worse is when it's a brand new car, whether it's a Kia or a Lexus I don't care, if you are worried about your driving then I suggest you get a jalopy.

Sitting at my desk. Officemate texted me last night all stressed out because her son had a fever and after everything that went down yesterday she was afraid she was going to get fired. This should not be our instant thought when our kids are sick, "are we going to have a job after this". That's not ok. And no, she would never get fired over that.
I had a dentist appointment this morning. I wised up and made it later in the morning so that it wouldn't be a rush to get Cadence to school and then get to the dentist office. Cadence had pajama day at school, so she literally rolled out of bed and just needed to brush her hair and teeth. Yet somehow we were later than we've ever been. I got her there just before the late bell. WTF kid?
Dentist appointment went ok. He was taking out a filling to redo it and make it bulkier because the space between the teeth was too wide and I was getting food caught in it every time I ate anything. So I'm at work now with just half a face working. Since it was an upper tooth the numbing has gone all the way up to my lower eyelid. So weird.

vino, I steer clear of the "be patient, student driver" cars, but yeah, "new driver" tells me they have their license and should be able to fully function as a normal person while driving.

Once, unrelated to anything dental, my lower eyelid twitched for over a month. The guy at Party City asked me if I was ok. Clearly I am stressed and dealing with a lack of sleep, just ring up the damn Ariel headband so I can be on my way!!! |
