Hi! We got a little sleep last night, so that was good. We are being discharged soon, but I feel a bit weak so just laying low for a bit. My parents visited after the kids and she screamed/cluster fed the entire time. She slept for the kids though, which was perfect and they were so smitten.

Good morning!
It’s cold here! I had to put the heat in this morning!
Just Charlie and me today. He’s busy with play doh and I’m changing sheets.
I think we’ll be home all day today.

The school nurse called me this morning because Josie took a tumble from the bus steps and has a big goose egg on her head. She was already asking to go back to kindergarten and there were no tears, but I’m appreciative of the call anyway.

In other news, I don’t think our kitty is doing well. He’s taking a real sharp turn eating/liter box wise in the last two weeks so I called the vet this morning and they’re going to try and fit us in this weekend.

I got a call from school yesterday because C had an accident and needed new pants/underwear (I typically have clothes in his backpack but he hasn't had an accident at school in years so I took them out). I was worried he'd be embarrassed. Nope. He told me not to put extra clothes in his backpack because it was so fun getting to hang out in the office. Let's hope this isn't the start of "accidents" on purpose!

Like half of who I follow on IG is from here.  I actually set up IG a few years ago based on FOMO of people saying they were posting there.  

But I don't often post anything.  But I don't post a lot on any social media, really.

I went to Google Play to download the IG app...and I can't even figure out which one to download.  This goddamn technology.

I still forget to check IG b/c I mostly follow design-related stuff, so I log in a couple times a week and have lots of catch up (so apologies if I ever miss someone's post!) FB is still my #1 by a lot, annoying as it can be...it's just so ingrained in my routine. My university was one of the first outside Harvard to get it, so I've had an account since fall 2003. Kinda hard to believe when I think about it!

I'm like a Nana. I FB and that's it and that's all I think I'll ever do. Something will replace it one day, and I'll be like the only person still on Myspace because I refuse to catch up with the times.

A cruise sounds fun tgrimes , enjoy it! Y'all deserve some time away for sure, esp. after surviving a reno!

Everyone can send all the kids to my dad, he is up by 5 a.m. every day. It's great b/c when we visit he is already well into his day when my kids start stirring, so he makes breakfast for them, they walk around in the yard checking out nature, etc. He really needs to run a Grandpa Summer Camp, lol.

I got a new phone awhile back and didn't even download snap chat. I was just over it. I prefer stories in IG.

Maddie's boyfriends have increased from 1 to 3 in a matter of days. Oi.

One of Maddie's sight words this week is "bottom." For her homework she was supposed to write sentences with some of the words. So she wrote, "My bottom is stinky."
MH asked what her teacher would say about that.
M: My teacher would say, "Madison come up here. What is this about?" And I'd say, "Well, my bottom really does stink. I have a lot of gas."

After I dropped the boys off I took my car to the dealership to have a recall replacement done. It will take 5 hours so my mom came and got MJ and I. So we're stuck at home all day. I got half the house vacuumed and the kitchen swept and spot mopped. Waiting on her to conk out so I can finish vacuuming and hopefully spot clean the carpet in our bedroom.

It's pouring and you know how easily it floods here.  The majority of it was Northwest of us.  But it decided to move south again.  Imelda is a bitch.


My friend works at Texas Children's Hospital and they just received an email that flood gates are being initiated and they can't leave until the threat of high water is over.  If her H can't make it to the school I'll be getting her kids.

I just remember Imelda Marcos.  That's what daycare used to call M because my MIL would pick her up and take her shoe shopping.
