Unrelated. Have any of you been following this Flan nonsense on GD? Basically she's a troll--not even that good of a troll, but so many people can't resist going on for pages quoting and responding to her. They take decent threads and turn them into the Flan show because they can't just ignore her. Yeeepppppp. The UO and I think FFFC the last two weeks have been like that.

Apparently the rationale is it was supposed to help with visually-impaired people who use text to speak (but as many pointed out wouldn't that be more helpful then if the name was put at the beginning of the post?). *shrugs* At first apparently some people thought it was odd, but endearing when they realized the meaning, but then I saw it exploded into a crap storm of craziness soon after that and she's no longer endearing to most. I think her trolling is very D-list and easy to just scroll over. I don't know why others don't follow suit or just block her.

If my kid tells me she hates me one more time!!! All I wanted was for her to take a shower. I even told her 5 minutes until bath time. She said ok. Then when bath time arrived she ran and hid and refused to go. It's really annoying, especially when it's every. single. night.

I don’t know if I’ve mentioned but I’m currently obsessed with the show “good bones” on HGTV. I have been watching all the seasons on demand which is probably why I have caught the home improvement/ decorating bug. Before I came to work I went outside to water my plants because it got to 80 today and I’ve been a bit neglectful of my garden. I have declared war on all rabbits. They have started eating my plants again so I spread some repellant and put up a couple of cages. Grr. Dumb animals. I’m sorry klong11. Could your H take care of bathtime for a while to give you a break from it. It’s great when kids are so independent, but not so great when they give you all the sass and attitude.

trtlcrzy he isn't here tonight. He has done it the last couple of nights and she acts the exact same with him. She has apologized to me for this evening, thankfully. I just asked her to put on her PJs and she started legit crying. When do they get used to school schedule?!?!

klong11 - Who knows? It honestly took maybe 6 weeks to 2 months for Colin to even out last year, but he was also a year younger during that adjustment. Fortunately it's been smooth sailing this year. Great news lfig!!

Also hi. Slightly better mood today, though still ready to tell people at work to shove it multiple times a day.
Anyhow seems we are more or less adjusted to the new schedule. Colin seems really happy and aside from repeatedly injuring his face, Chase is enjoying his new class.
Re: the lunch talk. Colin brings lunch Monday through Thursday and buys every Friday for pizza day. It would be easier to have him buy daily but he eats healthier this way - at lunch at least!!

Also klong11 does she like music? C loves it and we made a playlist on my phone called Callan’s Jams. I’ve had a lot of success putting it on and telling him it’s time to shower dance. We start with Old Town Road which is his favorite and always makes him happy. We also just got past a very hateful stage where I felt so beaten down by his words. Luckily it’s turned around and while he’s in a good place we are really reinforcing respect. All that so say I get it and I empathize. Especially when you’re feeling down already, having the person you love the most be mean to you cuts deep even if you logically know it’s not really how they feel.

wedding old town road is the clean up song at aftercare. I don't think j had heard it and now loves it. That's a cute idea to make a playlist. Also we tend to do more daily bathing during the week bc visible dirt..n could have used a power washing tonight even. We tend to do every other day in cooler months though.

Are you all bathing your kids daily? Yes, it's part of our routine. They take a bath or shower b/n dinner and bed.

Are you all bathing your kids daily? Yes. It’s hot as balls here and both of them are sweaty messes when I pick them up. It’s just part of our nightly routine and we’ve been doing it since they were babies. Sometimes they have time to play in the bath and other times it’s 3 min to wash/scrub them.

B has daily PE but even on non-school days he gets hot and sweaty playing; then once it cools off, I feel like school is a germ factory, and I want them sanitized, lol. Plus I like the night time snuggles with nice clean children in nice clean pjs

Are you all bathing your kids daily? Not so much now that it's cooled down here (well, it just got hot again), but yes if sweating, sunscreen or bug spray are involved. If they stay pretty clean we do e/o typically.

So my MIL is coming tomorrow afternoon so this was our last regular night of just the four of us. It was nothing special, hot dogs and fruit bc we were not organized and skipped the PTA meeting bc I got home too late. I'm of course a bit sad about it. I was the same before N, but could be a solid week of MIL visiting...granted she's super quiet and goes to bed early.
Mh and I are both a bit anxious about tomorrow bc I don't want to have the baby tomorrow and I have a doctor's appt, so likely to do a check, which could stir things up. I'm a Pearl harbor baby and our anniversary is awkwardly tomorrow, so with my luck, it will happen tomorrow😣.

Definitely daily baths here, especially this time of year. Though Colin went through a rough period last winter where he had some BO going on, even with daily baths. The Dial soap and making sure he doesn't sleep with his head under the covers seems to have helped.
Which reminds me, I need to check that he's not buried under his blanket before I pass out.

I was also very sappy about the last everything before having my babies, I think it’s normal.

Cadence gets bathed most evenings unless we have a late activity. Tomorrow night she's doing that pizza thing with mh and so she won't get one. She also doesn't take one on either Friday or Saturday night, depending on what she did that day. I prefer her bathing every night as part of our routine and to help her learn schedules/time. I'll try music wedding. Hopefully it helps.

Are you all bathing your kids daily? Absolutely. ETA: Being from the south, baths were and still are a daily thing for me. It never occurred to me until college that people didn’t bathe daily. I very rarely go without a nightly shower. If I leave the inside of my house, I’m showering. Same goes for the kids.
