I’m watching Beyoncé’s Homecoming and all I can think about is how much I want my butt to look like hers. This is normal, right? Pretty sure there's no reasonable alternative. This. Every time I watch her I want her body. |

M started his summer program today. MH went to drop off some paperwork to them yesterday and she told him he could join them today on their field trip. I was hesitant for him to go on a field trip with a bunch of strangers. MH said he would be fine since he met a few of the teachers and kids. Yeah, but I don’t know the teachers and kids. They are going to a place with a splash pad and park,so I’m sure he is having fun.

Oh, I’m excited.
Remember awhile back when we were talking about the controversy over CA’s updated health frameworks curriculum?
Our district created an advisory committee with one rep at each school to give input on the implementation and feedback on the materials. I applied and was picked to be the coordinator for our elementary!
I would have liked to do it anyway, but the fact that it aligns with my program of study for my major is pretty awesome.

I talked to the ENT's nurse and she already faxed everything over to the infectious disease department at Texas Children's Hospital. The ENT won't be back until Tuesday though so that's when our formal referral will be. The nurse said they're usually pretty good about getting patients in quickly though so I hope she's right.

Wow guys, I'm such an awesome mom! Totally forgot L had an allergic reaction to abx last time she was put on them. Nothing major, just a horrible rash all over her whole body that started a week after being on them. Well.. guess who started abx a week ago and has a horrible itchy rash because her mom didn't even think of it before putting her on them again... She still has a few days left so the Dr is going to let me know how to proceed.
Pretty cool when you forget something like that..

Nothing major, just a horrible rash all over her whole body that started a week after being on them. Well.. guess who started abx a week ago and has a horrible itchy rash because her mom didn't even think of it before putting her on them again... She still has a few days left so the Dr is going to let me know how to proceed. Pretty cool when you forget something like that.. Oh shit! Technically, they should have noted her file regarding her previous reaction so they wouldn't prescribe it again....so it's not really your fault. |

Yes, it's also wise to talk to them when you get a new script to make sure it won't react with current meds. Doctors don't usually look into stuff like that when they prescribe something new. |

S had an allergic reaction to Prochlorperazine that she was prescribed for nausea when she had her shunt failure a few years ago. She broke out in an itchy rash. It was noted in her file, then I promptly forgot about it. Every time we are at an appointment or in the hospital they ask about it and I always felt like such an idiot because I didn’t remember it. It took me digging to figure out what it was all about and I finally remembered. But I felt like MOTY every time they asked and I couldn’t remember. |

cagoldi I’m glad you had a good session last night. We are here for you through this 💜. inthekitty I’m sorry for your family’s loss. But I understand where you are at because you just described my MIL who passed away a few years ago. I think I remember at the time you commenting on the similarities. The only difference is MH had zero patience for how his mom was and was super frustrated that she put herself in the state she was in. I am the one that was more patient because ultimately I considered her state to be because of mental illness. But it was definitely hard to watch her go down that road for so long and not want to help herself. Many hugs to you and I hope the girls handle it ok.
