Agree with wineallthetime about the trim throwing it off. I would do something closer the the trim color.

I agree with the others. It’s reading yellowish due to the trim.

You could just paint the trim too?

You could just paint the trim too? I am not going to do that. It’s the same color throughout my entire house, including cabinets and doors. It would be a huge undertaking and I don’t mind the trim color.

My new mudroom cabinets. I went with the lighter blue because this area doesn’t get any natural light and a truer navy would have been too dark. I love it! Thanks flamingo for suggesting the colors. Before and after. Now I need to find coat hooks.

lahdeedah love the colour, very pretty! Maybe some old school cast iron school hooks mounted in a natural wood plank would be nice?

The finish looks 👌🏻👌🏻 I used a skinny foam roller because I saw Southern Charm’s Naomi and her mom rolling paint on her cabinets with it on an episode. Lol! When I first started I thought it looked textured, but when it dried I was very pleased. I did use the shortcut brush for the grooves and cutting in.

(And Southern Charm FTW, I love it!) I used a roller on the built-ins at our last house, and I was OK with it, but yours looks even better. Making a mental note for the next house.

Ok, let’s start with the living room with it’s new paint
Poof
Then, I have a question. I have these 2 walls that need something on them. As you can see from the pic, if you are standing in the kitchen you can see both walls at the same time. Should I do art on both? A mirror on one? I don’t want to do a big gallery wall because I do have one very nearby. Also, you can see the old paint color on the stair wall in this pic. Ignore the mess on the table and buffet, that’s been my paint supply headquarters.

trtlcrzy, what about big pictures of the girls on one and art on the other? I just ordered 18x24 prints (poster size) of the kids for my dining room and can't wait to hang them.

I like it lightened up! trtlcrzy It’s hard to tell from the pics, but is it more of a light gray or off white/tan. Almost a griege, maybe? I’m bad about decorating walls because I’m so indecisive, but I know either over my buffet or in the foyer over the entry table I want to put a round mirror style. I’ve seen it done a bit lately and like the look.

It looks a little different on every wall depending on the light situation.

Here is an update on the curtain situation. I like the new ones I ordered and will be keeping them. I need to wash and hem them but here is what they look like hung against the wall color. I really like the pattern on them and the colors.

So here’s the project to do list- New kitchen cabinets- debating between white or a taupe/ greige color New countertops (looking at quartz) and backsplash. New flooring. Probably a vinyl plank that was recommended by our flooring guy. This will replace the 4 different floor types ok the main level (whyyyy??) New/ and or painted trim and doors to replace the golden oak. Updated banister... still trying to decide what to do with this. Scrape the popcorn ceilings and repaint walls Here’s our current kitchen, my inspo pics, and my mockup. I’d prefer the turn the island and move it out more where the current table is. Or make it a peninsula. We just want to open it up since it’s so tight around the island.

Then our dining room would get moved to the front room and that would get rearranged for a dining room/ sitting area instead of living room and desk area. Something like this... And the stair banister is currently this To something like this

Oooh. I like what you are planning. In the inspiration photos, is that the cabinet color you would like?
Also did you do the layout on an app or is that from a contractor?

We are doing our main floor bathroom starting next week. I already have everything picked out.
