I know these are coming up for several of us, so I thought I’d start a thread.

Ours was today. Perinatology wanted to do it early (I’m 17w3d) due to our history of baby heart defects. Everything they saw looked great. There were two small things they couldn’t get because of position (one face view and one hand) so I’ll go back for that in a month but they said it wasn’t concerning.
DS1’s heart defects were missed at our anatomy scan and our fetal echo at 21 weeks, so there could still be an issue. But with our first pregnancy we had the anatomy scan at 18 weeks and it was immediately evident that baby’s heart wasn’t correctly formed. So we feel reasonably confident at this point that even if they find something later, it would be surgically repairable. Our fetal echo is in a month.
I did find out that I have an anterior placenta. That better explains why I have been feeling some movement but not as much as I’d expect for having four pregnancies that made it this far before.
I hope everyone else’s scans go well!

I'm glad everything went well at the scan! Did you find out the sex or are you waiting until birth?

trtlcrzy we already knew it was a boy from my NIPT blood test at 10 weeks. We didn’t find out until birth with our first and third kids, but since we were hoping for a girl this time, we decided to find out early to give us time to accept it if it was other boy - which it is Our oldest is a girl and then we’ll have three boys.

I had mine like 5 weeks ago. Everything looked great with both babies. I have both an anterior and posterior placenta. I think baby A has the anterior one.

I have complete previa. I hope it will move. I'm having a C-section anyway but it still makes me nervous

cribs I think it’s still pretty early and it’s likely to move, right? I feel like I remember that from a prior pregnancy....

cribs oh got it! So are you restricted from exercise and sex? I currently have hypermesis so my activity is super low anyway! But yeah none of those things happen when I'm pregnant regardless so it's the same as usual lol

I'm getting an early anatomy scan Friday, and we will hopefully find out the gender then because the NIPT didn't have a high enough fetal fraction. I also am getting the amnio that day, so it will be a very low-key activity weekend for me afterwards!

I don't even have mine scheduled yet 😭 but by my calculations it should be somewhere around Valentine's Day, so I'll be waiting around with you guys!

It’s less stressful that way and I get my days/times that I want usually. But yes, the feb appt still seems so far away.

My doctors have always tended to schedule anatomy scans for around 18 weeks. Thank goodness for that with my first pregnancy, or I wouldn’t have had enough time to get results of follow up testing and see additional specialists while still in the window to make a decision, legally.

My anatomy and fetal echo scans are in two weeks. No history of heart defects, but this is an IVF pregnancy, so this is standard for my OB.
I did the state genetic screening for the 2nd trimester. Do other states do this genetic screening as well?

Anatomy scan was yesterday. Everything they saw looked great but baby didn’t cooperate for all the heart views so I go back in 4 weeks so they can try to get better pics of the heart.

Had our scan today. Everything looked great. We are having a 3rd boy! I'll be honest and say there is a little bit of disappointment that I won't ever have a daughter, but 3 boys will certainly be a whole lot of fun lol (and I won't have to buy new clothes lol)

danib Congratulations! If we have a boy this time, we will also have 3 boys, no girls. I have torn feelings about that too. Mostly because H wants a girl so badly.

Yay for a great scan, danib! I get the disappointment though. I think of all of us on this board who know what we’re having, they are ALL boys, right? I think that includes me, willow, hangry, ttcbabyj, who am I missing?
