I really like the idea of bedrooms being separated from community areas. My SIL’s old house had a set up I really liked. You walked in and the formal living and dining rooms were to your left and right with a staircase straight ahead. There was a short hallways to the left of the stairs that had 2 doors in it, one was the powder room and the other was the master suite. Then straight ahead was the family room with the kitchen and breakfast nook off to the right. Upstairs there was another room that they used for a media room then there was a catwalk to the 3 upstairs bedrooms and bathroom. Right now you can see 75% of my upstairs from the front door: living room, dining room, into the kitchen, and into the master bedroom. I want more privacy (and people not to see a mess in my kitchen immediately). That does sound like a good plan. I get what you mean about wanting more privacy. I think that has gotten so popular in new-builds--and I'm sure the builders love it, it's cheap and easy to not put up any walls! Our house now--typical ranch--is much more closed off. If it was mine I would definitely take down the wall b/n the kitchen and family room and put a peninsula/breakfast bar there. Down home we call the bedroom separation a "three-way split"...so the master is off on one side, kids bedrooms together in another area, and the guest room in a third wing. Our last plan was like that and it was great, so I am hopeful we can find that again. I could talk houses all day, lol. re: *too* open-concept homes, I read this blog post recently and really liked her ideas. Some nice fixes to close things back up. Thanks for the link. I took a quick look but I’ll look more when I have a little more time.

M has bronchitis — he’ll be home tomorrow. I told him we’ll binge watch Cheer on nextflix! Somehow I’m more excited about it than he is. 🤷🏻♀️

I guess it's because I have fat thighs that end up with chafing when i wear a dress with nothing under, that makes me cringe at the thought of wearing them daily. Add to it shaving regularly and it's a no from me. I shave my legs once a week. Same. And no matter what I do they go between my legs when I walk and I hate that.

Team all the dresses in the summer. I seriously rotated 5 old Navy swing dresses the last 4 months of this pregnancy. So comfortable.
Team zero dresses in the winter. I wear black jeans most days with booties and oversized sweaters. Regular jeans on Fridays.. I also have too many pairs, I now buy cheaper jeans but somehow can't throw out my old designer jeans from my 20s..all jean styles seem to come back in style, so I guess it's not horrible if I still fit in them. I have disposed of all my ultra low rise Abercrombie ones though and super boot cut ones from the buckle🙈

The best. Lol. My best friend from college used to say this. She loves fresh sheets and freshly shaven legs. She swears it is the best.

I’m team I hardly ever wear dresses. I’m just much more comfortable in pants/shorts. I feel like I never look put together in a dress. Either my hair isn’t right, or don’t have the right accessories, or shoes. I probably buy a new dress every spring or summer because I want to try to wear them more and go to put it on and take it right back off to change into shorts or jeans. Never fails.
I also only shave my legs once or twice a week. The hair on my legs does not grow fast and is sparse, so there’s no need to shave it every day. If I’m wearing a dress, they have to be freshly shaven though. Just doesn’t feel right. It’s weird.

Ugh....i reset my satellite dish about a half hour ago because it’s been kinda pixelated and that’s one of the things google told me to do. Well now it can’t seem to “find” the signal and won’t come back on. Meanwhile I’m missing the beginning of the Grey’s/Station 19 return.

I also have a ton of jeans that I won’t let go. They are still in great shape, and a little too big. I was hoping to be back in them one day. I’m now into the higher waisted denim though and slowly replacing pairs. Not sure if I’ll ever go back to low rise, so I could probably start getting rid of the older pairs.

I just busted my ass on the front steps when going out to put wood in the fire. I’m pretty sore now. I took some Motrin, and am dreading how it will feel in the morning. But for now, a heating pad is my friend. I’m also binge watching Dead to me. I’m enjoying it. I tried Spinning out but couldn’t get into it. Also tried The Circle with the same results. I will need a new show tomorrow... I need to get back to work...I’m becoming quite the worthless housewife 😂. MH is going to be home tomorrow after a week away and wonder what the hell I’ve done all week! Lol. I had big aspirations of organizing this week...whoops! Ouch! I hope you feel better. I’m watching season 2 of Sex Education. Not child appropriate but very good.

I wear a dress or skirt at least once a week. More in the summer. In the winter I’ll wear tights or high boots and I won’t wear them on days under 30degrees because I have to walk from the garage to work.
I’m trying to really enjoy being thin and showing it off a bit just in case it doesn’t last of my general looks just take a turn as I age.

And seriously I’ve walked trough the Grand Canyon in a dress, it can be done 😉. I have simple bodycon black/navy/striped dresses, that look very casual and a little sporty .

Add to it shaving regularly and it's a no from me. I shave my legs once a week. I rarely wear dresses either. Winter I’m jeans or jeggings daily. Lately I’m into the colored ones - I feel they make me look more polished than regular jeans. I am hippy and have a large rear. I feel dresses usually make me look like I’m as big as my biggest part I think this is how it al started... I used to have a very small waist and a sizeable booty & thighs. With the low rise jeans I couldn’t find a pair that covered my rear & with the high rise the waist would always have the dreaded gap, so I started wearing dresses more and more. I do like the look of the coloured jeans, and I always feel people make them look so stylish and cute. But when I try them it feels forced or something...

I love dresses, pretty much all I wear in summer. I can't go more than a day or two without shaving. I hate the feeling of leg stubble.

I do wear a dress about once a week in the summer, because it's hot AF here and they can be cooler. But no way to wearing something underneath. And usually on Monday or Tuesday, so I don't have to perform a special shaving.

I rarely wear a dress, but when I do I wear maternity underwear underneath it. It's basically like spanx shorts but not as tight. It holds in the jiggle, smooths everything out & doesn't cause chafing when my legs rub together.

I only wear dresses on very windy days when I'm sure I'll flash someone. J/k. I wish I could pull this off. I love the 50s style dresses.

I have to go to a mandatory fun event at work in APR and the theme is 50s, but it's a formal so this wouldn't be fancy enough (or warm enough).

I had a couple that I recently had to get rid of because they were just too big and ill-fitting (I got them after having Dude so I was a little heavier at that time).
