I mowed our yard. While doing so, I noticed our neighbor and their neighbor, who both use the same guy to mow, hadn't had their yards mowed in awhile. So I asked if they wanted me to know theirs down, they both said yes please. I just did their front yards, but I am worn out.

Sunny41 the last visit before college is the hardest. When will you see SD again?

We got a dog that year, prob to try to replace her🤔

Sunny41 the last visit before college is the hardest. When will you see SD again? Not sure. I'm guessing we'll try and schedule a visit there at a time that isn't too crazy. But maybe a day over Thanksgiving and some time at Christmas. Thankfully now there is facetime and snapchat. Even though she is reasonably close she won't have a car and we don't want to pressure her to visit both families

Cadence and I just went to the corner store. It's a mile each way. She rode her bike with very little help. It took an hour, but I'm sure it will get faster once she gets better on her bike. She's shown great improvement just in the past few days.
Oh and she lost her top tooth while she was sleeping at my mom's. Luckily, they found it in the sheets. 5 teeth gone. Hoping we have a long break after this! Cants wait to see how the big kid teeth look when they come in. They are at least in the right spot so far.

Came over to my in laws for dinner and swimming. They’re out of town but MH’s cousin is staying here this week. He’s been doing an internship here and M is mesmerized by him.
H put on his floaties and jumped right in. No fear at all. It’s good, but also scares me for what’s to come as he gets older. Lol.
I’m in the house cooking aka drinking wine watching Netflix.

The boys have been nuts but DH cleaned out the garage and I got laundry and groceries done. Not a bad Sunday. Not an exciting day either, but I'll take it, haha

Sunny41 ah that must have so hard! I’m not sad this is not a thing over here. Students mostly study in a city nearby and stay at home due to rental and living costs.

My dad took C to Ct to see his cousins so dh and I went shopping and had lunch. It was a nice break. After c got back we went for a long bike ride. It was about six miles, which is less than usual but it was the first one with Cs new bike which is heavier so it was more work for him. I’m sure he will be back up to speed in no time.
I have the Sunday blues because the work week is shaping up to be rough. And the following week I am on a work trip the whole week so I feel like I have two weeks of work to do this week.
Also July went by so fast and suddenly I’m seeing signs of fall. Yesterday I saw three different places with firewood for sale! I need at least another month of summer.

tgrimes is H in swim lessons? Maybe he's ready or could do the survival class since pools are so common in your area? Glad he wasn't scared today though.

His eyelid surgery went well but he still doesn’t have control of the right side of his face from the bells palsey. He was already a slow eater but now it’s way worse. My mother continues to complain about it. I just feel bad for my dad. He’s trucking along though!

We had planned on starting him when we started M which would be next spring. But we had already talked (before all of this) about maybe stating him in the fall. It’s just hard with class times since we don’t work close to home and it’s not convenient for working parents.

I took the girls swimming. We were almost done when Maddie, my friend, and I decided to go off the diving boards a few times. Cass had already dressed and was watching us. She knew that area was too deep for her. The lifeguards did not care and a lot of other small kids were over there. Just after I jumped in, I see a lady talking to her and Cass walking out of the area. I call her back and run to her and a woman came over and told me she's not allowed over there. I explained she wasn't swimming and had just been hanging out on the towels (it was the only area grassy area). She just kept repeating she couldn't be over there. I almost went off on her because I couldn't believe that her way of dealing with the situation was telling a 5 yo to leave her parent. I was pissed. I like this swimming hole too but it will be a long time until I'd go again.

I need to get j proficient, so that's our fall activity for him, and may sign N up to if j can decide on where to do it. Some places are so $$, but the county ones fill up immediately.

inthekitty was the woman an employee of the pool? I’m having a hard time finding swimming lessons too. Our local Boys and Girls club is always full. I online chatted with one those schools that uses local gyms and hotels with pools and it was $379 for 4 thirty minute lessons. I believe my reply was “I didn’t realize Michael Phelps was teaching beginners in N.J.” I have a friend whose husband has a swim school 45 Minutes away. I contacted him last summer and told him to let me know when a Wednesday slot opened up since T didn’t go to school Wednesday. Nothing still and now he will be in school and I will be working.

M has lost three bottom teeth, the two middle that came in take up the whole space. Like I don’t know how that third tooth will fit if it starts to come in. I think both MH and his sister had to have teeth pulled so their adult teeth fit. 😬

lahdeedah our dentist has already told me that there's no way either boys' mouth will be big enough for all their teeth. He jokingly told me to start saving for braces now. My teeth were all messed up as a kid and I had to have 4 teeth pulled to get braces at like 15 years old b/c I still had baby teeth! S has not lost any teeth yet and I feel like it will be quite some time.

Yep, her mouth will need to get bigger to fit all these teeth. I jokingly told mh that braces were in her future and he got weird saying she wasn't going to need braces and absolutely not. Uh...huh? If she needs them, then she'll get them, he doesn't get to decide the state of her teeth. LOL

*snip S has not lost any teeth yet and I feel like it will be quite some time. M hasn't either. I know I've said it before but the dentist had to pull all of my baby teeth (except one that I dug out myself). I really hope M doesn't have the same issue.

kim22 at first it wasn't even clear she worked there because she was in casual clothes (tank top over a suit and had clearly been swimming herself). I thought she was just a meddling fellow swimmer. Then I realized she collected money at the gate. All the lifeguards were clearly identified.

What an odd thing to say, klong11. Colin hasn't lost any teeth yet but still, I just assume both boys will need braces because most kids could benefit from them.
