I’m tired. I really want to stay home but I need to go in and get things done. C is off today so when I get home I can actually focus on school work without dealing with the kids. I love them but they do not create a great study environment.

Morning!
C has school this morning. B came home from golf yesterday with a headache and low fever, then had a really restless night, so I’m keeping him home. I had a couple errands I wanted to run, hopefully DH will get home early and I can do them then.

flamingo Hopefully B's headache/fever is fast! Evie was the same yesterday and woke up fever free this morning, so I sent her to school. Nothing exciting planned here. tallb will you share pics here of K? I'd love to see her!

At work. All 3 kids randomly woke up at 5:30am? Not sure why. Luckily I was pretty much ready for the day so I got to snuggle with them until my in-laws got over. MH gets home tonight but probably not until the kids are all in bed.

SSDD. Have I mentioned I'm sooooo tired. I was planning on going to bed when Cadence fell asleep, but the new season of AHS started last night. I was underwhelmed and wished I had just gone to sleep instead.

Morning. My cousin and his wife welcomed a baby girl last night at 2.16am!! I was getting text updates from them all night, the cats were all over me and unsettled, B was sleeping weird and I had to check on him a couple times, and MH was snoring so I am tiiiiired 😴.
But...No time to be tired, I have another course day so I’ve got to chug some coffee and learn.

Cadence has a substitute teacher for the rest of the week and I think Tuesday of next week(Monday is a student holiday)...not sure. Anyway, I start reminding her to listen and not act a fool just because her teacher isn't there.
"Mom, teacher already told us all of this. I got it."
"Well, but if you are really helpful and follow all the rules, the sub might leave a note for your teacher saying how good you were."
"Seriously? She might do that?"
"Oh yeah, sure."
"OK!!"
This kid just loves praise, I swear. Hopefully she acts right while her teacher is away.

M checked it out from the library last year. I think there's a video for it, too. We had a bit of money left over from our house renovation so we figured we should go somewhere, just the 2 of us. It's been over 5 years so it's time. Cozumel and Costa Maya. Honestly, I don't even care. I just want kid free time. |

I’m at work. It’s steady but not bad. I have to pack tonight, so I need to pick up something for dinner. We’re headed to my mom’s this weekend. Her 60th birthday is in about 10 days, but since it’s Mh’s off week, we’re going to celebrate this weekend. Should be fun, but a short trip.

There was a large fire across the street from mh's office. The electricity is still out at his office so he's getting to stay home until further notice. I feel like he gets more sleep than Cadence and I combined. So not fair.
ETA: no one was injured

I had a look of shock on my face when I learned M's school starts at 7:30 and I am in no way involved with getting her to school!!! I am not a morning person either. And my parents definitely are not, which is the main reason they will not watch the boys overnight, because they don't want to wake up with them. |

Morning ladies. That sounds like an amazing trip tgrimes. I loved Miss Nelson is Missing flamingo. The girls got a kick out of it too. SSDD here. I'm annoyed at my co-irker. She's assigning work this week. I've been given a disproportionate amount of cases. It's pretty simple--person a)2, b)4, c)3, Me-5. I also had a higher proportion last week factoring in days off. I asked her to reassign the last case she gave to me based on this simple logic and she comes back with this BS convoluted response that has her supposedly doing the most work (of course) instead of just reassigning the f*$%ing case. I hate people sometimes...most of the time. |

Morning! I’m going through newborn clothes and bumming on the couch. I’ll be bringing my niece home from preschool so hopefully her and H entertain each other all afternoon. I basically went to bed when the kids did last night, but then slept terribly. But so far, I’m in a better mood today. tgrimes, that sounds fun! My contractor ended up not charging us for painting all of the ceilings and a few other things, which we had factored into our estimate. |

My parents visited after the kids and she screamed/cluster fed the entire time.
