I went away to college and my parents sold our house and moved so the first time coming home they were in a different house. It was so weird. My brother just moved out out Friday to another state, and he won't be able to go home. I never actually lived here, so I'm sure it's a million times worse for him. Change is hard. flamingo I get super attached to homes too, I don't drive by the apartment even bc I miss parts of it a lot (okay just the location, nothing about the actual apartment). |

Morning all!
It’ been a lazy morning of putzing around the house for me, the kids are building and playing forts downstairs, MH is changing out a ring on the kitchen tap and by the way he’s acting it’s like he’s building us a whole new house 🙄
I think we’re going to the neighbours for a hot dog and marshmallow roast later, it’s kinda gloomy but as long as the rain holds out it’ll be fine

Hello! DH and I were in bed by *maybe* 9:30 last night, probably earlier, we were both so exhausted after all the fresh air and fun on the boat. I decided to turn off my alarm and wake up whenever, with plans to run during nap. I heard Col run to the bathroom sometime around 7 but he went back to his room, and next thing I knew, it was 8am. No clue when I last slept until 8 or slept ~10 hours in a single night. I feel oddly not tired, haha.
We hit up Costco and the grocery store this morning, with some random play mixed in. The boys played outside alone while we put groceries away, which probably paints a very different picture than the reality, which was open windows so they could keep me apprised of everything they did and multiple trips to the slider to stick their heads in. But it's progress, right? Haha.

I made IP chili for lunch and put leftovers in the freezer for a nice fall day when I don't want to cook. Then I made wine slushie for a get together this evening. Fx it's warm enough for the kids to play in the inflatable pool without turning blue. Only other thing is a lake swim tomorrow morning and it should be nice weather for it

Grrrrr.
I’m trying to setup a new printer and it keeps having g problems with the paper tray. I’m ready to throw the damn thing out of the window!
Went to Zumba, in the process of sorting a mountain of divorce papers, then it’s done housework, meal prep, and studying.
I really miss the kids.
Pete is letting me get Atticus early, so I will pick him up tomorrow when the little ones go down for nap and take him to Chuck E Cheese with his BFF.

Last beach day. The water was rough. I love getting tossed by the waves but this was exhausting. We are going to have an early dinner and then take the kids to the boardwalk one last time. Tomorrow we will clean up the house and then head home, watching the traffic apps to see when is best to leave then it’s officially back to work for me Tuesday.

I got rear ended on my way home from work, literally 3 blocks away. I was stopped and she hit her breaks so the damage isn’t too bad and no one got hurt. So annoying that now I get to deal with this. We are waiting on the cops, who should be here soon.

Was the rough waters the effects of the hurricane in the Bahamas? At 185 mph sustained winds, I can see water being rough in NJ. I hate to see the damage the Bahamas will have. 😔 flamingo Has your sis said how the weather has been in Jax? |

Just saw a video of the poor Bahamas, they are being flattened  It looks like a bomb went off. So far it’s ok in Jax but I think the rain will start tmrw. The areas immediately along the coast (PVB, St Aug, etc) and river were just issued mandatory evacuation orders (flooding/storm surge). She lives far enough inland that they’re not worried about water but obviously wind could be bad. BIL was on-call this weekend and she was afraid he’d get stuck at the hospital, but sounds like he’ll be coming home tmrw morning and someone else will be delivering the hurricane babies. 🙌🏻 |

So the main difference with this last migraine was that every time I moved my eyes, I got shooting pains. I've never had that before. That symptom has not gone away and I'm starting to think it's just going to be part of my new base level daily migraine. Its definitely a learning curve to stop just glancing around and actually moving my head. I have to close my eyes, look where I want to then open....

I think today was the last day for lifeguards so even if we make it back some time in the next few weeks, I won’t allow swimming. If it turns towards the Jersey Shore, I’m going to have to get someone here to move the stuff in the garage upstairs. We have flood gates designed to let the water in and out on the garage level and our next level is 13 feet up so that should be ok. |

peachsmama I know you said your ct was clear. You should go to an optometrist to make sure nothing is wrong with your eyes. You may have a tear in your retina.
