Cadence won't buy the hamburgers because they aren't cheeseburgers. It's crazy they don't offer the option of cheese. Yeah...you can have a hamburger or a veggie burger. No cheese. Or at least it isn't listed as an option, maybe it's there. Cadence also came home saying they couldn't buy just milk. I think she was misinformed because everything is an a la carte option is they bring their lunch. LIke they can bring their lunch, but still buy the fruit. I need to bring it up with her teacher to get clear information.

Evie has me check the school lunch menu on the regular. But she still refuses to buy it, even though I put money in her account. Every day, turkey and cheese, grapes, cheese cubes and maybe an applesauce squeezie. She asked me if she could buy milk, I even emailed her teacher and told her that was fine, but she still hasn't. She takes a water bottle daily.
Her complaint is that they don't get enough time, it's loud and there are annoying kids she has to sit by.

C's lunch account went down so it appears he bought a lunch. Whether or not he ate it is yet to be determined. My neighbor was telling me that all the rage is the pickles in the salad bar lol

H has bought hot lunch every day so far, and of course chooses chocolate milk. I don’t think she’s doing a super great job of eating her food, when I ask she tells me she ate what is on the list. But then won’t tell me specifically what it was. She didn’t eat the chicken teriyaki so that is def a bring a cold lunch day. I also printed out the menu and have highlighted a couple days I knew she wouldn’t like the entree. I think they get a lunch card to pay with but I’m honestly not sure on that one. She’s been asking to bring a cold lunch so I think we will try that tomorrow.

Hi. Both kids are home from school and had good days. So funny, C will tell me everyone in her class, what they did, etc. I’m lucky if I can get one or two things out of B and he knows maybe 4 other names, lol.
I found a dress at (surprise!) Dillard’s...my poor mom, I texted her pics of 8-10 dresses as I tried them on. The one I found was 65% off, so I took myself down to the shoe department for some new sandals to go with it 😁

My morning with just A was amazing. I watched bachelor in paradise and cleaned while he did his thing. We played and snuggled and it was the best. L is having a hard time with school so hoping that improves soon.

Hey hey! My life seems to be in a tailspin lately. But I think I’m starting to crawl out of it.
Last week we had 2 appts for Sierra. One with the neurosurgeon who was pleased with her shunt. We just hit 3 years since he last replaced it 🙌. Then we met with the neuromuscular doctor about her multi focal motor neuropathy (her hand issues). He was super thrilled with the progress we’ve seen from the infusions. He wants to *try* to back off from every 4 weeks to every 5 weeks for a few months and then every 6 weeks. Slowly spacing the treatments. But if we see any decline then we will go back to every 4 weeks.
Then I had my left carpal tunnel surgery on Thursday. So much better than the right hand! And I can *almost* do everything I need to again!

I hope it gets better quickly for her!

S buys breakfast and lunch almost every day. I packed her lunch once this year. I usually just write a large check to cover her for a while. Then when that runs out they send a bill and I do it again.

Also...(please don’t let me jinx myself here 🤞)... It has took a while to get Sierra’s BiPap therapy consistent. Mainly due to poor mask fit. But we are finally there after trying many different masks! And now that we have good, consistent sleep, she’s actually having noticeably less seizures!

I’m currently still packing lunch. I told Josie the after meet the teacher next week that I would let her buy every so often after we look at the menu together. lahdeedah— I turned my cell number into a song for the kids. I’m pretty sure they can’t recite it in speech, but they can sing it for you! It’s to the tune of jingle bells. lfig, I’m glad to hear of the improvement but I’m sure all of those appointments and the surgery made everything a little nerve wracking. @wine, poor L. Hope school gets easier for her! Josie had the hardest time when she started— in both the 2s and 3s.

Busy day! I made some stops before returning home. I chose the Van Deusen blue for the cabinets in the mud room and started painting and I love it. Will post pics once I finish the cabinet doors- probably tomorrow. I also finished pressure washing the driveway, made some IP pinto beans to freeze, cleaned the master bath, and now I’m about to fold a load of laundry and chill out for an hour before I have to get the boys.

This is the most I’ve accomplished in a single day since moving. 😆 I think it was the protein/energy drink I had this morning. I might be on to something when I need a boost to be productive😅

I miss spending all day reading what everyone else is up to. I am still loving my new job and C is doing great at the sitter’s. Today there were no tears and he went in yelling “hi babies!” He is not the oldest but definitely the biggest so I guess he has decided the rest of them are the babies.
Currently at the park next to the hockey rink letting the littles play while DS practices. The location scout came back today to say he’s pretty sure the director wants to use my house for the commercial. We will know for sure tonight.

Hi ladies. It's been a busy couple of days. Cass started school yesterday and it went well. Today she was supposed to have a breakfast date with Maddie. M loves school breakfast and has been talking it up to Cass like crazy. We told her on the first day we'd just focus on walking her to her class, but on the second day she could take her to breakfast. Cass doesn't want to try school lunches yet. I hope she'll change her mind soon. I never ate school lunch so I feel like a bit of a hypocrite, but our lunches were also disgusting. M loves them and eats them almost all the time. Hopefully Cass will follow suit once she sees some of the meals.

An opening came through at ENT and I was able to get it. I had to squeeze it in during one of my busiest days at work. Basically they said there's still some signs of irritation left, but the outer ear infection is mostly improved. But there's still fluid behind the ear drum accounting for my other symptoms. I was prescribed Predisone. The hope is that will alleviate the inflammation in time, but it could take weeks. They said this is why some kids get tubes, but they don't think that will be necessary in my case. I'd feel like a 4 yo if I needed tubes.

Unrelated. Have any of you been following this Flan nonsense on GD? Basically she's a troll--not even that good of a troll, but so many people can't resist going on for pages quoting and responding to her. They take decent threads and turn them into the Flan show because they can't just ignore her.

T bought pizza at school Friday. He came home and said “all I wanted was pizza and chocolate milk but the lady put all this healthy stuff on my tray.” I think it was just like a salad mix.
