WTF. Why are crib skirts so expensive? No shit! And two years ago I had THE hardest time ever finding just a plain white crib skirt. Everything had a stupid stripe or pattern. Annoying. DD never had one and DS's came in a crib set my mom bought. I had no idea. I'm not sure what I want yet, but I know I don't want to pay $30+ for it. Maybe this means I should finally learn to sew?

I have a sewing machine, brand new in box, that I got for Christmas about 3 years ago. Clearly my sewing aspirations fell pretty flat. But I was going to sew all of the things... Good luck to you!

I didn't do one with DS. Seemed like just one more thing I'd need to wash/ that would collect dog fur. For the twins, I thought about it, but saw the prices and decided to spend the money on something else. Especially because I seemed to pick out the most expensive ones every time!

I know, I think I ranted about this here somewhere before! I ended up finding one on sale for $16 mostly b/c I wanted free shipping, but it was originally $50!!! And it's like as thin as a sheet, and not even a high % one. So strange.

Does anyone have this glider or one like it? I'm looking for something relatively narrow to fit in our small nursery. Wondering about quality and durability. Reviews seem mixed. www.toysrus.com/product?productId=38935366

Anyone have a recommendation on blackout curtains? I hate to spend a fortune on them (I'm looking at you, Land of Nod), but want to make sure they actually keep the room dark!

Pillow Fort makes black outs and they have cute ones! That's what we got for E's big girl room. They were clearances down $13.

It have a weird sized window without blinds (and of course, the light comes in from that direction).

She has these shutter things in her windows, but they don't keep out much light. The pillow fort curtains make her room so much darker when combined with them. DS has Eclipse brand blackout curtains. They also work pretty well.

Gosh darn it you guys! Those pillow fort curtains are SO cute, all of them! I can't decide, tassels, clouds, stripes? I think they still are fairly cheap once I add crappy international shipping and duty, so I might just order some

We have had it since before DD was born and it has held up really well. It is pretty comfortable. I would recommend it!

I forgot to take lighting pics this morning when the sun was at its brightest. Come back tomorrow and I'll probably remember.

Well... So far (please dont let me jinx myself lol) the decals have been fine. None have fallen off or anything. Maybe because we just painted that room and its free from any dirt/dust? So far I'm calling it a win!

Things are coming along, finally! We need to put up the cloud shelves (I think I will put them in the corner with the AC unit, one on each wall) and some other decorations. I have a couple cross stitches that my grandma made that were mine as a baby. And I may also get a couple new prints that I had put on the registry. Plus the cloud decals on the wall behind the crib!
