We got S Teacher assignments today. I don’t know any of the teachers but I’m pretty bummed cuz he’s with none of the kids from day care which also means none of the parents I’m friends with  I know he’ll do fine and make new friends right away but I won’t!! |

I had a busy day at work and now I'm relaxing with a beer and solo dinner. I'm at a hotel by myself. I need to do this more often! I've got a big swim in the morning and we have to checkin at 630am so my friend and I are staying closer but she's not leaving home until after dinner and then it's another hour drive. So peaceful!

This year for the first time ever, our school made 3 k classes instead of 2 and there are only 17 kids in each. I’m so happy because DS1 had 29 in his K class. T got the teacher my other had for k. She is sweet but very stern which he needs. We are at the beach and T seems good today. It’s a little cold though. School started last week but they're have been several new students move in. We got a letter home today that they are in the works of getting a 3rd teacher started. I have a lot of thoughts about switching kids after the start. We really like our teacher but E and his buddies are advanced after their daycare and older age. They are also used to transitions and teacher changes so I think they could handle it well but I wish they could group students by ability. |

MH had plans with friends tonight. The kids and I played with neighbors and now I'm on the couch alone with wine catching up on my shows. Not unhappy about it.

OMG H's trip to the ER is going to cost me a small fortune. Apparently my coverage for the ER changed this year, so in addition to my $300 copay, I also have to pay my deductible before insurance covers anything. FML. I’m sorry, I feel your pain. When C hit his head it was $1450 out of pocket for a doctor to spend 3 minutes with us. |

Talk to me about your WiFi enabled thermostat? Which model do you have and what do you like or don’t like?
I want one where I can turn it on and off from my iPhone. I don’t want to spend a ton but will if I have to.

Shopping win. I have the hardest time finding shoes for the girls. It shouldn't be that hard to find slip-on sneakers that fit and aren't a ton of money, but they are. Too hard to shop online because kids' sizing is all over the place. Made it to the Converse outlet store 12 minutes before it closed and found a pair that fit M well, on sale, and tax free.

Check with your gas/electric companies to see if they offer something like that. |

I don’t want to spend a ton but will if I have to. Amazon has a decent selection. The Emerson sensi has great reviews- over 2000- and is cheaper. There is one that is under $100 that isn’t very modern looking and one a little over $100 that is more modern. Check them out. Do check with your electric company for rebates or deals. ETA: Nevermind- just realized this is yesterday’s thread. |

I don’t want to spend a ton but will if I have to. We got the nest from our energy provider for a cheap price pretty easy to install and work from the phone. What I don't like about it is that it has settings by time and not category like asleep, home, away. Our programmable one had those and we just pressed at home when we were home during the day. But the twist to change the temp is easy. It senses when we aren't home and will go into eco mode. |
