3 day weekend

cagoldi I hate nothing more than trying to fix a printer. We don't even own one bc I refuse to deal with the maintenance. Hope my office doesn't mind doing all my printing needs..

Lazy day today. Hung around the house and worked on organizing and laundry. I dug out the extra bedroom and found a winter wardrobe for N from my niece. I tried going through a bin of random crap from the move and gave up, but I did pick out a few containers that I left out for j and he's SO excited. He didn't believe that I was letting him have them and has filled one with "important items" and put it under his bed. I forgot I loved repurposing stuff when I was little too, so hopefully this will inspire me to create a little box of things I need to purge but he can enjoy.

We are going to a splash pad that is supposedly super cool with as friends tomorrow but are meeting right at 10.

E is having nightmares today/tonight. I keep going in there and tubing her back until she relaxed enough and Dallas back asleep. But then I can’t sleep.

Morning! MH has sequestered himself to the office bc school starts tomorrow, Charlie’s doing a floor puzzle and Josie is my shadow this morning.
We’re going out for a late lunch today it otherwise no plans here.

Morning. Work again. I ordered groceries online for pick up from walmart that I will stop and grab on my way home. This is the first time we are trying it and for some unknown reason DH has been very against order pick up. I don't know what his deal is, but I told him I was doing it anyway this time. We are going to possibly try going to the water park this afternoon, depending on weather. Right before my surgery MIL won some tickets and this is literally the last day they're open so if it doesn't happen today then that's it. Nothing like waiting till the last minute.

I have mountains of laundry to do today and need to mow. A has driveway work to do. That's about it. I'll take the boys to a park if they get bored of the back hoe.

Hi girls. Normal monday over here. Up most of the night with dd, but here fever seems to be coming down a little, so 🤞🏻. My sister suddenly had her nursery done (due 12/9) and my mom tried to guilt shame me in to heading over there. When I told her I was busy this weekend, she told me I should cancel things because this was more important. I’m sorry you’re really saying I should cancel coffee with my grandparents and a play date with friends to look at a room for a baby that isn’t due for another three months...?

Morning. I’m at the kids after hours clinic with M. His finger isn’t doing much better so I want to get it checked out because he probably needs antibiotics if it is infected.

Not much on the agenda today. My mom is leaving just after lunch and MH is on his way back from GA. I may attempt to finish painting the trim in the guest bath so I can be done with that area.

DH is home! The ship he was on is heading to the Bahamas for relief work and thankfully his services were not required this time, so they flew some people back this morning. I told the kids we were picking up ‘a friend’ at the base airport—loved surprising them

We are having a date night ‘in’ tonight with filets and twice baked potatoes from Fresh Market 🤤

B starts school tmrw so I guess we should be doing something special but I am out of ideas 🤷🏻‍♀️ I’m just glad H is home for the first day.

Lots of labor for Labor Day here (not the baby kind). We are tackling all sorts of house projects. Dh is doing yard work and cleaning the garage while I’m cleaning out the camper since we’re done for the year and doing loads of laundry.

We’ll probably take the kids for Froyo later and grill for dinner. N starts school Wednesday and tomorrow is meet the teacher. She is so excited!

MH registered L for preschool. He JUST found paperwork last week that we were supposed to turn in a few weeks ago. So I rushed to get everything filled out and the forms from the Dr but the school was closed Friday. So now I need to go first thing in the morning to drop off the papers and hope they'll let her start tomorrow cause she's so excited! Also, my sister's niece is in the same class and I guess there was an orientation we totally missed too. So, off to a great start!

We got antibiotics because doctor says it’s infected. We went for a Target run so I could get a few items while they were on sale. I scored a slip n slide and a few packs of the bunch of balloons that were on deep clearance. Jokes on me because I opened one pack for the kids to play with and turns out these balloons were surprise stink-rotten eggs. 🤢

Poor kiddo lahdeedah. Hope the abx will help. Also, yuck to the smelly balloons...B ended up with some stinky silly putty at Christmas (total accident, the giver overlooked the packaging).

I am supervising pool time (water has already cooled off too much for me) while DH does the yard. Welcome home, honey! I was planning to mow tomorrow so now I'm off the hook.

Ew! What kind of balloon company is this?

I guess I should have specified- the water balloons. The ones that you just hook the water hose and voila- instant little water balloons. Why did they feel the need to create stinky ones is beyond me.

Soccer and fall ball start next weekend and thank goodness because these boys really struggle to play nicely together. Though DH is over the top and making things worse. I have both upstairs with me because his fuse is so short with them, and every time I so much as remind the boys to play nice, he's yelling up about one of them coming downstairs. Dude relax, just because they drive you nuts doesn't mean I don't have this under control. He's been on my last nerve this weekend, I'm ready to go back to work!!

Anyhow we took them to the parade this morning and left early because DH was convinced it was going to pour, which it did a few hours later. They were fine though, they already caught enough candy to last them to Halloween the way DH rations it out. I also saw an old co-worker who I pretty much see once a year, at this parade. I think I was pregnant with Colin when she was laid off, so she loves seeing how big the boys have gotten. We ran into another of my old co-workers at Costco yesterday, so it's been a good weekend for that!

We hung ot with friends last night and had a relaxing evening. Then I did a 2 mile swim this morning. When I came out E went out to play around 12 and I made him come in at 4. I've had too much heat for the day and I'm staying inn bed for a bit

I did call last week when I realized we were very late and they said it was ok so hoping we are good. I'm feeling like the total shit parent, especially since tomorrow is crazy with C's first day and her hopeful first day!

Hi! We had a fun weekend. Saturday we went to a bbq w some of the day care families, yesterday we did back to school errands all morning then went to a local fair at night where we met up w a bunch of friends. Today we cleaned and went through the kids drawers then just got back from the lion king

Not ready for reality again tomorrow!

I made this for supper tonight with roasted broccoli. Super yummy and easy! Next time I would add chicken at the end for protein.
